Chapter 10 – Trauma Conga
----------------------------------------
An Empty Space surprised Ramiel. Suddenly he found himself in this space without any single clue. He looked around but there wasn’t anything or anyone here. From far what he can remember, he was sleeping in the attic when somehow he got into this place.
“Anyone around here, hello, anyone?”
No one replied to Ramiel. His face changed expression, he scanned the space again yet nothing can be seen. He felt something eerie on this type of space. Where he is right now, even he knows. But even so, he continued looking around, searching for sort of light in this space.
But suddenly, the space itself changed. Ramiel stopped his walk and stared at the space being filled with blood. Ramiel turned around immediately to escape but to no avail the waves of blood collided and drown him. He felt that disgusting sensation, and even though he is under the blood, he could smell it. He looked around anxiously, his head looking right to left with haste. He tried to swim only to find out that he couldn’t. Ramiel started to panic, his heart palpitated rapidly, his chest felt like being crushed.
Where am I? What the hell is this place?
Ramiel thought inside his head. But before long his questions were answered. He heard voices in the abyss of blood, and when his eyes pointed at a direction. He saw poorly clothed individuals with wounds all over them. Ramiel recognized them as the beggars on the slums. He knew that they died, but yet they are swimming towards him!
Ramiel felt panic and fear. He tried swimming away yet the beggars were fast and took hold of him. Ramiel tried to scream, but no words would come out of his mouth. The beggars whispered and asked him words he could not understand. But vaguely he somehow know that the meaning of the words were ‘Why’.
Why for what? He thought, and yet the beggars that are supposed to be dead continued grabbing on to him. They screamed at Ramiel with a loud voice. Ramie’s eyes dilated at the beggars in front of him, he struggled to break but there was no use. He could not get out of the grip of the beggars. He felt like they were holding him with some kind of unknown power. Ramiel wondered when and how did this happen. He clearly does not remember but suddenly an idea pop into his head. It must be a dream, he thought. So he tried waking up from the dream. He struggled to think it that way but the beggars only grab tightly at him He struggled even further, but the beggars were surrounding him. Swimming like fishes, grabbing to him, Ramiel that the beggars were asking why he is still alive despite them dead, he wanted to speak, yet he felt afloat, no words would come out and before long. The dead beggars slowly scream at him endlessly in the space filled with blood.

...
“GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH”
Ramiel woke sweating all over. His hands were shaking, his breath heavy, and there was definite fear on his face. It was all a dream, a dream of dead beggars. Ramiel, despite being all fine suffered trauma when he saw the beggars being slaughtered in front of him.
He remembered it all. From the time they got beheaded, slit in the throat, stab in the gut, and their limbs being cut! He found the experience horrifying and once in a while, he would experience this kind of nightmare. Ramiel’s trauma is due to being a person of the modern world. Most people here would have a bit of resistance, but he doesn’t have that resistance for he was a sheltered young man.
He saw some gore in his life through the internet but seeing the real deal is obviously not the same. Ramiel calmed himself down, the turmoil in his head, still not appeased. He planted his foot on the floor; he walked out of his room, and went to the kitchen where he could get some water. Grabbing some water, and drinking it, Ramiel finally was able to calm down. He sat on the floor, grabs his head and opened his eyes widely to suppress the dream that he saw. He felt that his mind suffered a big deal, and he know that he doesn’t have that mind of steel or the iron stomach.
Good lord, please let me forget all of this.
He prayed inside his heart that such visions would go away. But even with that prayer, the trauma Ramiel got wouldn’t go that easily. He is a normal person, and because of that, he just can’t suddenly act like nothing happen. No sane man would be okay with slaughter and mass murder.
He saw it I front of his eyes. So forgetting it won’t be that easy.
Ramiel despaired at the thought. He grabbed his head in worry, and as he does. Felli who just woke up entered the kitchen and saw Ramiel moping around. She tilted her head, and when she peeks at his face. She saw of a man who has seen something horrible. She thought for a while and remembered the event in the slums. Most of the beggars in the slums were killed, and somehow Felli deduced that he saw how they got killed, and how he managed to survive that ordeal.
How do I calm him? She thought, and then an idea popped up to her head. She took something out from the storage, and then sat in front of him. Ramiel finally noticed her and when he tilted his head in question. Felli shoved a piece of fruit inside his mouth. Ramiel jumped back a bit and felt the fruit stuck on his mouth. Felli helped him out, and when things calm down. Ramiel took a bit of the fruit while staring down the floor.
“You got it hard huh?” said Felli. “But don’t worry...it will be all fine as long as you keep on living.”
Ramie did not understand. But he felt that she was showing kindness. So he nodded his head, and continued eating the fruit in silence...
