Christmas Special: Sun and Moon(Character Profile)

Atlalune Reizewind

Title: Knight

Atlalune is a knight to her partner Sol, someone boasting the most ferocious tactics. She usually spends her days helping her wife with their research, while also running jobs on the side for extra money.

Above all else though, Sol's safety is of most importance to her. Given the state of Valice, she has already begun making plans to leave for a better place, despite the nearing threat of a civil war breaking out.

Sol et Lunam

Title: Witch of Heavenly Fate

After many years, Sol overcame her weakness in magic and is able to command all elements. Her rapid growth with it, and skillful manipulation quickly got her attention.

The noble-woman would learn her tactics from her wife, and so gained her title from both enemies and allies alike.

Despite this and her quirks, Sol is really gentle hearted and a pure soul. What she wishes for is to start a family, and take things a step further with her partner.

Ava/Desdemona Lux

Title: Goddess

A deity slowly regaining her memories, revealing an even more sinister darkness. In her transformed state, her personality becomes much more sadistic now, and she will share her thoughts unfiltered.

Long ago, due to the horrors she experienced. She embraced the malefic ways to save her younger brother, and to give him a better life.

Unfortunately, it twisted her personality. Desdemona can be very determined, but also warm to those close to her.

In her normal state, Ava is more wary, and pays mind to her actions. Maybe even a bit cold, but also shy when called out on her actions.

Needless to say, no matter which form she takes. Desdemona cherishes those to her heart, and is protective of Dabria.

Get on her wrong side, and she can make her enemies lives a living hell.

Bonus Scene From Sol:

Fateful Link

The afternoon sun shining down on snowy field in the woods, my partner and I making our way through it.

Our thick clothes helping to keep us warm, our eyes on the small plants in the area. These simply proceeding days, two of us relishing in the everlasting bliss.

"Why'd you want to come here?" Atlalune holding my hand.

"No reason, it kind of reminds me of when we first met. Although, the situation is much different." My bright smile to her.

"Ah right. Sadly, I cannot rile you up with iguanas anymore." The knight sighing in disappointment.

"Hah! Good!" my proud grin.

I happily live everyday of my life, despite the troubles in Valice. No matter the challenges ahead, we will both always face it together.

I still think on the past, about my knight coming to my aid, and freeing me from my family. My heart still blissfully beating with the memories, a moment truly changing my life forever.

"Hey Sol, I don't know what to do about Valice. I am sorry to say, but the three of us might not be able to prevent a war here." The ex-mercenary lowering her head.

"The thought crossed my mind as well, the people are on their last legs. The two of us cannot meet all their demands." My sad vision away.

Seeing my home descend into madness, my wife and I experiencing many blissful years within it. The current Royal Family's actions creating an unbearable strain, directing the people's fury at them.

My wish for a small bit of hope, for a tiny light to spread again. Atlalune and I shortly stopping, seeing a small girl with long hazel hair lying in a pile of leaves in the snow. A surprising situation, both of us quickly running up to the child.

"Hey! What happened?!" I kneel to them, lifting them in my arms.

A girl no more the age of five, a white dress on her. Someone with little life in them, their weak vision on the two of us.

"Damn! We need immediate care! I'll call up Cyra!" Atlalune quickly taking out her phone.

Racing through the woods, my arms shielding the little one in my coat, trying to keep the cold out. Eventually arriving at our home, pushing open the door.

Cyra standing there, quickly urging us inside. Shortly setting the girl down on a bed, a machine soon linking to their arm.

My concerning vision on them, watching my friend quickly and carefully applying her techniques. The passing hours, Atlalune and I waiting outside the room, my increasing worry.

"Don't worry, Cyra will definitely be able to save her." My partner wrapping their arms around me.

"But...what if it is too late? She looks to have been there for a while, who would do this to her?" Gripping my arms, sadly looking below.

"Can't say, but this is Cyra. If there is anyone who can bring forward a miracle, it is her." The knight's gentle voice on me.

My unrestful heart, feeling every second going by, wishing for the news to come. Shortly hearing the opening door, Cyra exiting the rook. Watching her walk up to us, my building unease, holding my hands to my chest.

"Not to worry, her condition improved long enough for me to give her one of my special liquid medicine. She will make a full recovery." The Iconoclast's reassuring smile to me.

The narrative has been illicitly obtained; should you discover it on Amazon, report the violation.

"Oh thank goodness. If you hadn't come, she might have died." My gratefulness to the demon.

"Of course. It makes me think though, why she was out there..." Cyra folding her arms, glancing back to the room.

"I heard something about parents doing this, due to the unbearable expenses. It is hard in Valice right now, been so for a while. Either way, we'll have to wait and ask her to know for sure." Atlalune gripping her arms.

"I am hoping it isn't something like that..." My uncertainty, resting my hand on my chest.

The three of us in the hallway, statues lining on each end. The pictures on the walls detailing our adventures, these precious friends all giving a bit to us.

Some time going by, our movements to the room, soon entering into it. My eyes on the girl sitting up on the bed, her confusion at the area.

"I am so happy you're awake." I walk up to her.

Atlalune and Cyra remaining behind, their eyes on me confronting the girl. Those pure yellow eyes on me, shining purely like the sun.

"I am Sol, might I ask your name?" my soft voice to her.

"Stella. Where am I...?" her hand to her chest in unease.

