Chapter 9: Raining Sorrow(Part 3)

Two worlds remaining apart in days deep inside of the past, those of differing realms. A curse setting into place, an entity of the earth meeting another of the heavens. A bond forming, everlasting of it. Differences of them, finer points bringing them together. Conflict of eternity, that being of the land continuously fighting. The other residing far above, pursuing their companion walking the earth. Closeness of them, a moment of it. A smile going away, that one below out of reach, both binding in chains. Ensuing sorrow, souls in bondage. The slightest of chances of a possibility, two moving towards that minuscule hope.

Far below the clouds, a world of distantness. One of the heavens, and the other of the earth living in a much simpler time. A life of such pleasure, laughter existing. Vastness of the limitless worlds, these blissful feelings between two. A gentle flow of energy coursing through forest, one going on and on. Smaller animals running about, refreshing the scent of the air is. That rustling of the trees, comforting it is. That warmth of the sun shining down, revealing Cyra and Valor. Both pleasantly enjoying their experience, friends of nearness. Turning from him, that young woman gazing upon her surroundings. Some creatures catching her eye like lizards, then the larger ones such as bears. Peculiar it is, those animals paying them no mind, outsiders in the world of Alfheim. Positioning her arms in a thinking posture, a peaceful realm she is finding it to be.

"Do not concern yourself, Alfheim is one of the more accepting worlds we can visit." Valor assuring her.

A realm of openness, even if there is a devil amongst them. A heart embracing these blissful feelings, those creatures roaming around. Glancing back to her old friend, lowering her hands to her side. Thinking on his words for a bit, life accepting of another's presence. Pleasureful it is, dancing in this warmth. Conflict no more than a dream, this freshness of the air. That gentle breeze, those animals passing by. Some glancing in their direction, but continuing with their own activities. Peculiar it is, but most inviting.

"Indeed." She faintly smiles.

A smile existing in those days, times of joy around every corner. A heart free to embrace the wind, a soul soaring with another. Feelings deep inside, emotions inside of a lock. That maiden turning towards him, holding her hands behind her back. Many places they have been, but none as peaceful as the current one they are in. That breeze gently hitting against them, refreshing the air is, calm the rustling leaves are. Those eyes of crimson and azure meeting with one another, friends for many years. An unlikely meeting between two, but one of most appreciation.

"Hey, Val?"

Her words of softness, that tone in her voice. Slightly looking away, some unease building from the pit of Valor's stomach. Sentiments far inside, feelings in a lock. One continuing to wait, another remaining inside of their shell. One from highness descending to the land, an encounter becoming a life changing experience. Two of differences, those finer points forming an irreplaceable bond. Companions holding the other close, sharing a similar interest at the core. That god returning his attention towards her, his vision a bit distressing.

"Yeah...?" he holds the back of his head with his right hand.

Friends of closeness, feelings residing deep inside. Emotions remaining inside of a lock, a bond between two. Slightly looking away from him, well in awareness on the dread this is bringing her old friend. Cyra turning her attention towards him, soon facing away from the god. Gazing up into the vast blue sky, those clouds slowly moving along. Endless in mystery the worlds can be, adventure around every corner. Companions there for one another, certain words deep within. A heart seeking release, souls yearning for the countless distance.

Unlawfully taken from Royal Road, this story should be reported if seen on Amazon.

"How long do you believe we have been on this adventure of ours?" she softly questions.

That deity slightly looking away, uncertain on how to answer. Those words having another meaning behind them, Valor having awareness on what she is meaning. Nonetheless, that god remaining inside of his shell. Some tension revealing from her tone, a dream can only temporarily remain as such. Resting his vision upon her, those eyes of crimson and azure meeting with one another. Her head slightly hanging low, no doubt that deity constantly thinking about this, perhaps a bit too often as of late.

"Hard to say really, why do you ask?" he distantly responds.

Years upon years, a bond between two. A devil and deity meeting underneath a tree, those grassy plains endlessly extending. Reprehensible it may be, but their differences bringing them even closer. That young woman glancing back to him, well in awareness that they must cross this bridge at some point. Reality slowly setting in, to accept this early on. Easier it will be to adapt, when such a time is upon them. Painful it is, but a dream cannot remain forever. Feelings deep inside, one waiting, another hiding inside of their shell.

"I know you have been thinking about it as well." She softly states.

Two traveling together for so many years, an old friend well in awareness. An impossibility in hiding anything from her, that deity hanging his head low. Selfish it is of him, that one wanting this dream to continue on. Pleasureful those experiences are, an unlikely bond between two. Companions growing closer, this moment in their lives coming into reality. One waking up, possibly not remembering what may have been so blissful. Horrifying it is, an everlasting void. Slowly shaking his head from left to right, that maiden turning in his direction. Holding her hand to her chest, those eyes meeting with one another.

"Valor..."

Her voice a bit of distantness, a bond of importance to them both. Difficult it is, confronting this reality. An adventure for so many years, blissful it has been. No matter so, everything having to come to an end. Harsh it is, yet feelings wishing for more. That deity fabricating a smile, Cyra's expression of grimness. A devil knowing well of the pain, this agony within her heart. An old friend forcing a smile, one continuing to do his best, even through the most sorrowful of times. This being how she is remembering him, a god forever trying to bring pleasure to their lives.

"Hey, even if our travels have to come to an end, we still have our memories, right?" he uneasily speaks.

Memories residing inside of the past, those many adventures. Feelings of times of joy, companions facing their challenges together. Dreadfulness of it, hearts paining with each moment. No matter so, this of a reality. Every dream having to come to an end, but maybe emotions can be more. Holding her hands behind her back, Cyra slightly looking away. A faint smile expressing upon her, that irreplaceable friend. Even if the future is a distressing one, at least they will have those experiences with them. Agonizing it is, yet warmth remaining.

"Indeed, everything must come to an end, I am glad you are starting to realize this." She gently agrees.

Turning from him, Cyra resting her vision to the seemingly endless path. That maiden glancing back to her old friend, smiling at him. That deity distantly looking at her, witnessing that young woman turning her attention ahead. Cyra walking onward, embracing the moment. That deity scratching the back of his head, slightly gazing down. A reality he must come to terms with, their joyful travels of limitation. A stressful sigh escaping him, that god trailing behind her. Until the day they shall part, a deity continuing to follow, trying to extend that dream.

Everything must come to an end. Yeah...I knew that...but yet I wanted to continue dreaming. Suddenly, I felt like the one bound to the earth, while you continued flying further and further away. No matter how far I reach, I can never catchup. Where the heavens and earth can meet again, such an occasion I will continue pursuing. For a time where you can smile again...
