Chapter 9: Bondage of the Soul(Part 2)

--Present Time--

Horrors underneath the dusk, powerful emotions leading the way forward. Pieces on the board in this war, one walking down her dark road, reaching for the slim light. A night leading her back to her past, steadily awakening a great power from the shadows.

An entity chaining in endless tragedies, someone refusing to back down, rising to her challenges. Her clawing desires, these eternally branding sentiments. A forest going on, the two finding themselves further within it. A maze of trees, this trap for invaders.

The maiden looking up into the crimson moon, its beautiful light cursing those within its path, an object signaling one's presence. The chilling breeze, cold red eyes trailing two from the darkness. The vampire yawning, stretching his arms above.

"Next time, I am takin' a nap far away from this damn problem." Slowly looking around.

"If you are going to complain, then you may leave. I have no intention in making you fight." Calmly gripping her arms.

"Oh, I can't fight anyway, sorry. I'm just here as a guide." Propping his arms behind his head.

"A demon that cannot fight? Why is that?" glancing back to him.

His words catching her attention, one unable to fight. Devils living on the battlefield, their bodies enduring its harsh actualities. A strange one with her, his light nature. Mysteries in the night, questions on her mind. An entity slowly moving towards her past, displaying her feverish heart.

"Well, I lost most of my power clashing with that beast Hades. I won't be of any use battle-wise, that you will have to forgive me of." His vision a bit away.

"Very well." Shifting her gaze ahead.

Noting his words, her slightly more serious vision. One clashing against Hades, someone coming out alive. His messages in the shadows, giving some information, withholding others.

Shortly putting it aside for now, her attention on movements from behind, a wolf and orc trailing them. The maiden's breaking body, taking to her spiritual state. Riding along the waves in the area, rushing behind the hound.

Her blade lunging forward, severing its head. Spilling blood along the land, her lifelessly falling enemy. Facing her other target, witnessing it charging at her. Her quick movements, leaping into the air.

A case of literary theft: this tale is not rightfully on Amazon; if you see it, report the violation.

Diving at her opponent, plunging her staff into its head. Pinning it into the land, releasing electricity. Powerfully shocking the fiend, hearing its screams in the dusk. Shortly removing her weapon, soon putting it away.

"You got a lotta issues huh." The vampire whistling, raising his eyebrows a bit.

"That is putting it quite lightly, I will ensure my opponents are no more." Cyra calmly turning.

"Well, as long as you realize it I guess." The shrugging demon, looking at her in disbelief.

This grim night, an innocent one within its insanity. The vampire walking to her side, pointing to the corpses. Her humorless vision on him, shaking her head from left to right. The maiden shortly stopping him, shifting her attention to her surroundings.

Stepping forward a bit, another enemy tracking them. Howling from a fiend, their thick malice. Hearing the loudly rustling leaves, a cold chill running down her spine. These violent sentiments grabbing at her, the enemy's intensifying pressure. The vampire glancing to his right, spotting fast movements from the bushes.

This relentless night, enemies around every corner. The maiden following the sounds, trailing it to the highest tree. Her eyes on a beast, that foe descending from afar. A man and wolf, their head reflecting a hound. The monster standing on two legs, their silver fur glistening underneath the twilight.

"What have they done to you...?" her sad voice.

"Argh...! I...I must find..." The struggling fiend, holding his head in agony.

Excruciating pain on him, shortly howling into the night. His eyes soon on the young woman, bloodlust in his gaze. These swirling sentiments in him, the maiden closing her vision. Feeling his emotions, someone searching for an important one.

A person betting on an entity's possibility, finding his way to her. This slight hope with him, losing himself to his transformation. Cyra opening her eyes, gently looking at him.

"I feel this...who are you searching for?" directing her staff at him.

A person roaming the night, his desperate desire. Combatting many, slaying his own amongst the chaos. An individual unable to communicate his wish, losing himself to the madness. Eventually coming upon the maiden, regaining a shred of his sanity. Someone in the deepest darkness, believing in her chance.

These endlessly clashing emotions, the beast glaring at her. The vampire turning away, slightly glancing back. A form reflecting to the outside, their greed on display. A person wanting power, yearning to separate himself from another, desiring to grasp everything himself.

"What will you do, Cyra...?" the demon distantly looking away.

Those sentiments to the young woman, countless crushing her. One wishing for the nigh impossible, venturing into the insanity. His mind on one, their encounter with an entity from the heavens.

The hound charging at her, his hasty speed. Cyra releasing her physical form, narrowly avoiding his strike. Riding along the waves, her target giving chase. Quickly rerouting herself, diving to her opponent.

Rushing behind him, taking form once more. Instantly lunging at his head, the fiend immediately grabbing her arm. His surprising reflex, hearing his loud howl. The beast raising her above, smashing her everywhere into the ground, breaking apart the surroundings.

"Ugh!"

"Just so you know! I am not tagging in! You might wanna work out your issues!" the vampire clarifying to Cyra.

"I swear those two are related..." Annoyance from her eyes.
