Flowering Night(Part 3)

Once living in happiness, that small light in his life. A stubborn one, her bright presence shining onto his direction. That helpless feeling, his crushing defeat. Selfishly pursuing his path, wanting to bring meaning to her demise. This echoing voice in his head, his rising fury. Refusing to remain quiet, facing his challenges. Crushing his opponents, feverishly seeking after what is within.

Pleasant days from old, a king before that person. Those eyes of the land, someone drawing the presence from one above. The flowing breeze underneath the sundown, this young woman's shimmering expression. Her dark top, a red dress wrapping below. These two out in the field, the flowing blades of grass. Turning to him, her hands behind her back.

"You worry too much." Leaning a bit closer to him, grinning at him.

"The field isn't anything to be so carefree about you know." Sighing from him, folding his arms.

"Maybe so, but if you spend all day worrying, you'll miss the finer things." Gesturing her hand to her side.

A pure heart in the world, always looking beyond the cruelty. Someone reaching into the darkness, extending her arm to him. Pulling him to the surface, showing him the other side. His vision in the direction, seeing animals running along.

Their interactions, a peaceful moment. These smaller points, noting them. The increasing breeze, something blowing in it. A black rose flying by him, his stretching hand, gripping it. Gazing at it, this strange occurrence.

"That black rose blew quite a bit, the field for it is likely a 20 minute walk from here." The young woman facing the way, her index finger to her chin.

"Is that so?" his vision to her.

"Yeah, we can go check it out if you want." Turning to him, gripping her arms.

Living his life on the battlefield, continuously believing in the worst. Coming across this person, integrating into a normal setting. Lowering his guard, relishing in these simpler feelings.

His eye slightly to the flower, shortly walking up to her. Her confusion to him, tilting her head a bit. Raising the rose, positioning it over her ear. Her face reddening a bit, facing away from him.

"Oh what are you doing? Come on, we should head there." Her hand to cheek, faintly smiling, her sad eyes.

These pure sentiments, two within an endless stream. Enjoying the smaller things, venturing out together. Her hastening heart rate, moving forward. Urging him onward, his slight grin.

Following behind her, his attention to the sky. Watching the soaring birds, listening to her words. Appreciating his experiences, this person showing him much, his gratefulness to her.

You held your smile, even though you knew what was to come. You were a far stronger person than I could ever be...

Alicia's eyes on him, noticing his grim expression. Shifting her attention to the flowing darkness afar, their clear destination. Valos, many serving underneath this deity. Her requirement to remain loyal, these conflicting sentiments within her. Needing answers, this chance before her.

Her willingness to be a traitor, seeking after her light. Two shortly continuing onward, eventually finding themselves at a tower. That silver structure stretching tall, malice intensely burning from it. A solider at the front, a man in his thirties.

His brown hair, those eyes reflecting the sky. His armor representing lightning, that person carrying a dark spear. Unrest in the area, agitation from Valos. That man feeling it, his eyes on the two approaching. Standing on his side, directing his spear at them. Those individuals coming closer into view, his slightly widening vision.

"Alicia? What is going on here...?" his confusion.

That person from a distance, knowing her direction. Wishing to avoid this conflict, yet having to know. Walking down her path, her willingness to proceed. Her guiding sentiments, those small bits of information over her time. This energy in the area, its malicious force. Yearning to unravel the truth, her devotion to her cause. Refusing to idly remain still, acting on her opportunity.

"Aaron...you can feel this pressure, right?" stepping forward.

This great malevolence, its sinister power. Something guiding it, unease gripping at the heart. Slightly lowering his spear, the soldier thinking for a moment. Having his mission, that person choosing to stand against it. These conflicting emotions, needing to believe in his way to go forward. Slowly shaking his head in refusal, his vision meeting with the young woman's own.

"Alicia...we have our orders. If you return, I will stay silent about this...please..." Pleading with her.

These swirling whirlpool of sentiments, two confronting on opposite sides. That man wishing for her to come back, cherishing their experiences together. The king's vision to her, awaiting her response. Folding his arms, feeling the cold breeze against him.

That person resting her hand on her chest, taking in her current knowledge. Yearning to know more, that tower holding answers. Her eyes on it, its brightening darkness. Shortly standing on her side, directing her blade at the individual ahead.

"Aaron...we as soldiers protect, and respect those different from us. Think about it. Every time we release Valos, that entire region gets annihilated. How is that respecting the beliefs of another...?" her serious vision.

