Chapter 190 – Returning Roles
----------------------------------------
Light unleashes upon the Island of Fernery. Not only has this light consisted of Mefinami’s light. It includes the God’s light. A blessing to the awakened Hero who has chosen to split his body to wander the world. This body lost the memories but it didn’t lose the skills, the abilities of the original. The Carnifex once stood strong against the higher being. Trapping their souls in a seal that would chain them to his soul. Using his soul for fifty years, while enduring the tainting of the void made the Hero once known as Carnifex, almost lose his will. So in order to regain his willpower, he separated his body, and let the other body wander, gather more power and knowledge. But at the event of the splitting, his body acquired the memories of an old soul from the age of 80’s in the other world. This memory of the old soul was that of a soldier who boasted his skills in the battlefield. But in one ocean trip, that soldier died, drowning in the ocean. His soul went to the afterlife, while his memories became fragmented and collided with the soul of the Carnifex, making him lose his memories.
But even with that. The Carnifex managed to restore his memories. Although, he had hesitation to get his memories after falling in love with one of the villagers of the island of Fernery, Elena, he still abandoned his new found name and took the name Julian Nostredame back to face the possessed Mistress of the Island, Pandora, who is now being controlled by the Demoness he faced in the dark elven lands, Meia.
Without having any choice, Julian battled the possessed Pandora with all of his strength. And as he does, the divine light, the God’s light above showed them their blessing, further branding him the qualities of the world’s current Hero. Julian could feel his body invigorated with more power than ever, and because of that, he was able to discard the attacks of the Demoness with ease. At the same time, he raised barrier made of pure God’s light around the Island of Fernery, making it impenetrable to any attacks. With the island protected, Julian unleashed his conjured sword upon the possessed Pandora. Although his sword can cut through anything, he configured it only to hit the soul that controls Pandora. So every strike he did damages the Demoness while ignoring Pandora’s flesh and soul.
The battle rages on. Every strike split the heavens, almost shattering the barrier the four shrines of the Fernery Territory have. This barrier held on, but as the battle grows harsher, the four shrines summoned up the original Ymir Golem and have it interfere with the two. Julian was surprised at Ymir’s appearance but did not mind it as he lets it grab Pandora. Allow him to strike a fatal blow at the soul of the demoness, dispersing her soul back to the void into pieces.

The battle was over. And as Julian free falls back to the ground. He looked at the blonde-haired figure that he recently came to love.
...
Grom, no, Ramiel awoke from a long bad dream. He suffered for years, and only till now that he could open his eyes. And as he opens it, he saw Julian Nostredame falling in front of Elena gracefully. He recognized Julian obviously, after all, he could not forget the time he handed him his stuff, back when he was still working at Felli’s Inn. So the moment he saw him when he got temporarily control of his body, he called for help. And indeed, Julian Nostredame saved him from despair. So, right now Ramiel just stood up basking in the light.
He could feel the curses on him disappear completely. And as the curses disappear, Ramiel knew that his life is now slowly ticking to twelve. The curse has kept him alive forcefully, because of this, he could feel that he has a short time to live. Ramiel accepted this. Oddly, it seems that he truly was a hound dog looking for a place to die.
“Ah...”
Ramiel took a deep breath. He felt pain on his right leg, his right wrist was also stiff, and he could barely move it. It pains Ramiel, but he accepted it faster than usual. A hundred years of lifetime, watching it pass away that easily made Ramiel feel misfortunate. He didn’t complain that he was able to live and see most of the kids he cared for in the island grow up. It was a bliss. But he complained that he wasn’t able to see himself being truly satisfied. It pains him. And even his light of hope has now moved on.
Time waits for no one. Ramiel completely agrees with that. And now, he can only feel empty, and his wish right now was to find a place to die. Ramiel saw Julian embrace Elena, standing far he noticed how Julian started to promise a vow to Elena. Ramiel already knew that Elena won’t just hate him because of his true nature. In fact, the moment he saw Julian embrace Elena, he knew that she accepted him.
Ramiel felt jealous at the happiness that the gloomy reaper possesses. And seeing this Reaper, take a vow, as the arch-dragon of the Island, who appeared out of a magic circle, carrying Pandora stood in front of the two. With the arc dragon's blessing, the two were married.
Quite as hasty marriage, but Ramiel somehow understood Julian. This man was far better than him, so for the sake of Elena, Julian Nostredame would surely save the world from the Sanctus curse. Ramie believes him, and seeing Julian float above, planning to save the world. Ramiel felt like he was some side character in a story.
Ramiel was indeed only a side character in this short event. So he can only smile. He then turned his eyes to Pandora, who is now in the hands off the arc-dragon of the island. He didn’t hate Pandora for being desperate to see the person she loves. But even so, suffering for years made Ramiel want no affiliation with her. He wasn’t that saintly, and he wasn’t a fool who thinks he could take her on.
That is why. Ramiel as he was, decided to leave the ruins while limping. Back to normal, Ramiel started his walk again.
