Selfish Bond(Part 4)

Two with the other once again in a hellish world, their desire to push forward and bring about the end to the madness. Enemies at their doorstep, yet their linking hearts with one another.

The following afternoon, those companions finding their way through a forest. Both eventually coming across an enormous ruin, their eyes on the many ancient machines.

"This is what I mean, they are everywhere." Elec kneeling to the ground.

"From the look of them, it appears they'll be tricky to deal with. To think technology like this could withstand the test of time." Valor crouching down as well.

"Don't go letting down your guard this time, my supplies are low you know." The man's hand to his chin.

"Hah, right." The deity grinning, soon brushing his nose.

An encounter long ago still with the god, his old friend saving him from a powerful machine. The entity taking his lesson, further developing himself in those days. Valor shortly rising to his feet, sharply looking at his targets.

"I will take the attention while you slip in, we'll meet up on the inside." Valor's serious vision.

"Got some new tricks up your sleeves?" Elec smiling a bit towards him.

"Something like that." Returning a similar grin to his friend.

The god's icy aura flowing in the area, blurring his image. Elec surprisingly looking, watching him race onward. The deity setting small points on the field, soon appearing at the center.

Drawing his enemies attention, watching them rush at him. Those quickly reacting areas, rapidly freezing one after the next, solidifying the place in ice.

"Now that's a good one." Elec rushing through the thick mist.

Each playing their role, acting towards their strong point. A duo building on one another, pushing forward in their direction. One bearing witness to the development high above, their massive floating castle in the sky.

The enormous walls surrounding it, a sinister force flowing from the place. In the throne room, Xea sitting on his red seat. The entity's thick black armor, his long lizard tail slamming the side. Those green eyes on the projector, observing Valor and Elec in the Heaven's Ruin.

"Heh." Tapping his finger on the chair handle.

A powerful being stepping into a terrible realm, sending it into complete insanity. Their desire to claim what is within, steadily moving towards their wish. One in their mind, the Iconoclast's great feats.

A devil surpassing their limits, bringing down one threat after the next. An individual's presence no longer amongst them, his wish to surpass the demon.

"Iconoclast, you were far too softhearted. Someone such as yourself, who had power countless can only dream of. All of it going away, because you chose to give up your life to save some worthless rats." Shaking his head in pity.

An entity continuously pushing forward, rising to her many challenges. Innumerable desiring to meet her line, to bring down the mighty being. None able to do so, a great devil going out on her own terms, scarring her sentiments into the worlds in her final miracle.

"You were a rare one, a softhearted demon that brought forward miracles. With you gone, it has opened the way for me to be really forward going." His sinister smile.

A demon leaving behind her last miracle, passing on the torch to those of tomorrow. Enemies moving out from the shadows, no longer fearing her arrival. Many embracing their desires, pushing further than the last.

From below in the Heaven's Ruin, Valor and Elec standing mid way in. Old machines scattering around them, their eyes on their surroundings. Roots binding the walls and land, parts from the place everywhere on the ground.

"You got a lot stronger." Elec looking back to his friend.

"I went through a lot to shape my life, I am both stronger mentally and physically now." The god looking away a bit.

"I see..."

Eternally branding experiences over his years, a god steadily growing over the passing time. A person enduring his hardships, pushing onward in a hellish reality.

The two shortly continuing, the deity finding himself against an enormous machine on two legs. Red lights rapidly flashing, smaller monsters soon running out from the cracks.

"I have an idea, stall them for a bit. Though, take note to stay on the yellow marked tiles." Elec's hand to his chin.

"Guess that means I gotta lure them to the red marked ones." Slightly smiling to his friend.

"Correct." The man returning a similar grin.

Feeling the heavy movements from the massive machine, Valor's eyes shifting ahead. The smaller enemies slowly surrounding them, this unsettling situation to the two. Elec quickly dashing out, slipping through the line.

All the while, the deity swiftly striking the field. His spreading icy energy, its force enveloping the area. The sounding alarm, a gas quickly releasing, evaporating the mist.

"Huh...as I thought, one of these fields to counter my power. Been a while since I dealt with it." Scowling a bit.

Lowering his stance a bit, aiming his katana backwards. His eyes on the massively approaching foe, its enormous sharp arm coming down on him. Stepping to his side, narrowly evading the attack, rubble flying into the air.

The smaller foes rushing at him, sparks emitting from them. Valor carefully stepping on one platform after the next, setting them in place. Another alarm shortly sounding, his attention above.

Electrical spikes emerging from the walls, floor, and ceiling, impaling the monsters. The harshly emitting force, frying them from the inside out.

"Talk about cutting it a bit close." Valor wiping the sweat from his forehead.

The deity watching the spikes leave the monsters, soon concealing in the shadows again. The machines falling to the ground, lying everywhere below.

"What would you do without me?" Elec walking in, expanding his arms to the god.

"Probably become a pancake haha." The deity's hand behind his head.

The two laughing, relishing in this blissful moment. Elec shortly turning, shifting his vision ahead. A person approaching his goal, a way to end it all in this instance. His decision to go forward, stifling his displeasure towards the solution.

"Sorry Valor, but after this. Please...go back to your family, and live that life you worked so hard to obtain..." The man's sad eyes.

Living in a nightmare for years, enduring the weight on his soul. A man keeping his eye on his goal, desiring to save his home. A person swallowing his pride, feverishly forcing forward in his direction.

The two shortly continuing, making their way to the back room. Massive roots around the corners, holes in the walls. A black and red gem floating on an altar at the center, this piece with its many possibilities.

"So that's the Destruction Gem huh." Valor folding his arms.

"Yes, it is..." Elec walking towards it.

"You okay...?" the deity noticing his friend's strange behavior.

An individual desperately calling on an old friend, needing their assistance to reach his goal. Cursing himself with each passing moment, having to suppress his disgust.
