Chapter 94 – Entry of Malice
----------------------------------------
The Witch fell at the hands of the ballista!
The Whales of Sand roars as their captors lead them to the walls.
The roaring sand of rampages clouded behind them as the whale rams the unguarded walls.
Screams echoed on the walls of the City.
The Barbarians outside the city screamed in joy as the impenetrable wall that made them frustrated for days finally fell before their eyes.
Zhula the War Leader smiled at the fate of the walls breaking.
Raising her bone spear with the utmost vigor and joy, Zhula said:
“MY KINSMEN TO THE WALLS WE WILL TAKE IT THE NAME OF OUR TRIBE!”
The Barbarians of the Goraz Faction mouthed a War Cry like any other.
The Defenders of the City of Lugenstan shivered in fright as the war cry begets their heart.
Their hands rattled as the loud footsteps of the barbarians slowly draws near the city.
The Army of the City, its vanguard felt like their souls burn. Their city, their love, and their loyalty burned as the cry of malice enter their beloved walls.
It was naught for them to escape.
But to fight for the glory of battle is something that they can do.
So they decided to fight with a vigor of a cornered beast.
Raising their weapon and holding them tightly as if it would break their hands.
Raising their shields and holding them tightly as if it would merge with their hands.
The Soldiers of the City charged upon the Barbarians coming at them.
Weapons clang one after another as the battles rage on.
The Defenses of the City hasn’t fallen yet.
There is at least one last line of defense and that line is where the Fighter’s Guild hold.
In that line, the strongest of the Fighter’s Guild stand their ground in wait for the barbarians to come at them.
It is preferable for them to go out there and kill the barbarians already.
But as they hold the line and the lives of the people behind them they did not dare to do so.
So the Fighter’s Guild held the line.
While the City’s forces clashed their swords at the Barbarians of Goraz, who in terms of strength was too overwhelming for the city’s defenders who are only average in terms of abilities.
The battle was hard to look at.
The City’s defender slowly died one after another as the barbarians overwhelm them.
Despair flowed on the hearts of the defenders.
Yet they stood strong in the face of despair as if they had nothing to lose.
Behind them are the fighters that would make their loved ones safe.
But even so, not all of them stayed strong on their feet.
There were others who turn their back in fear.
But turning one's back on a barbarian proved to be fatal.
Fighting them head on is a better way to survive.
The Barbarians are Hunters by nature.
So seeing their prey turn its back is a huge chance for them to bring it down.
So the cowards can only die at their cowardice.
...
Zhula entered the City of Lugenstan with a triumphant face.
Raising her chin up high the War Leader Leading the Goraz Barbarians felt what is known as pride finally.
This story originates from a different website. Ensure the author gets the support they deserve by reading it there.
She was quite proud of herself.
She knows that she is one step closer to taking the city.
The City will fall at her hands sooner or later.
“DIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE”
A voice sounded out as a bloodied guard comes rushing at her.
Zhula sneered as she easily extinguishes the guard with her bone spear.
Blood stained the tip of her spear. She didn’t wipe the blood but instead smeared her face with it as a sign of her hunt’s start.
Bloodcurdling thoughts came upon Zhula’s head.
Barbarians worship nature but also they worship the God of the Hunt.
The God of Hunt is their main Deity.
Nature Comes Second.
So with the blood of her first prey upon entering the City fills her power.
Zhula with her bloodthirsty eyes commanded her Barbarians to attack the Guards that are pathetically defending the city.
Zhula didn’t hate the defenders for what they are doing. In fact, she was praising them for the bravery that they are mustering against her forces.
Zhula herself didn’t let the defenders outmatched her.
With her bone spear that can be used to slash open even the armors of the defenders.
It is made of a Griffin’s Claw so it was not that hard to imagine that it would be able to tear an iron armor with ease.
Zhula continued her rampage.
Her barbarians followed suit until the entry wall was completely filled with barbarians.
Zhula then instructed the rest of her men to follow her to the next line.
And as she intended she dashes at the chaotic streets of Lugenstan and finally saw the visible line of the defenders that calls themselves as the Fighters Guild.
Zhula smiled widely at the sight of these defenders. With her barbarians by her side, Zhula raised her bone spear and told them to charge.
Running together as if they are a pack of monsters that saw helpless preys, Zhula, and her Barbarians leap up to the defenders and pointed their spears at the defenders holding the line with blood-crazed eyes!
The Fighters guild however suddenly put their shield up front, pointed it at the barbarians as they kneel on the ground.
The Barbarians landed on the shield and they weren’t able to pierce the shields of the defenders.
And as Zhula and her barbarians were about to strike again at the defender’s head.
The sound of men roaring came from behind as they saw men who prone on the ground covered with sands raised their long swords at the barbarians.
Her Barbarians defended and Zhula herself saw a figure a flashed in front of her carrying a greatsword.
This man carrying the greatsword was none other than Randal himself.
He swung his greatsword at Zhula.
She managed to block it but she was thrown back.
She rolled in mid-air twice and landed on the ground along with the other barbarians who got thrown back like her.
Barbarians are hunters who hunted beasts and monsters for survival. With the hunt, they were able to imitate the ferocity of beasts.
That is why the Fighters who hunt beasts and Monsters daily are the people who can fight the barbarians.
To the Fighters, they see the Barbarians as savage beasts.
And as the usual thing they do.
They slay them.
