Four Generals
Four fearsome generals serve under Hades, their power nearly bringing him victory a thousand years ago. A certain entity entering the field, turning the tides of the war.
In the past, there have been an original four. However, the first Ragnarök claiming those ones. No matter, these generals all share certain traits.
Wrath
Great rage inside of this one, yet expressing it in different ways. An immortal fiend, but more of a laid back one. Due to his eternal body, this Accursed becomes quite arrogant.
Lust
A demon obsessed with battle, expressing his love for it. Lust has a sadistic personality, and gets his thrills from not only killing, but making others suffer. Using his whip, he commands monsters,
Greed
Greed has the most strength out of the Four Generals. A beast having a habit to keep everything it finds, no matter what it is.
Envy
Little information exists on Envy, a knight holding a dark past. He is a more compassionate one, unlike the other three. Years ago, a certain occurrence caused him to give into Hades tempting words, his great desire leading him forward.
Darkness consuming him, a man unable to fight against it. His memories in shackles, a certain force keeping it in chains. Others having the same problem, none knowing the one responsible for concealing events from the past.
Bonus Scene From a Female Knight:
Hope in the Horror
Terror in the dusk, hope steadily fading by the moment. My slow footsteps in this nightmare, making my usual rounds in a steadily falling kingdom. Shortly moving aside the statue of our late king, using a key to unlock the door below.
Walking down the long dark route, lighting the way with my torch. Tightly clutching my bowgun, soon arriving at the treasury. Mountains of gold, but amongst it, a large monstrous beast.
“Wh—what in the hell is that thing…?” I slowly move back.
That towering monster, its salivating mouth. Hearing its loud ringing roar, my weak feet. This never ending night, wishing to scream out, yet none will hear. The beast lunging at me, shaking the area beneath its might. Hastily throwing my torch ahead, the monster hitting it away.
My quickly beating chest, quickly swallowing my unrest. Lowering my stance, my dagger close to my face. Shortly bursting through, immediately slicing through it. Turning from afar, rapidly firing my bowgun. The arrows deflecting off its skin, my wide eyes at it.
The tale has been illicitly lifted; should you spot it on Amazon, report the violation.
"Have the gods truly abandoned us...?" my low tone.
Our steadily falling forces, few remaining to tackle the problem. These frustrating feelings in me, yearning to do more. This creature instantly in front of me, its massive arm coming down at me. Quickly leaping away from it, narrowly avoiding the hit. Its great force vibrating the area, some objects falling around it.
"Even if it is a tiny chance, I have to bet on it. Otherwise, we have truly lost." My sharp vision on it.
Carrying these sentiments in me, these heavily swirling feelings. My moving feet, racing to my target. Its fist coming down at me again, locking onto my opportunity.
Jumping in the last moment, evading the attack. Scaling up its arm, instantly striking through its head. Touching down from afar, shooting arrows at it once more.
The monster breaking through them, grabbing me with its mighty hand, slamming me into the wall. Great agony on me, those menacing eyes in my direction. Raising my bowgun to it, aiming at its face. The creature gripping it, throwing it aside.
"Hah...I knew it was pointless. If those gods...really did abandon us, then keep your damn Valkyries. At least...I know I died a proper death..." My weak smile.
Its crushing pressure on me, blood streaming down my body. That great fiend before me, my mind on an old legend. An enemy to us all, yet something more within it. A grand entity able to bring forward miracles, I truly hope there is one.
"If you are out there...Iconoclast. I truly do hope, you are someone who brings forward miracles. Since, we can truly use one now..."
My slowly fading light, falling into the darkness. Descending further into the depths, floating in the abyss. Crimson eyes looking at me, soon facing away. Deep sadness I feel from them, yet this hope filling me.
"Are you, the Iconoclast?" my voice to them.
"Some call me that, why do you ask?"
"I heard and read many tales about the countless sins you've committed, but also how you can bring forward miracles. Which is true?" my unrest, gripping my arms.
"That is for you to decide, I am merely a selfish being that has a simple wish." Her red eyes to me.
"I...I want to believe in your miracles. So, can you bring the daylight back to us? Even though I am now dead, this much is enough.” Biting my lower lip.
"What about the gods? Should you not ask them for their protection?"
It is strange, standing in this whirlpool of malice. That great being's warmth wrapping around me, filling my heart with bliss. Legends speaking about her, a truly sinister monster crushing the worlds. My eyes on her, feeling something else from them.
"I don't even think the gods want to help us. We have no one else to turn to, we tried our best. Please, will you at least consider it?" my desperate voice.
"And yet another one that thinks I can do anything, I am just a single being that can't even keep themself together..." Her sad tone.
Her massive sorrow, these increasing waves. Feeling her immense pressure in the area, an indescribable amount of despair crushing the abyss. My mind on the legends, wondering about its falsity and truths.
"I found one strange thing in the legends, something far hidden away. A message from you, 'there is light in the deepest of darkness'. I was not sure if it was true or not, but it made me want to become a knight even more. I don't know what you've been through, but maybe it is this feeling you give off that makes me think you can do anything." My soft smile, resting my hand on my chest.
"I can make no promises, and I am not sure when I will be ready to take to the surface again. Knowing this, will you wait and still keep this faith?" her solemn voice.
"Yes, I will."
Two of us in this endless stream, the Iconoclast soon heading on her way. An entity containing their sadness, these many emotions piercing into me.
Feeling the depths of her strength, hope filling my heart. I will believe that she will be the one to lift the darkness from this world, someone that is able to turn the tiniest chance into a reality.
"You saved my soul from being devoured by that beast. I may have lost my life, but at least I still exist. Thank you."
