Chapter 4: Two Souls(Conclusion)

A sorrowful night long ago, a kingdom in a terrible state. A condition towards an agreement, a princess steadily losing her little freedom. Her knight with her on this dusk, refusing to allow for it. That pure one's displeasure, putting up with the difficulty of another.

An individual endangering herself, her willingness to fight against a hopeless cause. Yearning to save this person to her heart, her determination to rise to her challenge. Confronting the king this dusk, her stern expression on him.

"Your majesty, about princess Estelle's marriage." Her hand on her waist.

"It is none of your business." His eyes away from her.

"I have risked life and limb not only for this kingdom, but for your daughter as well. All I ask, is to give me a chance." Lowering her head.

"I understand, you two are quite close. Though, we are in a very shaky state. They can wipe us out if we do not agree." His sorrowful vision on her.

This tremendous weight on her shoulders, her racing mind. Enemies holding the cards in their hands, an unfavorable situation. Not wishing to back down, running down her dark path.

One at the end of this nightmare, desiring to free her. A bright person coming into her life, shining light into her world. Not wishing to see it go away, someone cherishing her companion.

"Give me any job, no matter how dangerous it is. If I die, then you can go ahead, as there will be no more need for a resistance. If you wish for me to execute the king of Laquel, I will take up that suicidal mission. In exchange, Estelle gets her freedom." Swinging out her arm.

"Enough already Atlalune!" a familiar voice to her.

A precious individual in her life, not wanting to see her lose her little hope. A knight willing to accept an unlikely job, taking on the weight of potential failure.

A guard to another, that person seeing more in her. Two venturing together, experiencing the simpler things. A suicidal mission, her determination to tackle it. Turning to the princess, this one in front of her, their hands on their waist.

"This is complete madness! Stop charging into the jaws of death! This time you will almost certainly end up dead!" tears to her eyes.

"I know, but if it means your freedom and happiness, I will do anything." Her hand to her chest, her soft smile on Estelle.

Their different lives, each having their responsibilities. Two from different worlds, that maiden wanting to give more to her. Wishing for her to truly embrace a free life, a knight willing to take on the greatest risk.

These emotions within the two, a situation steadily tearing them apart. Estelle gripping her arms, lowering her head. Unable to stop this person to her heart, desiring for her safety. That one not giving in, an individual diving into a hellish inferno.

"Well, what do you think? Are we in agreement? If I die, I die. If I succeed, Estelle goes free. Not a bad deal, right?" facing the king, her hand on her waist.

"Fine...I will give you this mission. Though, since I highly doubt you will succeed. This is farewell, Atlalune. Thank you for serving us, and for being such a great companion to my daughter." His sad smile to her.

"It was an honor to serve." Bowing to him.

A knight yearning to save one to her heart, charging towards her death. This great mission on her, none able to aid her. Taking it up, her last effort to change the tides.

Believing in the tiniest chance, wishing for a miracle. The princess hearing this, shortly running out of the room. The door loudly shutting, that maiden understanding her displeasure.

And so...I took up this suicidal job, believing I will almost certainly die. Though, that small hope. I reached for it, wanting to save her...
