Chapter 123 – The Ticking Clock of the End
----------------------------------------
In the dark elven lands, a lone figure stood unwavering, with eyes wide open and hair covered in blood. This lone figure was out of breath, out of strength. His will alone made this figure survive the hordes of enemies that came after him, his name is Julian Nostredame.
Julian has been fighting for so many days now. He could not raise a finger on how and why he persisted to survive this long, and even with his unbending will, there still doubts that would trouble him.
“Know this you will not be able to stop fighting.”
A voice sounded out as a green-robed figure appeared in front of him. Looking at the ghostly existence, Julian could not help but struggle to listen to this being.
“Know this that once you have taken the role, you will not be able to stop.”
“Know this that the moment you took the brand and the power of a Nephilim from me you won’t be able to stop carrying the world’s weight.”
“Know this, as a guardian of this realm you will not fall. You will act like a normal human being, but you are far different from them, you are a heroic being that will protect this land. For failing here, will only result in the catastrophe that will descend upon the whole world, resulting in days of darkness, which will not quell until you find yourself victorious from this ordeal that you are given, so that is why you must not fail here.”
Julian’s eyes burned as he hears the green robed man, the Nephilim who gave him strength and power to stand against hordes of abominations unfathomable to normal beings. This ghostly existence has been guiding Julian ever since the day he took the Nephilim’s everything. Merely a fragment of thought, this Nephilim has appeared only to help Julian in his times of despair.
Julian at the moment is battered, beaten, weakened and extremely tortured. His arms that could endure a thousand sword strikes broke, his legs that allow him to run faster than light shattered, making him helpless to move until his regeneration kicks it.
Fighting astral demons, killing grotesque cosmic horrors far from humanoid imagination made Julian this beaten. It took him time to kill them all, it cost him injuries, but not to the point that he would have died. Julian can take a lot of beating as long as his soul is uninjured, and with his soul unaffected, Julian will always be able to get up and fight.
But at the moment, his regeneration was partly crippled, it would work sooner or later but with the Nephilim still, with him, it meant only that Julian would have to wait for a long time. He killed everything in these dark elven lands, Meia also retreated, and it could be said that this was his time of peace.

His surrounded by a thousand corpses, he is bathed in blood and his black hair who with continuous regeneration, started turning white.
Julian is tired and until his regeneration kicks in, he would have to stay reclined in a hill of corpses.
...
Julian finally had his regeneration kicked in. He was fine, but his hair was no longer the same black now. It was due to overuse of his regeneration that it became that way. The stress also added to the part and continuous exposure to cosmic beings also had a big effect.
Julian stared at the darkened sky. The moon had longed ceased to lose its crimson dye, it has now the color of the abyss, giving minimal light compared to when it was fully colored in blood. The area around Julian was naturally filled with corpses, their blood seeps through the land, slowly coloring the land in red.
With the cosmic beings blood dripping, the land will be eternally tainted. The Dark elvens that have lived her have probably died, and only those who are outside the lands will ever able to continue living. This land is dead there is no hope here other than Julian.
And even he can only hold back these creatures. His mana is enormous to sustain the land’s barrier that prevents the monsters from going outside. The moment Julian loses, the moment the barrier he created disappears is the moment the horde of demons, beasts, abominations and cosmic beings will asunder the world.
Julian is strong, absurdly strong, but even is only at the level of a demi-god. As he is not all powerful, he can only kill those he could see. For the past days, he has to kill a thousand. But since the cosmic beings started getting summoned, he was starting to get thrown around, beaten and his kill count is getting lesser.
He could feel the monsters trying to smash the barriers he placed, even the Nephilim in front of him, that stands as only a ghostly existence warns him that:
“Know this, the world will turn dark, the sun will be blocked, the moon will turn black, the sky covered in monochrome, and the evil among the land would become greater. So stand up the bearer of the name Nostredame, for you who have suffered under the trial of a dungeon, and as a sufferer who chose to usurp my powers, you shall stand, and you shall fight and prevent the monsters here from taking the lands that you love. For you will lose everything if you don’t undoubted with the hatred that the demoness have for you.”
“No need to say that really.”
Julian understands completely what his goal is here. Kill all the monsters, and make them bleed. That was his sole purpose now, and despite the overwhelming odds, his unbending will, his volition to continue standing up against the impossible made Julian as strong as ever.
So with nothing but a conjured sword, Julian yet again stared at the cosmic beings that pours out of a hole that the demoness opened, seeing these unfathomable beings, Julian can only grit his teeth and rushed to them, with the intent to massacre all of them again, over and over again until it is done.
The Clocks Ticks as the world's fate rest at the hands of Julian.
Wil hel be the Hero that will save all or be it's tired Reaper that did his best?
