Chapter 2: A Light From the Past(Part 3)

A similar belief to another, someone suspecting those creatures. Iguanas running around, performing some interesting actions.

Those fascinating animals to the former knight, yet someone else believing them to be the worst. An irrational fear guiding the person's way, trying to connect the smallest insignificant points.

That mercenary pointing to the researcher's shoulder, her vision steadily shifting to her side. Her pale expression, an iguana hanging on. Raising their head to her, barking at her. Panic coming over the noble-woman, this innocent one running around the area.

"Get it off Lune! Hurry!" screaming out.

Two along an endless stream, venturing in the vast world. Creatures everywhere, their small quirks. Some pleasantly interacting, others keeping their distance.

The former knight watching the sight, remembering the past. A chuckle leaving her, faintly smiling at the occurrence. The noble-woman's eyes shut, racing in her direction. Bumping into her guard, her opening vision.

The mercenary holding her steady, seeing tears in the researcher's eyes. Reaching forward, gently grabbing the animal. Setting it down on the ground, the creature looking up to Sol, raising its claws to her.

"Looks like he likes ya." Atlalune folding her arms, her soft grin.

"Then I am gonna send a clear message to him...!" furiously raising her staff.

Her hatred for those animals, believing in the worst in them. The creature slowly backing up, looking around his location. Fire soon extending from the young woman's staff, charging at the animal.

The iguana quickly running, avoiding the many flames. Chasing it around, more coming out from the bushes, witnessing the sight. Atlalune's hand behind her head, sighing in dismay. Someone unleashing her fury, her displaying anger.

The researcher eventually standing still, heavily breathing. The weight of two hanging on her shoulders, her pale expression. Her weakening knees, collapsing on the ground, the surrounding iguanas tilting their heads at her.

Shortly conversing with the other from a distance, pointing in the mage's direction. That guard's eyes on them, trying to process the situation.

"Maybe...she has a slight point on the conspiracy thing?" Atlalune scratching the back of her head.

These simple emotions, a princess once doing the same. Continuously trying to calm her, that companion never letting up. Voicing her fury, not approving of the creatures.

Iguanas living there, making their lives part of the kingdom. Providing some benefits at times, that former knight pointing it out, her friend's firm stance. The maiden thinking back, a pleasant event to her mind.

Pure emotions from old, two once relishing in the presence of the other. Their lives in a castle, a princess trusting in a knight. That person taking her everywhere, their hearts embracing in the bliss around them.

Finding themselves out in a grassy field this day, the warm sun on them. Estelle in a dark top, a red dress wrapping below. Her great anger, chasing around iguanas. Spreading fire to the land, the animals hiding behind Atlalune, fearfully pointing at the princess.

"Atlalune...move aside, these creatures need to be punished." Her cold eyes.

"C--calm down, they were just playing with you." Uneasily smiling, defensively raising her hands.

"They were planning cruel acts." Folding her arms, tapping her foot against the ground.

"I mean look, they are heading on their way." The maiden gesturing to the fleeing animals.

Estelle's vision to them, her quickly beating chest. Trying to settle herself, lowering her staff. Two more iguanas shortly hanging from her shoulders, feeling their weight.

Her pale expression, immediately passing out, collapsing on the land. That knight's hand at the side of her head, sighing in disbelief. This person before her, someone with the strangest quirks.

Someone else with eyes bright like the sun, her similar actions to another. These warm sentiments, not experiencing it for a long time. Shaking her head in disbelief, faintly smiling.

Approaching the noble-woman, kneeling to her, soon carrying the person on her back. Shortly heading onward, the former knight's mind on the past. Some time going by, the researcher awakening. Her steadily opening eyes, raising herself a bit.

"About time you woke up." Atlalune glancing back to her.

A pure individual exerting herself, eventually passing out from the shock. Her shining presence, a mage loving her kingdom. Despising iguanas, voicing her suspicions on them.

Finding herself in this situation, her guard carrying her. Feeling the gentle breeze against her, lowering herself. Wrapping her arms around the maiden, her pleasant smile.

This story has been taken without authorization. Report any sightings.

"Heh, well...I am tired, back to my nap." Resting her head on Atlalune's shoulder.

"H--hey! Do I look like a taxi to you?!" the mercenary rebelling.

Quickly returning to her slumber, resting from her journey. The sighing former knight, shaking her head from left to right. Glancing to the noble-woman, someone reflecting another.

Slightly looking away, this job to her. Rising to her challenges, her willingness to strike down gods. One enemy in her mind, her reason for coming this far. These smaller moments to her, not living it for a while.

Some time going by, the two arriving at the ruin around mid-afternoon. The mage looking at the old structures, ancient markings on them. Excitement in her, embracing in this experience.

"These are one of the points the Iconoclast damaged. Even now, her power can be felt." Sol's hand to her chest.

"Is that so? Heard her power leveled worlds in an instant." The former knight's vision on her surroundings.

"It did, but there is a deep sadness in it. So much knowledge has been muddied, but I do believe she had a simple motive for her path." The noble-woman's index finger to her chin.

"And that is?" Atalune facing her, her hand on her waist.

