Chapter 2: Innocent Death(Part 2)

Ava folding her arms, her cold stare at the person. A blurry one in her mind, a certain voice echoing in her mind. A chill running down the girl's spine, soon lowering her hand. Her shifting state, brightly smiling at the maiden.

A strange person before Ava, the maiden keeping cautious of them. Students continuing with their day, heading to their classes. That settling situation, the slowly emptying hallway.

"I'm Dabria, I noticed you are not from around here. Figured you might be a new student, so I came to offer some help with whatever you need." Her hands to her chest.

"Nah, there is no way I know her. She is probably mental..." Disbelief from the maiden.

No matter, I cannot deny she feels familiar to me somehow...

"I am not a student here, I just came to look into some information at the library." Ava's lightening expression.

A heart proceeding in the shadows, keeping her mind on her goal. Her encounter with a weird girl, a pure innocence in them.

Her words catching the student's interest more, a person in the school searching for information. The maiden keeping a strong stance, memories driving her way. Not trusting others, thinking the worst in them.

Choosing to survive on her own, this strange occurrence to her. The young woman's unfriendly demeanor not pushing away the hazel one, that stubborn girl.

"In a case like that, let me help out, it will go faster with us both. This is my free period, so it is all good. Ssooo, what is your name?" brightly pressing her index finger against her cheek.

"Ava. I guess...that is okay..." Unease from the maiden.

Two sides in a strange town, a difference in the day and night. Horrors after the setting sun, the young woman's scarring experience.

Unable to rationalize it, her growing desire to find her younger brother. A promise from the past with her, her quivering heart. Her doubtful feelings, wanting to explore every option.

The two shortly entering into the library, their eyes on the books stacking high on the shelves. A desk with a woman at the front, some students on the computers.

"Gather anything on the history of Inai." Ava instructing.

"Sure!"

A weird request, Dabria thinking on the relevance. That mysterious person with her, an individual catching her interest more. A colder exterior from the maiden, yet acceptance at the same time.

Both searching the library, soon retrieving some books. The two sitting down at a table, four massive stacks before them. Ava picking up a book, seeking out a date.

Unable to find one, her increasing suspicion. Opening it, searching for anything of worth. That girl at her side, the innocent one wondering on the young woman next to her.

"Where do you go to school?" brightly pressing her fingers together.

"I am self taught, I did not have the luxury of such a setting." Ava turning the page.

"Huh? Can you tell me more?" this surprising the girl, looking to the maiden.

Those leading a different life, experiencing another reality. A cruel existence branding on the young woman, events never leaving her. An individual living in a black world, enduring a harsh actuality.

A person losing everything, her moving feet in the shadows. Evading horrible shadowy hands, paving her way forward. A girl's curious questions, someone wishing to know more.

"I apologize, I have a lot of work to do, I cannot answer those questions at the moment." Turning the page.

"Oh...okay..." Sadness from the girl.

Her sharp tone, getting across her point. A person working on their own, her constantly haunting nightmares. Her actions leading to temporary imprisonment, those strong sentiments to protect one to her heart.

A boy going missing a few months back, her increasing fear. Breaking out of her confinement, diving into the black abyss. Seeking after him, screaming out her soul.

The maiden eventually meeting a bright person, some guilt coming over her in this moment. Ava thinking for a bit, slowly inhaling and exhaling, slightly looking away from the girl.

"I will probably have time to answer later." Ava glancing to the student.

"Oh? Is that so? Then do you want to go into town later today?" Dabria pleasantly holding her hands to her chest.

Normally I wouldn't care how cold I am, but something made me back down. Ever since I entered this weird town, unusual things have been happening...

An individual entering into Inai, a place revealing its true colors after the setting sun. A sister's determination to push onward, enduring the weird reality. Holding one close to her heart, driving onward with a powerful resolve.

Taking on responsibility for her younger brother, fearing the worst. Trying to keep a steady mind, staying cautious of the girl next to her. Turning the page, Ava trailing along the words.

"I suppose I have the time." The maiden's calm voice.

"Alright, I am holding you to it!" joy from Dabria.

I did not sign up for any of this, but I guess it might be a good opportunity to find out more about this place...

A pure one in a horrific town, someone wishing to embrace in the blissful day. The young woman's own purpose, her mind on any possibility. Monsters roaming the dusk, a terror waiting for her.

The two searching for information, that girl identifying some points now and then. The maiden leaning over, noting some of it. Time going by, Dabria eventually heading to her class. Ava continuing on her own, the many hours passing by.

Her increasing frustration with the lack of progress, a sigh soon leaving her. Standing up, putting back the books on the shelves. Shortly finding herself outside, waiting by the gate. Dabria running out, soon stopping before the maiden.

"Oh good, glad you waited. I was thinking we could head to the plaza down town." The girl's shining smile.

"A plaza means people, maybe one of them might know something..." Ava seriously thinking.

"Very well, let us go." The young woman calmly answering.

"You'll really like it there!" Dabria excitingly motioning from left to right, her hands to her chest.

Pieces on the board, one seeking after solutions in the shadows. A girl leading the way, setting a slim light on her path. The two heading onward, Ava listening to the person, giving short answers now and then.

Someone not sharing much on herself, keeping her life to herself. Frustration in the student, an individual wanting to know more about the young woman, her wandering mind on the mysteries surrounding her new friend.

The two finding their way deeper into the town, eventually arriving at the plaza, a point connecting on four ends. A fountain at the center, water flowing down to the base. That sparkling light underneath the sun, many loudly speaking.

"I figured if you need some answers, here might be a good spot." Dabria smiling at Ava, her hands behind her back.

"I see..."

There is something about her that I can't put my finger on, for sure she is sharper than she lets on.
