Sitting down inside of his home, blackness around him. His eyes on the door, hoping for Aurora's return. Wishing everything to be a nightmare, knowing of the actuality. Lowering his head, whining from him. Shortly standing, his attention on the dark room, hearing a familiar voice.

Zeus.

Quickly looking around, his thumping chest. Excitement coming over him, turning around. His eyes on Aurora, her gentle crimson eyes on him. Warmly smiling at him, standing at the entrance to the kitchen. Joy from him, barking at her. Racing to her, drawing closer. Arriving, an illusion of her.

Lowering his head, crying out, yelping from him. His best friend not here, trying to accept this. Blackness around him, his deep loneliness, his tormenting agony. Walking to the stairs, making his way to their room. Shortly inside, once again hearing her voice.

Zeus, you okay?

Facing the bathroom, his eyes on Aurora. Hope in his vision, this fading illusion. Walking to the area, looking in. Desiring this to be a trickery, wishing for his best friend to pop in. Wanting it to be a nightmare, awareness on the truth. His paining heart, standing in this darkness. Moving away from the area, his low spirit.

Heading to the bed, jumping on it. This lonely night, loudly howling. Letting out his sorrow, losing everything in an instant, witnessing the demise of the witch. The next morning, awakening from his slumber. Hearing a voice calling out again, that one to his heart.

Zeus! Come on down boy! Breakfast is ready!

Excitement in his heart, a nightmare of a chance. Immediately perking up, wagging his tail. Rising up, jumping off the bed. Bolting out the door, racing down the stairs. Shortly finding himself on the bottom floor, his fading happiness. His eyes trailing the area, despair in his vision.

Charging at him, the dog trying to hold his ground. A wall of fire stretching through, sweeping in front of him, stretching tall. Gazing at this, horror in his vision. The harsh flames, feeling its heat. That expanding fire, engulfing the monsters, their screams filling the dreadful night.

Steadily subsiding flames, nervousness from him, slowly looking around. Shortly resting his eyes on Aurora from afar, that young woman walking towards the animal. His hasty heart, stepping back a bit, growling at her. Enemies within the night, chasing him far.

Those underneath the bleeding moon, terrible encounters underneath the dusk. Standing before him, her eyes down on the small one. Kneeling to him, motioning her hand to him. Uncertainty from him, that horrific scene. Immediately biting her hand, this warmly grinning maiden.

"You're a real fighter huh. You did well to stay alive this long, especially in these parts."

Her soft tone, hearing her voice. Slowly retracting his fangs, his steadily settling heart. His eyes on her, this innocence in him. Tenderly smiling down at him, placing a gentle hand on his head. Calming him, his vision below. Sadness in his gaze, his experiences in this madness.

Not knowing a direction, coming into this place. Encountering fiends, unable to run any longer. His great fear, having to stand his ground. The cold night, horrors in the shadows, a young woman saving him from his demise.

"You want to come home with me?"

Tilting his head to her, a hound residing in darkness. One coming into his life, shining light along his path. Her warm smile, her hands towards him. Cautiously looking onward, her arms around him. Lifting him, cradling him. This tenderness from her, his quickly beating chest. Not knowing kindness, cruelty in his short time.

Someone reaching out to him, giving him a way out of this sadness. Silence from him, his eyes on her. Two underneath the light of the bleeding moon, their connecting paths. A new way towards tomorrow, this becoming clearer to him.

"It's okay, hmm...you need a name, and a strong one at that. I know, I'll call you, Zeus." Brightly smiling at him.

Never having a name, this strange sentiment. Thinking on it, the blowing breeze. Feeling her embrace, adoring her. Struggling against his challenges, this horrifying area. Fleeing from many, trying to survive. His shifting life, that hand reaching out to him.

Light shining in blackness, providing a path out of his torment. Two in this place, his calming heart. Aurora standing from the ground, turning away. Those underneath the light of the crimson moon, this object cursing countless within its way. A direction in going forward, their strong hearts.

"Come on now, let's go home. I am sure I can find you something to eat." Grinning at him.

Lowering his head, that night long ago. One coming into his life, shining light on his dark path. Warmth reaching out to him, holding him in her embrace. A name to him, companions since that encounter. Developing himself, trying to protect her.

Searching for a solution, uncertainty from him. Failure in his direction, losing a dear one. His crumbling world, this powerless feeling. His aching heart, those flashing images. The death of his companion, a foe overwhelming him. Scraping the ground in frustration, exhaling a bit.

If only...

Possibilities racing in his mind, wondering on a difference. Running after her, shouting out to her. His voice in silence, fearing the worst. Helplessness from him, unable to act. His late arrival, witnessing the demise of his best friend. Standing in a lonely abyss, his eyes on his surroundings.

That young woman at his side, looking to him. Moving to her in excitement, her smile to him. Her arms in his direction, this one passing through her. His trembling gaze, lowering his head. His deep pain, one no longer with him, an event to his mind.

A dreadful night, that bleeding moon shining down its light. Turning his eyes to his companion, wounds on him. Weakly pulling himself over to her, failure in his path. Unable to determine a solution, his painful eyes.

Sentiments swirling inside of him, yearning for another chance. Lying with her, those foes around him. That leader saying some words, his high sword. This instance upon the hound, his slowly fading will. Everything slipping away from him, these frustrating feelings. His deep despair, this one with him.

Could I have done anything...? I couldn't even kill the one who did that to you. Their fault...it was their fault for all of this...