"I am not entirely sure, but from my findings so far. It was likely to reclaim something that was lost, but in the process, she did create infinite possibilities. This malice I feel, there is a gentle warmth in it..." The young woman turning to the maiden, her hands behind her back.

A pure individual seeking knowledge from the past, steadily breaking it down. Slowly clearing it over time, concluding some things. These simple sentiments, an entity yearning for what is within.

Clashing against countless, shouting her soul. Her gripping malice, shrouding many in her warmth. That researcher continuing, her bright smile. Backing away, bumping into someone. Shockingly looking behind, a larger man in red armor.

"L--Lune..." Her nervous voice.

The maiden walking forward a bit, someone from her past. Expecting it, these shaky points. Those rebelling against the Kingdom of Valice, their reason for it. Her path towards gaining an answer, wanting to see her hatred through to an end.

That person tapping the researcher's shoulder, gesturing his head over to the other side. Taking her opportunity, quickly running to her guard. Hiding behind the mercenary, her hands to her chest.

"There is no point in hiding yourself Atlalune, I can feel Phoenix from you." His hands behind his head.

"Been a while, Gen." Gripping her mask, removing it, her crimson eyes on him.

A person with his priorities, seeing his path through his own way. Awaiting the maiden's coming, her talents from the past. Crushing her enemies, enduring pain on her body.

Rising stronger than before, a concerning individual. His reason for his direction, his soul sounding in an endless stream. These two meeting underneath the sun, feeling the breeze against them.

"I find it hard to believe Valice would take you back." Folding his arms.

"Just a job, I do not serve that kingdom." Placing her mask inside her bag.

"I know you like money, but isn't that low to sell your soul this much?" shrugging at her.

"I have my reason for going this far. Even I know this would be very stupid without some sort of benefit in the end." Her hand on her waist.

A way to track a dark dragon, her mind still on that dreadful night. A precious person dying in her arms, so many surrounding her. Fighting her way through, escaping into the dusk.

Her heart yearning to find the monster, seeking after it for a long time. Her willingness to dive back into the past, hoping to grasp the light at the end of the darkness. That man's hand behind his head, a sigh leaving him.

"Come work for us Atlalune. Whatever you are looking for, I am certain we can get it. It is best not to get involved with Valice." His serious eyes.

"I agree, but this is too valuable of an opportunity to pass up for me. For now, I have to play the loyal mercenary for a while." Her vision to her side.

"Then I apologize, but you pose a risk to us." Gesturing his hand to her.

"Gen, I will not allow you to stop my path. I will see it through to its end..." Swinging out her arm.

"Estelle huh. Even if it is her, your actions will damn even us." His stern expression on her.

Her purpose for this length, refusing their aid. Grasping at her one hope, trusting in the noble-woman. Those bright eyes of the sun, someone coming into her life, shining light onto her path. Needing to believe in her, her talents in this area.

Going years without a solid direction, not letting this opportunity go. Two meeting in this field, their will to oppose the other. From above, the Iconoclast between dimensions. Her long blonde hair, those eyes of the crimson moon.

Her gold armor, her noble red cape on the lower half of her back, a velvet ribbon tying at the end of her hair. Watching this development, her careful gaze. Atlalune reaching into her bag, gripping five knives between her fingers.

Standing on her side, tracking enemies coming out from the corners. Linking her path, leaping high, rapidly throwing those weapons. Piercing their skulls, those many falling bodies. Shortly landing below, that man expecting nothing less.

"You were great, but don't you think. The only way to have best you, was someone who knew you well enough?" folding his arms.

"Are you saying, Lune's downfall was planned?" Sol uneasily holding her hands to her chest.

"Is that true?" Atlalune positioning her arms in a thinking posture.

"It is very difficult to bring down a skilled knight, especially one that high up. I just find it convenient that the princess dies, and one of their best is off the board as well." His eyes to his side.

Her high standing, someone close to the princess. Working hard, making a name for herself. Performing her jobs, bringing glory to the Royal Order. Everything falling apart on a mission, the maiden rushing back.

A devastating sight on her arrival, that fire still in her mind. Estelle dying in her arms, those branding her a traitor. Biting her lower lip, this frustrating knowledge.

"Are you saying this happened from within?" the former knight stepping forward.

"Call it my speculation. Atlalune, if you join us, I can tell you who I suspect are involved." His hands behind his back.

"As much as I would like to, something is leading me to trust in Sol here. Until then, I will beat the answers out of you." Her hand on her waist.

"If you are so intent to die, then I can help you along there." Gen extending an earth crystal forward.

Her purpose for continuing, trusting in one. That individual reflecting another, these sentiments to her heart. Wandering through darkness, a bright sun coming in, shining light onto her path. Cautiously stepping back, her defensive stance.

The reacting brown crystal, the heavily shaking land. The splitting surroundings, that noble-woman uneasily looking around. Giant emerging hands, a humanoid stone deity pulling itself above. Shortly standing tall, this enormous entity to the sky.

"Your devotion will be your end Atlalune, but let it not be today. You know as well as I do, that god always changes locations." Gen's pitiable eyes on her.

"I am aware, and I have waited a long time for this chance. I will make you tell me your suspicions, and Sol will identify where it currently is." Her sharp vision on him.
