Those words to the maiden, her increasing anger. Sprinting onward, that foe ascending into the air. Making her way to the noble-woman, some artilleries firing at her. These connecting weapons, smoke filling the area.
Rona emerging out of it, continuing in her course, attacks not affecting her. Knights having their hands full evacuating people, this chaotic situation.
The mage looking in the direction, witnessing the ex-commander's approach. That enemy firing dark energy balls from around her wings, those many nearing assaults. Horror from the researcher, her shaking body.
An enormous Phoenix emerging from the land, stretching tall into the sky. Blocking the assaults, incinerating it into its flames. Atlalune stepping out of the fire, her eyes on her enemy floating above.
"I will not make the same mistake twice." The knight walking forward.
Sol watching her companion walking out into the battlefield, their steadily descending opponent. Rona soon touching down on the ground, staking her sword into the land, darkness sinking into it. Unleashing this force, twin negative gates surrounding the maiden.
That mercenary's willingness to see her path through to its end, her hand over chest. Clenching it into a fist, releasing the power of light. That energy eating away at the area, trapping two in a white void. Standing there, Atlalune displaying her fiery spirit.
"Are you truly willing to burn out your soul for a single life?" Rona directing her sword at the knight.
Making her move, trapping them both in this white void. Her reason for doing so, not allowing that light in her life to go away again. Her willingness to burn away at her soul, continuously doing so until her success.
Her new purpose for proceeding, a way to close most of her past, while also protecting a precious individual from the present. These memories with her, cherishing that bright person.
"Yeah, I am. This might be my end, but if it is for this desire...I am fine with it." Placing her hand over her heart, folding it into a fist.
Her intensifying fire, her awakening soul. Deciding on her path, her reason for going forward. Two spirits creating one existence, that one proceeding forward in her own way. Living her life, enjoying the smallest stuff. Researching many things, her love for the distant past.
A pure individual shining light onto the maiden's path, leading her back to those pleasant times. Moving forward, extending her left arm. Wind rapidly tearing away at it, its massively expanding form, revealing Siren's talon.
Rushing at her foe, Rona charging at the mercenary. Colliding into the other, that knight piercing through her, spilling blood in the distance.
"If you think this is hell, this is just the beginning--!" her great rage.
Her never leaving nightmares, constantly wondering on a difference. Failing someone to her heart, that guilt constantly with her. Doing her best, seeking after any clue. Constantly turning up short, those once joyful days, sharing in bliss with another.
Everything slipping from her, a horrific night stripping it all away. The maiden facing her target, vanishing in the wind. Shredding her opponent with her talon from every direction, scorching the ex-commander in her flames. Appearing in front of them, backflip kicking them high.
"You will feel the burning of my soul--!!
Her soul in silence for a long time, unable to do much. These frustrating sentiments, yearning to bring meaning to the demise of one. Her hatred for a dragon, that leading her far.

Another kingdom holding responsibility as well, deciding on her choice. Accepting it, choosing her own way forward. Cherishing her current memories, deeply holding onto them. Pursuing her enemy, dispersing into flames.
Rapidly striking Rona from every angle, binding her in a fiery prison. This unsettling situation to the ex-commander, her vision shifting upward. Watching that maiden high in the air, her arm above, fire extending from her.
The void revealing the crimson moon, this curse shining down its gleam. Descending on her ex-commander, grabbing their head, racing to the land.
"--And I will continue to burn away at it until you feel my desires!!!"
Speaking what is within, these sentiments within her. The Iconoclast staying silent, watching her solution. A person tackling with the past and present, choosing an option to fulfill both. Her direction to burn away at her soul, unleashing what is inside.
Nearing the earth, slamming Rona into it. Spreading her flames, turning the area into a fiery hell. Extending it far, the Phoenix wrapping around, ascending above. Unveiling its power, incinerating two spirits, shattering the realm.
A conflict at an end, the flames no more. A quiet sad dusk in its passing, rubble everywhere. Many people with injuries, some helping others.
That noble-woman walking through the crowd, searching for her companion. Going to their previous location, not seeing the mercenary there.
Calling out to her, waiting some time. Not hearing any response, shortly running around. Desperately screaming out her name, the researcher still not getting an answer.
Eventually stopping, falling to her knees, tears to her eyes. Ethan walking up to her side, slightly looking away.
Six months going by, the noble-woman continuing to believe in the smallest chance. Grasping at any possibility, countless already concluding on the maiden's demise.
Her ability to burn away at her soul in exchange for power, someone constantly doing so. Putting together some pieces, the knight burning out at the expense of defeating Rona. This night in Valice, Sol dressing for an outing.
A celebration towards her many discoveries, yet this hollow feeling within her. Standing in a corner in her dark top, a black dress wrapping below.
"Sol, you can try to enjoy the celebration a bit more. Your findings are an enormous help for Valice." A woman in a red dress walking up to her.
"How can I? A lot of those were also discovered while I was traveling with Lune..." Gripping her upper arm, looking away.
"You have to accept by now...that she is gone..." The woman sadly looking down.
"No, I know she is alive somewhere..." Facing away, scowling a bit.
Heading off, not wishing to speak any longer. Not wanting to believe in that possibility, hoping for a miracle. That person in her mind, someone able to overcome her challenges. Constantly emerging from unlikely scenarios, an individual able to do the nigh impossible.
This aching in her chest, half a year with no clues, her steadily fading resolve. Making her way outside, returning to the center of the city. Standing there, the place of her partner's disappearance.
From between dimensions, the Iconoclast's eyes on her. Hearing her deep wish, a simple yet pure one. Her vision shifting to her side, seeing the slowly reforming fire. Faintly smiling, extending her legendary staff.
A white light washing over the area, hastening the reformation. The steadily clearing energy, Atlalune floating there. That maiden looking at the entity, her confusion on the situation.
"I have hastened your revival, and have granted you and Sol a gift. Now, I believe you should go to her." The being facing away.
Watching over her soul, allowing for its steady reformation. Bearing witness to the efforts from the other below, an individual never stopping.
Choosing to believe in the tiniest chance, six painful months. The demon choosing to interfere a bit, hastening the process.
Atlalune looking down, seeing Sol there. Shortly shifting her gaze back to the entity, that person fading away. Faintly smiling, the maiden descending into the world.
Flames concentrating in the air, the noble-woman's eyes on it. Stepping back a bit, feeling a familiar energy, this hope in her heart. That knight soon taking form, landing a bit away from her.
"Lu--Lune...?"
"Sorry it took so long..." Softly grinning at her companion, her hands behind her back.
That voice to her again, her quickly beating chest. The mage running to her, embracing that person. Tightly holding on, quietly sobbing. Searching for a long time, unable to come across any hints.
Everyone else giving up, her own hope slowly disappearing over time. A miracle on this night, two reuniting underneath the crimson light. The maiden's arms around her, allowing her partner to let out their sorrow.
"It is okay...I am back now." Atlalune's assuring voice.
This is my reality now, with someone who is the light in my life...
