Chapter 153 – Journal Entry 3: Peaceful Parcels
----------------------------------------
I delivered the parcels expecting trouble but it seems that the courier killers didn’t even try to mess with me. Maybe I did something wrong and now they are keeping a distance? Well, it doesn’t matter because I was able to safely put the parcels into their designated locations.
For now, I am just going to say that I somehow manage to locate them simply by asking around. I didn’t have any map to tell me, but I use my head and acted like a regular lost person. The people of this city are quite helpful. There are guns everywhere and even the kids playing in this park near a river carried short firearms. I wonder why in the hell would their parents allow them to carry firearms but it was simply out of my head.
The situation, the culture of this world is far different. I don’t remember anything but even I could find it eccentric. What if these kids blow their heads up, wouldn’t that be quite shameful? Ah, I really don’t know what to think of this place.
I had time to spare since I delivered the parcels so I went to the marketplace. The place is one of many in the city, but in there I could see stalls and shops selling items and food. I needed a bag to carry most of my belongings, so I went to buy a simple leather rucksack.
After buying some rucksack from one of the shops, I went to one of the food stalls. In the food stalls, there was simple grilled meat put in sticks. They quite smelled good so I bought two sticks and sat on a lone bench. As I sat alone eating my sticks the sky suddenly flickered.
Everyone around me stopped for a moment before continuing back to their business. Then the sky was filled with airships powered by steam flying to a direction. The banner on the ships looks like of the king. So seeing this I thought that there might some commotion outside the towering walls of this city.
I just took a bite of my food.
I did it without caring for anything.
The wind permeating my skin as I seat was quite nice. The place I was sitting alone was peaceful. All a man needs in life is peace.
Ah, somehow I could not help but freeze up when saying that. There is this empty feeling in my chest that I don’t quite understand. Without any memories to know about this pain, I feel myself wondering who I was before I got into this red illuminated world.
I tried searching inside my head again.
There were no memories to be found other than the hazy images.
The Steam rising up from a chimney that leads up to the sky, the loud honk of something that drives seagulls away, the waves colliding with metal, and finally the faces of the people that watch upon a blue horizon.
Where was I heading to?

I was done eating so I went back to the smithery where the midget man and the Smith I talked to greet me. Looking at me unscathed, the two nodded their heads. Crossing their arms, one of the maidservants working for the smithery came out. She has quite a supple breast, great child bearing hips and puckered lips. She smells like a perfume shop though. And the mixed scent of the forge didn’t do her justice.
This maidservant handed me this new letter. In the letter, it says that I am now obliged to go to the printmakers that of the Argos Company. Seeing the seal, the outlandish styled writing on the letter and each words being so fancy made me stare blankly at the midget man.
“And what the fuck is this?”
“Go to the old scribes and hand them the letter. Do you really expect to go the island without any papers?”
“Good point, though I think that you could have done this from the start. Is the forging that busy?”
“None of your business, so now go.”
The midget man talked with his head high. This manlet should really speak like how size is. Fucking midget, oh well I turned to the man that I talked to and gave me this job.
“And it looks like I am going to this fernery island.”
“Well, you got lucky.”
“I never really got your name did I?”
“Well, we don’t really give our names. Privacy, since they might use our names and threaten us to Smith for others, it is a desperate world out there.”
“Sure...it looks like it is.”
I answered despite knowing nothing about this world. No memories to remember, nothing at all makes me quite dumber than everyone. But at least I got lucky.
“Goodbye pal, well thank you for the job. I buy you some beer if this isn’t a scam.”
“Yeah, yeah...”
I wave my hand's goodbye at the smith. The maid servant who handed me the letter was still standing so I just bowed my head gracefully, striding outside.
It looks like I am straight if I got attracted to that woman’s charms.
That is good to know.
...
The old scribes or the Argos accompany that midget told me to go was quite big. It has two floors and when I entered I expected a calm atmosphere only to see this six-foot man clad in black metal choking this tailcoat guy. The guy was quite old, and seeing this man in black throwing the guy in the tailcoat into the counter made quite an impression me.
After throwing the man in black, whose wrapped in black metal sat along with a short woman. This short woman had blonde hair and had a red ribbon. And judging by the way she calmed the man in black. I say that she is the owner of the guy.
I step in and directly walked to the woman in the counter who seems to be scared at the event right now. I gave her the letter, told her my borrowed name. And after inspecting the letter, the woman gave a sigh of relief as she then calls out the blonde woman.
Ah, fuck, so much for the peaceful day.
