Chapter 1: Fateful Encounter(Part 1)

A realm of misery and war, those sweeping away in its madness. One underneath the bleeding light, her presence in a fort. Armor around it, the coldly blowing wind. Howling in the distance, this unsettling place.

That person standing by a wall, her long snowy hair. Dark armor on her, a mask covering her face. Secrets in the dusk, her reason towards her path.

Blackness in her heart, her vision on her goal. Proceeding forward, carefully listening to her surroundings. Shortly stopping, bracing back against a structure. Peeking out, two in the area, their lighter protection and thin weapons.

"The night shift is such a drag." One yawning.

"I know man, but we'll get our asses handed to us if we decide to be lazy." The other groaning, lowering his body.

Each within their direction, playing along in a wheel. Pushing forward in their course, believing in their way. Displeasure at times, these normals sentiments.

This job to the maiden, a far more difficult one. Carefully stepping out, reaching into her bag. Gripping a knife, locking onto her foe. Rushing out, closing in from behind. Stabbing into one's skull, his spilling blood.

A shocking situation to the other, his eyes meeting with her own. Removing her blade, quickly lunging at the second.

Pulling out his weapon, the mysterious individual slipping behind the person. Immediately plunging her knife through his neck, her back shortly facing the falling man.

"That honestly went better than it had any right to." The shrugging mercenary.

An area far away from the rest, enemies throughout the place. Their quiet steps, this unnerving situation. Her hand to her chin, trying to visualize her situation. Thinking on the make up of the fort, potential points to avoid.

Her target in mind, her client paying her good money for her success. Shortly letting out a sigh, facing an open path to her left. That maiden walking down the direction, soon finding herself on an old structure. Moving along it, the cracking area.

"You have to be kidding me..." Her unease.

Feeling the breaking floor, the ground collapsing underneath her feet. Her widening eyes, reaching for a ledge. Narrowly missing it, the mercenary falling below.

Her heart within, yearning to see her hatred through to its end. Hitting platforms on the way down, crashing in front of a cell.

Taking a bit of time, eventually catching herself. Rising to her knee, her attention ahead, her vision meeting with a prisoner.

That individual's long crimson hair, her eyes of the sun, this person chaining to the wall. Someone wearing a grey top, her bottom wrapping below in a black dress.

Closely looking at the young woman, seeing someone from her past. Quickly rising to her feet, that image going away. Sentiments inside, her grim expression. Knowing the truth, that person no longer there.

The light in her life going away on a dreadful night, those flames never leaving her. These frustrating feelings, her enemy in mind.

Seeking after them for years, yearning to bring meaning to the demise of one. Her eyes on the dehydrating individual, seeing some injuries on them.

"This has nothing to do with me." Facing away, her hand behind her head.

The story has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

"W--wait! Please get me out of here!" her desperate voice.

Her ill fortune this night, her boiling emotions. Taking on a difficult job, enemies around every corner. Her uncertainty on their specific locations, carefully making her way through. The floor giving way under her, now finding herself before a young woman in need.

Clenching her hand in and out, trying to think of something. Turning to the person, walking up to the gate. Harshly kicking in the object, breaking it down. The maiden heading forward, shortly standing before the prisoner.

"Saving you is not part of my job. You will be but extra baggage, so what are you willing to pay for your freedom?" her hand on her waist.

"I am a noble, and a researcher for the Kingdom of Valice. I can get the funding necessary to pay you once I am free." Her worrying eyes.

"Why there of all places...?" the maiden slightly looking away in disgust.

Someone from a kingdom of her past, those days still with her. Her heart once with them, doing her best. Growing up from the depths, making her way higher.

Clashing against her enemies, a sword for the king. Eventually taking up another job, cherishing one from those days. Taking out her knife, the noble-woman trembling a bit.

That mercenary swiftly striking, shattering the chains on the prisoner. The person sighing in relief, soon rising to her feet. Confronting the maiden, her hands on her waist.

"Is the coin the only thing that drives you?" her stern expression.

This individual before her, someone reminding her of another. Those eyes of the sun, that soul from her distant days. This behavior to her attention, thinking on her actions from the past.

A pure person coming into her life, shining light on her road. Her gratefulness to that one, her never dying emotions. Thinking back, those times rushing through her.

Days from old, the wind on a warm morning. The light extending through the balcony, revealing two within its gleam. The maiden there, her black armor on her. Sitting down on a bed in this castle, her red eyes on the princess ahead of her.

Their long blonde hair, those eyes of the sun. That individual's displeasure towards the knight, her hand on her waist. These two close hearts, their bond with the other.

"Jeez Atlalune, would it kill you to escort me somewhere for free? Just us you know." Frustratingly looking away.

"Princess, as much as I would like to. The Royal Order doesn't pay me at a five star rate, but I suppose this once I can make an exception for you." Her soft smile.

These pure sentiments, a knight relishing in it. Appreciating this person in front of her, someone coming into her life, casting light on her path.

Her vision on the princess, seeing her brightening expression. That individual turning from the maiden, joyously holding her hands to her chest, her hasty heart.

Those days forever with the mercenary, her heart wanting them again. These emotions within her, a fire never leaving her. Her enemy in mind, that forever branding event.

Hatred guiding her, continuously forcing down her direction. Refusing to remain in silence, reaching for one from her past. That turning maiden, her hand on her waist.

"Let's go, princess." Atlalune heading off.

"I suppose beggars can't be choosers." Sol frustratingly folding her arms, following behind them.

Two meeting in this place, an extra job on the maiden's hand. Familiar sentiments to her, keeping them to herself. Walking down her dark path, yearning to find another within it.

Hoping that individual shows herself, needing her light. From outside the cell, the mercenary handing the ex-prisoner a container of water. Her vision away, this action to the person.

"You should drink some water."

"Oh...thank you." The noble-woman lowering herself a bit, accepting the offer.

Thinking on it, a mercenary likely doing their job. Someone accepting the terms, doing their best for their client. Something more possibly within, the young woman's uncertainty. Drinking the water, quenching her thirst.

A sigh soon leaving her, the young woman shortly returning the container. Those capturing her, putting her in a cell. Barely taking care of her, this harsh environment.

"That helped a lot. I am Sol." Her hands behind her back, faintly smiling at the maiden.

"Atlalune." Facing away.

"So, why are you here by the way?" Sol curiously pressing her index finger to her chin.

"Need info on the Kingdom of Valice, my first job's requirement." Folding her arms.

"Why are you trying to harm them...?" the noble-woman uneasily holding her hands to her chest.

A natural question, someone from the kingdom. Those from this place capturing her, a strange situation. Pieces eluding the mercenary, wondering on the purpose of imprisoning their own.

Suspecting an angle, her vision slightly to her side. Moving forward, finding a corner. That maiden sitting down, her arms over her legs.

"I work for the highest payer, nothing complicated." Her eyes to the young woman.
