Chapter 189 – Journal Entry Last: End of the Facade

----------------------------------------

I don’t want to fight anymore. I don’t want to raise my arms and kill someone. I forbid myself to do that because I do so then I would be assuming back to what I was before taking the name of Ramiel. That is why, as the merciless hand of the possessed Pandora grabs my head, slams it into a wall. I only grunted. I tried to restrain her but the possessed Pandora was strong enough to fling me away like a ragdoll.

“Ah, truly a half demonic body is great. It fits my body that you destroyed. How come you aren’t fighting my dear?”

I didn’t answer her inquiry and just tried to grapple her. But she was fast, and quick to grab me again and slam me to the wall. I felt my body hurt a bit, but it didn’t stop me from standing up. I raise my arms trying to defend but the possessed Pandora continued her barrage. I felt my arms creak but it didn’t break me at all. I was sturdy, and the more I get hit by this familiar demoness, that I became much stronger, slowly regaining everything. But even so, I refused them all. I only wanted to become a farmer, not a bloody Hero.

“Fight me, my dear! At this rate, this ruin will collapse and that pitiful man there and the island will surely fall.”

“I will stop you...”

I rushed at the possessed Pandora and tried to grapple her again. She merely takes a step aside and kicked me to the gut. I didn’t feel any major pain, but it was still enough to make me grit my teeth. She kicks me away from her, and with a bored expression, she said.

“Trying to grapple me again, it is useless, and really, you can better than that my butcher.”

“I won’t fight again...”

I said that while preparing to grab her again. I rushed with stride faster than normal, yet my hands were caught again. Using her shoulder, she threw me to ground, making a crater appear. Each blow of hers would shake the ruins. If I was a normal human then I would have died four times already. She didn’t stop punching me, her face filled with euphoria, as I don’t fight back. I continued receiving her blows until she finally grabs my collar, and slammed me again to the walls.

“How boring...for you not to fight back...”

“I won’t fight you, but I will stop you somehow.”

I rushed again but this time with a fast feint. She fell for it, and because of that, I was able to grab on to her and put her on a lock. She struggled, she laughed, and as she does, a white aura exploded around her body, pushing me away four rooms away from the chamber. The aura of hers was quite strong, but it didn’t hurt me. She stood up, her robe was quite ragged, and her smile ever so twisted.

“Let Pandora go already.”

“And what are you going to do about it?”

“I will stop you.”

“THEN FIGHT.”

The Possessed Pandora shouted. Her body glowed to an intense level and I could see her spawning beams of lights towards me. I raised my arms again; I deflected the energy of hers easily. It was so easy to do it mainly because I was sturdy. I begged my heart that I could resist, so with that in mind, I rushed at Pandora, grab her arms, and tried to make her fall asleep. She wouldn’t have any of it, however, and then use that method again to blast me away. My coat tattered; I could feel that my clothes were slowly being ragged. Pandora didn’t stop, she casted four magic circles at me, and slam me down.

“What a useful skill!”

Saying that I was tossed around by an invisible hand. I didn’t raise my fist, I didn’t swing and only tried to grab her with vain. It was stupid, utterly stupid and idiotic for me to do this. She wanted me to lose control, and revert back to who I was before taking the name Ramiel. I didn’t want to do it, and because of that, my will was lacking.

Eventually, her blows kept getting stronger. The ruins were utterly destroyed and I found myself outside of the ruins, staring at the sky. The possessed Pandora floated, her ever continuing beams of light pinned me down. I didn’t move, moving and trying to grab her was useless. I didn’t want to fight, it was stupid but I have my pride. I only wanted to a farmer, I want to be normal yet somehow I am facing this possessed arch-sorceress that is stronger than the normal mages. With the demoness blue witch possessing her, and Pandora’s constitution they proved to be stronger than I believe anyone. But even with that, they could not harm me, my body; my soul was far stronger than anything. If I lay down her, then I would probably be buried.

“FIGHT BUTCHER, FIGHT OR ELSE!”

She continued blasting me. I didn’t listen to her. My heart felt empty, and my will was unmoving. I stared at Pandora, stared as her power rages on. I thought that it would continue but a cannon-like shot sounded out and hit her right on the sides. I looked at the source, only to see Elena, riding on top of an eight-foot Golem, her face was resolute, and there was no fear in her eyes.

“YOU DARE! DIE YOU THIEVING CAT!”

The demoness surely recognized Elena. And seeing that deadly light fire upon her, my hesitation immediately vanished, my body moved on its own, and I could feel my power returning back to full force. I could bear seeing her die like that, despite my wanting, despite the one thing that I craved for, which is normality. I couldn’t let Elena die just like that. So without any thinking, I felt my body surged with power, I vanish from where I was standing, stood in front of Elena, and defended her from Pandora’s attack.

“HA HA HA HA...Are you going to fight now my butcher.”

“Ramiel?”

Elena spoke, not knowing anything.

I stood silently before looking at her for one last time. After that, I turned towards the demoness possessing Pandora, answering:

“Yes, to save the world from you...then I have no choice but to kill you.”

With that declaration, I abandoned the name Ramiel.

Summoning up my conjured sword, I pointed it at the possessed Pandora, with the will and volition to stop her.

Right now, I was just a Reaper.
