Chapter 195 – Time Waits for No One
----------------------------------------
Ramiel slept quite great, he woke up, took care of his body before heading out. He wore a tricorn hat this time, which he bought along the way because it was cheap. Ramiel felt like spending money, after all, he won’t need it for long. The sun was up, Ramiel uses the tricorn hat to shield himself. The boat going to the city of Tal would leave sooner or later. So Ramiel walked around the market, buying some things to use while riding on a steam galleon ship.
During the night Ramiel decided to go back to that place. That place was a real mess but it made an impression on Ramiel. Not because of the place, but the tree there that he once smoke a blunt in. Honestly, that place didn’t have any good memories, but that great place alone was enough for Ramiel to go back to it. Plus there was this feeling that he wanted to go back to the place where all of this mess started.
Ramiel walked along the streets. While walking he felt a strange mood around the city. So he Ramiel talked to one of the citizens. It seems that there are people going on about, looking for someone. Ramiel didn’t want to get involved so he immediately went to the harbor and talked to the sailor that books the trip to Tal. The sailor was quite stingy about the prices. Luckily, Ramiel only wanted a simple cabin. He paid for the room. Climbed up the steam galleon ship and stayed on the rails of the ship. He looked at the fine city of Sardis for a while. He seems to be remembering something but with his memories jumbled. He just could not remember at all.
“This place seems familiar, especially that villa there.”
Ramiel looked at the place where the sands and the little dock felt familiar. He felt like his memories were fond of that place, yet he wasn’t able to remember at all. Ramiel decided to shrug the memories off. He wanted to keep himself calm and not regret anything. Cowardly it may be to face the truth, Ramiel wanted to have the peace of mind at the time of his death. So he turned his face away from that little dock and sat near the rails. He refilled his gourd of wine already, so he sat, drank until he was feeling floaty.
The ship that he was riding started moving. Ramiel heard the loud honk and the saw the smoke coming out of the chimney. A red flush appeared on his cheeks; standing, Ramiel stood up and watched as the galleon steam ship moved away from the docks.
“Man, I feel like I am really back to my world partly.”
He said in a jest. He turned his eyes at the little dock that he refused to look at. In there, he saw two people taking a practice at the sea. He recognized the long eared one; she was the one that he bumped yesterday. And the other one was...

“Whoa...”
She was beautiful beyond any doubt. Her white blonde hair, her long ears, her figure and her skin made her absolutely stunning. She was mellow, and there was a strange aura of hers that makes her charming.
“Ah, I wish I could have someone like that.”
Ramiel felt his heart ache. He felt like that he never loved someone other than-...His thoughts freeze. Somehow he saw an image of a person that was crying. He then saw himself burning his body up, trying to reach that person’s hand. And then the vision ended with him falling down an empty abyss.
“Ah...truly...I guess time really passes by quickly doesn’t it?”
Ramiel wasn’t a fool. He knows just by looking that the long eared girl was her grandchildren. He even heard her say that loud.
“Ah...maybe I should have accepted her offer?”
Sighs keep coming out of his mouth. Really, he shouldn’t have looked at the dock, now he is heartbroken. Ramiel felt shit, but somehow looking at the happy figure of the two made Ramiel happy. Ah, he will never be that happy but at least his light of hope is.
“Goodbye Peronell...”
A smile appeared on Ramiel’s face. An honest generous smile that he usually doesn’t do any more after getting into this world, a hundred-year-old smile that hasn’t bloomed for a while.
...
Peronell was quite dazed about what she heard from her granddaughter but never really paid attention to it. She searched for years and never found Ramiel. So, in the end, she gave up. That is why remembering about him opens wounds on her heart.
“I told you to supervise your hawkish vision well!”
“But Grandma...”
She was harsh at the moment. But even so, she showed her granddaughter how to use the hawkish vision and made her look as she points to the steam galleon ship from the distance.
“Ah...
Her face froze. Her composure destroyed. What she was a familiar figure that once saved her a long time ago, the lonely figure that fell down the abyss, which saved her from the girdled undead dragon, many years ago without even a hint of hesitation. She could never forget that face and that lonely smile he had as long as she lives. She could never mistake it so seeing Ramie, smiling, as if he was happy for him, made Peronell...stunned.
“Ah...please don’t go!”
Peronell shouted but the steamed galleon ship was already far away. At the end of the docks, she stared listlessly, tears running down her cheeks. If the boat was a bit closer she could probably rush using one of her abilities. But with the boat floating away, becoming nothing but a blur on the horizon. Peronell, who wanted to thank Ramiel for saving her, cried. She cried, simply because she was sad. Her heart broke, kneeling, she cried and was saddened on how could she missed despite it being so long already.
