Chapter 128 – Worrying Feint
----------------------------------------
Ramiel went back bathed in blood, the guards in the gates look shocked and then scream at him on what happened to Raul. He explains how this scrofus creature attacked them and how it is now dead, thus hauling them would be great. Hearing Ramiel the guard told him to the well to take a rest or at least wash himself up.
“Fucking Gobs...”
Ramiel spat out in anger. When he was walking back to the village he encountered a group of goblins. These goblins numbered about six, it made Ramiel overcast himself dealing with the bunch of gobs. He was quite tired, and the way he had to kill them was quite brutal.
The blood on him was partly his and the goblins. He stabbed the goblins quite a lot with his shortsword so it was obvious that blood would splatter on him. Ramiel sat near the well, he took a bucket, took some water and was about to wash himself.
“I look really bloody.”
Ramiel said. He looked at the reflection of his in the bucket. His face looked rougher and a bit sharper now. Unlike his flabby face back days, Ramiel thought that his jaw line finally showed himself. His cheeks weren’t that fat anymore, probably because how little he has to eat in this world. Along with the tedious carrying around of items and weapons, it could be said that he is finally getting that exercise.
“Cousin would be proud.”
Ramiel said that under his breath. Suddenly he found himself leaning on the well idly. Blood is still all over him, the folks could see him but he didn’t really care since it was already known how eccentric he can be. The village is small so words travel fast.
The people here treat each one like family. Hence, despite not being related by blood, everyone recognizes others as a cousin or even brothers. In their eyes, Ramiel was family, a weird part of the family. Ramiel wasn’t that against their view at him, in fact, he didn’t really care.
“I should really wash myself.”
Ramiel said while still leaning on the well. His limbs not moving, his eyes vacant and breathing slightly rough, his ears hurting, his side of the face a bit numb, Ramiel was in a state of shock. He was rather fatigued he could not move a finger thus making him very sleepy.
He is in a state of mind exhaustion, all of his veins bulging in strain. Ramiel overcast his spells, and since there was no way for him to move, he didn’t even touch the bucket of water, he gathered from the well. He just rested at the side of the well, idling as his consciousness drifts away from him.
Ramiel went to sleep still covered in blood. The guards that he was talking with looked at him, they saw how seemingly tired he was when arrived, so, for now, they let Ramiel stay asleep near the well.
The wind blew from the sea.
The children of the village ran along and took a glance at Ramiel before going back to their work. It was not an unusual for them to see a bloodied man, and the guards were gesturing them not to bother him so they didn’t.

...
Peronell and Abby arrive from their task. The guards greeted them as they then proceed to travel with a cart. The two wondered what that was for but they just entered the gates of the village. The first thing they saw was the bloody figure of Ramiel leaning on the well.
The two widened their eyes in surprise. Abby took a step back, she was quite shocked at the horrible state Ramiel was and rush along with Peronell.
Ramiel wasn’t moving.
His breathing was quite undetectable.
This made Peronell’s heart thump widely in fear. She casted her own healing spell, but Abby took over and casted greater heal on him. There was no reaction, Ramiel stood still in silence, and as she was a bit scared and exhausted too. Peronell started shaking Ramiel, only to see no reaction.
“Could he be?” Abby said.
Peronell was about to tear up.
Checking pulses was still not a thing in this world.
So they didn’t know what happened to Ramiel. Abby was about to state what she deduced, but Ramiel opened his eyes, saw the almost tearing up Peronell and said lightly.
“Hello?”
“You are not dead!”
“I am sorry?”
Ramiel tilted his head.
“I am not dead, I am just resting, what the hell would you think that I was dead?”
“Because you were not moving?” Abby replied.
“Did you even check my pulse?”
“Pulse?”
“Touch my wrist, and the side of the neck, right at the veins, you could feel a bit of thumping that signifies one is alive without checking his heartbeat...” Ramiel demonstrated.
Abby got surprised, “This is a strange method.”
“What the hell,” Ramiel said.
“You...” Peronell looked at Ramiel with a bit of disgust.
“What?”
“Why are sitting on the well, covered in blood?”
“Goblin’s blood, I already healed myself and was about to wash myself but well as you can see I fall asleep due to exhaustion. Sorry about that.”
“You are weird,” Peronell said.
“Were you worried?”
“A bit, got a problem with that?” Peronell said defiantly.
She then walked away from Ramiel stomping her feet hard. Ramiel didn’t know what she was mad about and seeing this. Abby took the bucket of water on Ramiel’s side and poured it on him.
“You know, at least wash yourself...Peronell came from the dungeon continent, and you should know that she lost a lot of people from the village there. So please be careful next time, and even if you are tired, at least wiped the blood off you.”
“Sorry...” Ramiel said.
“That’s good, I will try to appease Peronell for you, just do not do that again, it reminds her of the troubles she encountered in the dungeon.”
Saying that Abby bid Ramiel goodbye, he stayed still on the well for a bit, before washing himself up. He did something troublesome today, and Ramiel can only sigh wearily at his own damn faults.
