Chapter 185 – Journal Entry 35: Pandora’s Ballad 5

I woke up feeling chilly. When I look at the blanket, I notice there were red stains on it. I feel lost for a second, but then I smelled the feminine smell in the air. Glancing on my side, I saw Elena sleeping without her clothes, only covered with a blanket. She was sweaty, and I could still hear her rather wearied breathing. In the floor, I could see clothes, specifically my clothes and hers.
I was naked, she was naked. I somehow felt refreshed yet at the same time I felt ashamed. I told her that I wouldn’t try anything yet here we are, sharing the same bed in our birthday suit. All I remember was that we were drinking heavily, and then somewhere along the line we started flirting and ended up in bed.

The small voice of her surprised me. I looked at her widened eyes. She glances at me, looking at my face, then to my stomach. Her face brightened, and she jumped back, holding her blanket over.

She was out of words. She was embarrassed, and even I could tell that she was starting to remember what happened. I didn’t know what to say. I just stared at her awkwardly, trying to gauge the situation. Elena was red, she, like I wasn’t able to talk properly. She looked down at her crotch, and she seems to have noticed too. “Really...we could just forget about this...”
“No, what if you get pregnant?”

She was stuttering, unable to find her words. I held Elena’s hand. I looked her straight in the eye.
“Please marry me...I am not the kind of man that will not take responsibility. And sleeping with you then just forgetting about it makes me feel awful.”

Elena was embarrassed, but even so, I have the feeling she didn’t really hate it.
After that, Elena became my lover. She begrudgingly accepted at first, but in the end, she started to accept as if she was willing to try. She was quite smug about, and as we dress up she was complaining, trying to make me feel guilty. In retaliation, I would speak of lewd things to her, which would turn the rather not so pure anymore Elena embarrassed. It took us quite a while, but after finishing we bid goodbye for now.
Somehow seeing Elena leave, telling me to see her again made me skip a beat. To think that in just mere days, I would fall in love with her. I went to work. I plowed my fields again and took care of the crops. As I did I saw the earthen mates surveying the land, I greeted them, wondered what they are up to.
“We are checking if there are more warp gates, be careful.”
After telling me that, they left on patrol. I continued working until after noon, and as I sat near the fields, I saw Elena in the distance walking towards me along with her brother. I stood up and greeted them both. James looked at me icily, he then put his arms around my shoulder and started talking about how his sister. He wanted to be straight and asked me if I truly have affection for his sister. I told him that I do, and only explaining it for a bit that her brother lets go of me, and told me to take care of her sister. He left just like that, leaving me and Elena alone in the fields. I looked at the Elena, she was quite fidgeting with her hair, and because of that I could not help but stand in front of her, kneel on my knee, and grab her right hand. While kneeling, I said.
“Will you marry me?”
She widened her eyes for a moment. She tilted her head to the right, smiling as she says.
“Yes, I will.”
Hearing her put a smile on my face. I stood up, embraced her and promised her that I will be good. It was quite fast, I know, but even so with the world supposedly ending, I can’t help but find a pillar to support me.
