A Knight’s Path

Darkness surrounding me, my cold heart freezing in this dread. Constantly carrying my sadness, laughters no more. A certain man entering into my life, flipping it on its head.

That person's hands staining in blood, someone directing great carnage. A pointless war amongst us, countless suffering. Bodies everywhere, losing everything in the madness.

My small self many years ago, looking up at the one responsible. The wind blowing underneath dusk, that intimating man's vision trailing the surroundings. His eyes soon on me, his hand extending to me.

“No amount of apologies can make this right, but know I did the best I could. Come, I shall provide a home to you, Raiser is my name.”

My shaking body, his words enraging me. Fury boiling at my depths, this man taking everything away from me. My family, everyone in this place. His words meaning nothing to me, a message setting a great fire within me.

Shortly choosing to follow him, his life in my mind. Walking along my dark road, my hand towards the joyful past, hoping to make it an actuality again.
