Chapter 26 - Fateless Curse

Chapter 26 - Fateless Curse

----------------------------------------

Fates sometimes intertwined.

And when those fates intertwined they bring some changes.

Not that noticeable but there are still changes.

Of course when one's fate is too big, the meager fate less, that tries to interact wouldn't be able to move the fate that someone's fate.

For example, the bloody caravaneer's intertwines with a certain reaper and war maiden's fate. So when the fateless mute meets the bloody caravaneer, nothing really changed. The same thing can be said towards the golden haired woman who serves the Matriarch.

She should have her fate intertwined the moment she gave the cloak to the fateless mute. But since the Matriarch, whose fate is connected to the Reaper. The golden haired woman who's fate intertwines with the Matriarch, the War Maiden, could not intertwine with the fateless mute.

So when the Fateless mute met someone far different from the four who's fate is just too big to the world. They would certainly intertwine.

The Cursed Scribe, who ordered the Fateless mute to take the special flower for her corundum, has her fate intertwined with the Fateless Mute.

The Fateless Mute does not have any 'fate' in this world.

His fate has ended in his own world.

So when he meet the Cursed Scribe, her fate intertwined with him. Usually, there would be small changes that would happen but the Curse Scribe is someone that has a bit of a curse in her. The curse that makes her leg looked like a black wooden tree. That mark on her leg, caused creatures to be attracted to her, and since her curse is rather troublesome. And usually those who fetches for her often dies.

It is not because they got unlucky.

It is because the curse that the Cursed Scribe possesses simply is something infectious.

No one dares to tell the curse to the fetched.

Not even the Cursed Scribe's Servant would have the heart to tell the fetchers what curse they would encounter. After all, the cursed scribe's role is to make a compendium for the items she makes others fetch. She can locate such items, which is her ability and cursed at the same time.

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

It is fate to be the scribe of those items. A curse created by her ancestors that would allow them to be the 'librarian' of the alchemists, the healers, and the magicians. A fate that those who created thought would be an honor for the family. But now, it is merely a cruel role of fate that forces those who are involved in facing such dangers.

And for the Fateless Mute whose fate is rather blank. The curse role, attached to him as he touches the special flower detected by the cursed scribe.

The Curse is rather infectious, and now it haunts the Fateless Mute the moment he picked it up. He never knows anything about all of the threads or the roles that fate placed upon the people he got drawn to. But even so, the Mute who first begged his first month in the world just stepped on a landmine.

That Landmine is a creature known as a Dire Wolf.

That Dire wolf now turns its eyes towards Ramiel.

Ramiel, who thought it would all be easy suddenly, felt the chill coming from the dire wolf. He looked around and scanned his surroundings. He saw nothing first, but as he takes the flower he was told to pick into his bag, the Chill that the eyes of the dire wolf suddenly just vanished.

Ramiel didn't know what was that all about but as he continued walking out of the forest. He felt those chills, appearing and disappearing. His guts told him to run, so Ramiel ran through the forest while keeping an eye everywhere. While he runs, suddenly a four feet tall creature appeared from the shadows. It is the dire wolf, who was tailing him. And now that Ramiel is slowly getting out of the forest.

The Dire Wolf has decided to end the hunt.

It runs towards Ramiel with a terrifying speed.

Ramiel who saw the Dire Wolf's fang shivered.

He ran faster, his breath became more ragged as he continued to run.

What I should do!

Ramiel panicked inwardly.

The Dire wolf is getting close to him.

Any second and he would be caught by the dire wolf.

Shit!Shit!Shit!

Ramiel saw the Dire Wolf ready to pounce at him.

Ramiel then panicked as he rolled to the left.

The Dire Wolf missed Ramiel but it was ready to leap at him again. Ramiel searched his head and pulled his camera. He then ran faster, and when the dire wolf was about to bite him in the neck, he used the camera's flash to blind the Dire Wolf's sensitive eyes.

The Dire wolf got stunned by the camera's flash.

Using the chance, Ramiel took out his dagger and stab the Dire Wolf in the neck.

It injured the Dire Wolf, but it didn't kill it. But that was enough for Ramiel to use as a chance to sprint away from the Dire Wolf. He left his dagger behind so that the Dire Wolf has to trouble itself in pulling out the dagger.

Ramiel felt like his heart would explode.

The fear and pressure of the dire almost made him wet himself.

I need to get out now! I am fucked if I don't escape! Fuck Run me! Run!

He urged himself to run faster. His legs are shaking, and his arms are paralyzed from the fear. But Ramiel, whose flight or fight response functioned in the right time, manage to ignore the pain from running and went straight out of the forest.

Outside the forest, Ramiel slowed down a bit. He looked around and saw that Dire Wolf isn't chasing. He made a sigh, and turn towards the Town of Tal.

For now, he really wants to get inside the town.
