Elec soon standing before the floating gem, raising his hand to it. The man taking hold of it, soon facing his companion.
"Valor, I am really glad we got to speak again. Though, you should go back to your home now, to your family." Sadly looking away.
"Elec, you know I won't leave you in this mess, not again." The god stepping forward.
"I know, but I haven't been telling you the full truth." Biting his lower lip.
"Full truth? What do you mean?" the god's unrest.
"This realm can be saved with this gem, but...--"
"--In return for not blowing it up, Elec has to bring me the Destruction Gem." A voice echoing in the place.
That chilling voice in the area, their great force on the ruin. The deity looking to Elec's side, seeing a black vortex. Xea shortly stepping out of it, the Tyrant folding his arms. An old friend working with the enemy, putting forward his best effort for a better tomorrow.
"I did the best I could, but in the end, there is a limit to what I can do. So, I took up Xea's offer to save my home." Looking to his friend.
"You endured a lot Elec. I do not fault you in your decision, but can you really live under his tyranny? What about your dream? Can it really be achieved this way?" Valor's grim eyes on his companion.
"No, it cannot, but I gave that up a long time ago. Even if I have to suffer, at least this world has a chance to proceed." His fist to his chest.
"I was being quite generous too, I don't give a damn about this world. So, I can at least offer that much. As for you Valor, consider yourself lucky to still be alive. It is my gift to you, since you helped with retrieving the Destruction Gem." Xea smiling, gesturing his arm to the god.
"Hah! You can shove it, I don't plan to let you leave here with the gem." Extending his katana afar.
"Valor! Don't do it! This is suicide!" Elec's urgent voice.
"Oh? Now I am curious what the once supreme god is capable of." Xea folding his arms.
A promise in the deity's mind, two shaking hands underneath the setting sun. His wish to see their goal through to its conclusion, not allowing for his companion to drift away into the endless abyss.
Descending once again into the harsh plane, the god running along his black route, racing after his friend. Rushing at the Tyrant, swiftly striking at them, freezing the area in his fury. Shortly slicing through, sheathing his blade. The shattering ice, Xea calmly remaining on his feet.
"Is that all you can do? I am disappointed." Glancing back at the god.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
"Why doesn't it affect him...?" Valor uneasily facing the Tyrant.
"You've grown weaker and weaker over the years Valor, or maybe others have become stronger." Xea turning to him.
"He is right either way. As the years have gone by, my strength does not match up to the rising threats. I have tried time and time and again, but maybe this is my limit. No! It can't be!" the deity's frustration.
An entity struggling to grow, witnessing one rising threat after the next. Unable to meet their challenge, falling further into the terrible darkness. His wife constantly ascending, feverishly clashing against her foes. His great desire to step up, to be her shield against her enemies.
"It is a shame, but aside from the Iconoclast and myself. Everyone has their limit, and you will realize this now." Xea rushing at him.
The entity's darkly burning arm, crashing his fist into the god's stomach. Knocking the wind out of Valor, this crushing blow to him. Stepping back a bit, the assault shaking his body. The god withstanding the shock, quickly moving his feet, dashing in from the side.
Colliding his blade into the Tyrant's fist, a great exertion rapidly flowing out. Blasting the deity afar, trapping them in a vortex. Xea immediately facing him, expanding his arms.
"Be consumed in everlasting damnation, and witness a world without light!" closing in his arms.
Everything slipping away from the deity, watching his friend walk further into the abyss. The god's sounding voice, screaming out to the man. The violently swarming shadows, crushing Valor within their might.
The harshly exploding attack, rubble falling from above. The clearing smoke, Valor standing from afar, half of his armor on the top missing. His body hanging low, blood streaming from him.
"Call me surprised you survived that one." Xea smiling a bit.
"Not...not yet..." Valor heavily breathing.
"If you want to die so bad, then allow me to help." The Tyrant coldly raising his hand above.
"Wait! You got the Destruction Gem! That's all you need, he is no threat to you!" Elec running in front of the Tyrant.
"Since I am in a particularly good mood, I guess I can be a bit more generous. You will come with me though." Xea turning, his hands behind his back, a black portal forming in front of him.
"Valor, please go back to your home. You did enough, do not follow us to the castle in the sky..." Sadly gripping his upper arm.
"E--Elec...!" the deity flinching in pain.
Weakly looking on, watching his friend follow the Tyrant into the portal. The soon closing rift, this quiet area around him. The god's hastily beating chest, his quickly blurring vision. Desperately trying to hold on, keeping his mind on their bond.
A small moment long ago, two out in a grassy field, looking up into the beautiful night sky. Close friends tackling their challenges, aiming for their wish within. Not allowing anyone to silence their path, both believing in the chance for a brighter tomorrow.
"Hey man, what are the other worlds like?" Elec propping his arms behind his head.
"They are all different, some lively, some not so. Others can be war torn, but there are those that are peaceful as well. I've seen it all I guess." Valor's slight smile.
"I'd love for this world to become a peaceful one, and I intend to do so one day." The man grinning a bit.
"You're not alone, we'll both see this world towards that conclusion." The god raising his fist above.
"Got that right, and maybe we can start a business together." Elec smiling, hitting his fist against his friend's own.
"Yeah, I'd like that." The deity's bright smile at him.
Two friends pushing onward long ago, their paths separating in the darkness. These eternally branding memories, those powerful sentiments flowing through Valor. The god falling to his knees, soon collapsing face down on the ground.
Elec...I can only imagine what you had to do to save your world. Though, I know you still wish to keep that promise. I as well, want to believe it is possible, and to run a business with you...