A pure heart from the past, someone once bright. Her shining presence, guiding the king's way. Everything slipping away from him, a deity bringing ruin to his enemies. That lion's eyes to the man, this person refusing to acknowledge it. Holding onto his teachings, following in its message. His quickly beating heart, this painful situation on him.

"You were the best of us. However, your heart has always been your weakness. Alicia, even if it is you, I will strike you down." His sorrowful gaze on her.

Someone deciding on his direction, his determination to see it through to its end. These clashing sentiments, those on opposite sides. The king's vision on the young woman, an individual not backing down. Stepping back, letting her choose her way.

Two allies now standing on opposing sides, their diverging roads. Each proceeding in their path, refusing to give in. Alicia extending her blade, pure white energy surrounding her weapon.

Her sword stretching long, its widening shape. Ancient symbols revealing out of the light, a divine force burning on it. From above, the Iconoclast in between dimensions. Bearing witness to this event, those pursuing what is inside. The chillingly cold wind, electricity sparking from Aaron's weapon.

The solider bursting through, closing in on his foe. That person meeting his action, both crashing against the other, light and electricity piercing the area. The land tearing apart, this immense pressure. That king closely watching, witnessing the young woman's strong defense.

Dashing away, plunging her sword into the earth. Spikes rushing at her target, a powerful barrier repelling the many stabs. This compressing energy, shortly devastatingly releasing. A powerful assault crushing against the man, that solider sliding back on his feet, unease from his eyes.

"Aaron, remember why you joined as a soldier..." Alicia swinging out her arm.

Carrying values with them, believing in their cause. Wanting to push ahead, faithfully serving. These conflicting information, those rising sentiments. Seeking after knowledge, looking further. This sinister feeling around her, drawing closer to her answer.

Questioning her role, her efforts out in the field. Ruin in the presence of a deity, something more existing behind the curtains, her certainty on it. That man taking caution to her, remembering their first encounter.

Buildings falling apart underneath the shining sun, many bodies piling on each other. Death and decay in the area, enemies aiming their firearms at Aaron. The solider extending his spear, unease from him. Those concentrating energies, the assaults bursting towards him.

His widening gaze, quickly shutting his eyes, an enormous explosion tearing through. Shortly opening his vision, surprise from him. Alicia standing in front of him, her blade sticking in the ground, a massive barrier protecting them both. Glancing back to him, her stern gaze on him.

"A soldier without a purpose is on their way towards death. What is your reason for fighting?" her piercing voice.

Wandering for a while, his uncertainty on his direction. Following their teachings, his cloudy mind. That person coming to his aid, giving him a chance to figure it out. A savior to him, wanting to meet her line.

Their current point, both opposing one another. The king looking at the two, his vision slightly away. Someone trying to find his way, this moment on them.

"Aaron, a soldier without a purpose is on their way towards death. It is time you figure out your reason." Her calm voice.

An empty vessel, carrying it for years. Never finding his way, continuing in his path. This person before him, her ringing words. That lion witnessing her resolve, the young woman guiding him. Doing so in her own way, wishing for him to make his own decisions. This encouraging hope in her presence, a person not relenting.

"Alicia, since that day, I admired you. I wanted to repay that favor...but...what we were taught..." His eyes a bit away.

Anguish in him, that man standing in darkness. His way without light, looking around him. Lowering his head, thinking on his experiences over the years. His resolve clashing with his duties, this deep frustration in him.

His eyes ahead, the young woman in front of him. Her hand towards him, his distant gaze. Looking at it, his vision shortly to her own.

"What you are taught, and what you do are two different things. Tell me this, why did you join up?" her gentle tone.

This person before him, someone following her heart. Doing her job in her own way, steadily approaching an answer to this malice. Trusting in her belief, this sinister energy around her. That individual turning from the man, this one looking away. Placing away his weapon, lowering his head. His quickly beating chest, needing to find the purpose for his choice.

"My...reason for joining..."

Gripping his upper arm, those flowing memories. A moment long ago, the young woman saving him. Allowing a chance to find his way, this situation in front of him. These swirling whirlpool of emotions, those crashing tides. Sinking below, his arm above.

His desperate eyes, that person reaching in, grabbing his hand. Pulling him to the surface, her calm vision on him. Falling to his knee, looking around him. Ruin from a deity, those countless smiling faces no more.

"I joined to stop the sorrow, to be able to protect those who could not do so themselves. Helpless, that's how I felt when Valos brought ruin to so many." Biting his lower lip.
