Ava/Desdemona Lux
Age: 20
Embracing in her current life, rewriting a world towards her vision. Her deep despair, everything slipping out of her hands, this reality for two.
A goddess hunting devils, making a living off of it. Her partner’s growing concern, eventually reconsidering her course. Cherishing the hazel one, wishing for her safety.
Little information exists on Desdemona, this deity reincarnating multiple times in search of her brother. A bit more than 50 years ago, a moment changing her course. Her meeting with
Dabria in Inai, that individual shining light into her black world, a pure individual. It is on a certain day that Ava leaves Inai for a bit, acting on a lead towards her brother. A mistake in this, returning to a ruinous town.
Desperately searching for Dabria, finding her below the church. Parting words from her companion, that entity on top of the statue, her deep frustration. A tear drop falling, giving a blessing onto the girl. Thus, another cycle of reincarnation, a promise to the lavender one.
Dabria
Age: 19
Enjoying her new life, difficulty at first. Inai in ruin, accepting the loss of so many. Steadily adjusting away from her home, moving towards the future.
Dabria is a persistent individual, wanting to advance her relationship with Ava. Those aiding her in it, yet an elusive entity. Her hazy memories, but some returning to the deity.
These feelings from old, a promise from a goddess. Two meeting in the church, differences between the them.
Dabria being a bright girl, strongly holding onto her belief. Some disapproving of her life style, such as her sexuality. Hostility at times, some conflicts escalating as a result.
That goddess secluding her presence, her sharp influence. Protecting that innocent girl, their growing bond.
On the day of the attack, Dabria heading over to the shopping district. Thinking of getting something for Desdemona, her friends along with her. Everything falling apart, fleeing to the church.
Finding her way at the bottom of the place, unable to escape, poison crushing her lungs. Upon her passing, her final words to another. Deep within, wanting to see Desdemona once more.

A nerve wrecking experience, doubt plaguing me, racing after Dabria. Hoping to reach in time, shaking at the possibility of losing her.
Those people overcoming my influence, this dangerous line of work. I have to get out of it, her safety riding on it.
A precious individual, her guiding gleam leading me onward. Not wanting to lose it, fearing the chance of her slipping away.
Two of us standing beneath the crimson light, the gentle cold breeze against us. Some bushes around us, this quiet evening. That girl trying her logic, a persistent individual.
"And that's why it is better you propose now than later." The hazel one's hands to her chest, pouting a bit.
"No matter which way you square it, the apocalypse is very unlikely to happen." My humorless gaze on her.
"It happened during the Eternal Night." Stepping closer to me, her hands on her waist.
The Eternal Night, darkness blanketing the worlds. Horrific creatures roaming the land, indescribable sorrow.
A terrible war, the Iconoclast clashing against powerful foes. A similar experience to Inai, my mind still on it. That person patiently waiting for me, believing in me.
Slowly revealing her location to me, her gentle presence shining light into my dark world. Putting up with her shenanigans, playing along with her tests.
My mind wandering back to her novel, my wish to know more. Words still to my attention, images not leaving me.
"Your crisis aside, mind explaining a few things about your novel?" folding my arms.
"Just stuff...couples do, hehe." Dabria facing away, her hand on her cheek.
"Maybe I should really push this date up another year." Walking away, my pale expression.
"L—let's not get any crazy ideas now!" the lavender one racing after me.
Bonus Scene From Dabria:
Nightly Game
Heading back up to our room for the night, trying to convince her to lower the date. A stubborn one she is, firmly holding true to her stance.
Still, I know why. Those events from the past, I wish to move beyond them together with her. Even if it is one step at a time, that is one foot forward and away from the past.
This dusk, we find ourselves in the living room sitting across from each other. A table on the floor with a chessboard, my advantage in it.
"It is not that hard you know, just some practice and you'll get the hang of it." My bright smile to her.
"If you say so." Ava's faint grin on me.
"The best way to learn would be to have a wager, are you willing?" my clever eyes on her.
"So, that was why you set up the field like this." That goddess scanning the board.
A deity rising to her challenges, this unfavorable situation to her. No matter, these pieces in place, knowing her for a long time.
Approaching my wish, taking it into my hands. This excitement in my heart, our meeting eyes. Seeing her approval, this person accepting my game.
Our proceeding match, everything falling apart. An entire game flipping on its head, my wide open mouth at the end of it.
"I was only letting you win, naturally I know how to play chess heh." Ava standing, shortly sitting on the couch, propping her arms behind her head.
"You led me on?!" rising to my feet, frustratingly holding my hands to my chest.
"You should know by now, I am not one to be negotiated with." The young woman's teasing grin on me, crossing her legs.
Our meeting long ago, encountering this precious person at the church in Inai. Her cold front, yet warmth within her.
Spending time with her, something more growing between us. Many years since our parting, that one returning, fulfilling her promise to me.
Losing this test to her, a goddess leading me on. Intentionally making bad plays, putting herself in a terrible position.
This probably being a way to give me a chance, her many challenges drawing me to her. A disappointing situation, another loss to her. Folding my arms in displeasure, soon making my way over to her.
Sitting next to her, resting myself against her. Her arm extending around me, holding me to her. My eyes slightly to my companion, pouting at her.
"I will keep taking you on as many times as you wish." Her smile to me.
"Heh, you got lucky this time." Pressing myself against her.
Ava: Whenever I had doubts, you were there to guide me, just like in Inai.
Dabria: Our beginning might have been sad, but what came after is something I will never give up.