"You are at my home, we found you in the woods. Can you tell me what happened?" sitting down at the side of the bed.

My words ringing through her, seeing the visible tears in her eyes. Shortly hearing her cry out, her painful wails stabbing at my heart. Moving a bit closer to her, taking her into my embrace, my soothing voice on her.

"It is okay...you are safe now..." My grim expression.

"Mommy...daddy...left me...!" her heavy breathing.

"I...I thought as much..." Atlalune's sadly looking away.

"What will you two do now?" Cyra's hand on her waist.

"Atlalune and I will take her in." My eyes to the devil.

Two of us venturing out for the day, walking through the snowy woods. A fateful encounter linking us to another, this tiny one in my arms. I am not certain where the future will lead, but I do know that I will keep her safe.

Bonus Scene from Atlalune:

The Descending Star

A few days passed since Stella began living with us. We took a bit of time to go through the legal process to officially have her under our care. Needless to say though, the child has been having a bit of a hard time adjusting.

A day leading us to another, our encounter with the small one setting a new direction in our lives. The three of us at home in the living room, the sun shining in from the blinds. Stella timidly standing behind Sol, grabbing at their black dress wrapping below.

"Lune, you have to stop being so stiff. Stella doesn't know how to approach you." The sighing mage, her hand on her cheek.

"Sorry, it was a sudden change. I'm doing my best here." I sit down on the brown couch behind me, adjusting my long red shirt.

My wandering mind on the past, shifting my gaze to the ruby table ahead. The many passing years, building more into my life.

A noble-woman making it possible, both of us proceeding onward towards the endless future. Shortly moving my vision to the girl, seeing her peeking out at me from behind my wife.

"You just need to spend time with her, get to know her a bit you know." Sol's hand on her waist, smiling at me.

"Yeah, you're right. Stella, what do you like to do?" my finger to my chin.

"U--um..." The kid quickly hiding completely behind the mage.

"It is okay. Whatever it is, we'll all play with you." Sol warmly grinning at the small one.

"Puzzles..." Stella's uneasy tone.

Every passing day filling my world with a gentle warmth, these blissful sentiments constantly flowing in the eternal stream.

Feeling the calm moving waves, flowing along in its pulling force. My wish to see a new tomorrow, doing my best to meet my partner's steps.

"We don't have any of that around the house, but give me a moment. I'll go purchase a digital one, and we can have fun with it." Sol gripping her arms, her pleasant smile.

A person beaming with life, her joyful energy the past few days. An individual accepting the sudden weight in her hands, happily proceeding in her path.

"Stella, why don't you spend some time with Lune in the meantime? I'm sure you two will get along." The mage's soft voice, glancing back to the child.

"O--okay..." The kid nervously stepping away from the noble-woman.

Sol would soon head off, leaving us two with the other. It was a different experience alright, neither of us not having a clue on what to say. After a few minutes, the quiet place began to feel too awkward, so I spoke up.

"Hey, I was in a similar situation to you when I was your age." My finger scratching my cheek.

"Huh...? You...were...?" Stella tilting her head at me.

"Yeah, want to sit down? I'll tell you about it." Patting the space next to me.

I see her nervousness, her eyes glancing to the spot and back to me. A new world to her, someone in a strange place.

My heavy heart thinking on the past, wanting to do more for her. The little one soon slowly moving, shortly sitting next to me. Stella adjusting her dress, resting her hands on her lap, her curious yellow eyes on me.

"I grew up far below in Valice, a place people refer to as the slums. I was left to die there, with no one to rely on but myself. Those like me were scorned, and were no more than things to throw out." My gentle vision to the girl.

"What happened to your mommy and daddy...?" her hands to her chest.

"As far as I know, I was there my whole time. I don't know. Some part of me think I was abandoned, another part hoped that something happened. At least that way, I can think I wasn't unwanted by them..." My hand behind my head, looking down a bit.

"You're like me..." The girl moving a bit closer to me.

"Yeah, we have a similar situation. That's why, we should look out for each other right? I have your back, and you have mine." Smiling at her.

"Alright...and, sorry about hiding..." Stella grinning at me, holding onto my arm.

"No worries, I understand. Stella, I want you to know this. You are not alone, and it might be hard, but things will get better." My soft voice to her.

I spoke what is within me, bringing up my past to assure her. Those years flowing through me, my mind wandering on the possibilty.

Shortly pushing out the ill emotions, focusing my attention on the small one with me. Sol soon walking in with her laptop, an HDMI cable in her left hand.

"Oh? I am happy you two are finally comfortable with each other." The noble-woman's bright smile to us.

"Atlalune is nice." The girl's pure smile to the researcher.

"I am glad to hear. Now was that so hard, Lune?" Sol teasing me.

"Hah...you can be cruel you know." I slightly look away in some embarrassment.

"Well, you are not the only one allowed to tease." The mage giggling a bit.

Living each day, enjoying these smaller moments with her. Another coming into our world, a descending star linking the sun and moon with each other.

Sol shortly setting up her laptop, displaying the game on the large television on the wall. The noble-woman soon making her way to us with a controller, sitting down at Stella's side.

It is a strange experience, but one that I like. The three of us playing a simple game, the place loudly sounding with our voices. I am not sure where the future will lead, but certainly it is going in a direction both Sol and I appreciate.
