Side Chapter: The Einharts Outing

“It has been two months since your last visit. I’m glad that you found the time to hang out with us again Reysha.” Ersha said with a slight smile as she trudges beside Reysha.

“How was the dress that I picked for you, wonderful right?” Ersha asked delightfully as she skips and bounces up and down with every panel of the concrete ground.

“It’s not like I don’t like this kind of dresses, in fact, I do find it cute and easy to move but, I feel a little exposed…” Reysha said as she walks meekly, being sandwiched by her two older sisters.

The Grand Capital of Kerias, a city bustling with life as the busy street filled with traffic has people here and there. Since it is a city where most aspiring magicians comes, items such as runes, magical stones, scrolls and potions, and even magical artifact are said to be found.

The reason Kerias values strength more is because it is a city that has the highest toll of crime for the reason magic is easily accessed, thus, criminals have a wider range of ploy to use. That is also the reason it is heavily guarded by people such as Ersha Einhart, the Kingdom’s most powerful knight, or so anyone knows.

At the heart of the whole capital is the Sage Wisdom Academy where magic is being taught to those who have potentials. Its sole purpose is to guide aspiring magicians to the right path and to ensure that none of them will use it for their own gain.

At the top of the apex would be a grandmaster of magic. Yrsha Einhart is an instructor in that academy with specialization in dark arts and arcane magic which she initially learned from Aspara.

Strikingly, Ersha and Yrsha are extremely famous people in the Capital, or more, throughout the whole Kingdom or so.

And lastly, Reysha Einhart who is a top caliber adventurer who is famous throughout the kingdom too is the one considered to be the Kingdom’s hidden weapon. No normal citizen would actually believe that the petite girl is a monster.

“In short, you don’t actually like it?” Yrsha asked as she stopped from her skipping.

“No…I mean…Ersha is still wearing her knight armor and you are wearing your Academy Robe…it makes me think why won’t you let me wear my regular clothes?” Reysha dubiously asked Yrsha who broke out in a grin.

“Well, don’t fret now. Even though it’s Sunday, I can’t still put down my armor and weapon. I was able to find a free time with you two but that doesn’t mean danger will recede.” Ersha explained to Reysha.

“Yeah, yeah! Reysha looks strikingly cute and adorable! Might as well have you dress like that for a special occasion! It’s a little bit sad that you dropped out of the academy because you are too strong so spend some more time with us.” Yrsha said as she put a straw hat on Reysha’s head.

“It kind of feels strange for someone like me to be constantly spoiled. I am somewhat eighty years old plus mentally…” Reysha inwardly thought as she fixes the straw hat that was put on haphazardly. “So, how are mother and father?” Reysha follows with a question.

“Mother’s health is improving lately. You might as well drop in later for her. For father…let him be.” Yrsha said as she shrugged with an impish smile.

“Well, let’s stop with the idle chat and proceed with our special time together.” Ersha beckons the two.

Since the three of them gathered in one place, it was inevitable that men and women would look in their way with amazement, awe, and even passion. Together with their walk, a strong breeze of wind suddenly wafts, blowing Reysha’s dress.

“Ah, my skirt…!” Reysha exclaimed as she tries to hold down the hem so her undies won’t be exposed.

Men who have their sight on Reysha and her sisters had their eyes popping as they anticipated a once-in-a-lifetime peek under the veil of the heaven.

However, their excitement was immediately washed away by a blood-curdling hostility as Ersha and Yrsha block their view towards Eden. Their lips say smile but their eyes say murder. The men immediately retreated away.

“What’s with these two…in the middle of the day throwing bloodlust at people…” Reysha can only think of.

As the trio walks in the middle of the city, looking at things to do, Yrsha suddenly stops at a specific storefront, a bookstore.

“What’s wrong Yrsha? Want to come inside?” Ersha asked.

“Well yeah, there’s this book that was recently released so I kind of wanted to get it now.” Yrsha said with a smile again and proceeded to enter the store.

With Yrsha on the lead, Reysha and Ersha also enter the store. What beholds them is a ton of bookcases with, of course, books on shelves. They saw Yrsha staring at book specifically, at the price of the book.

“Wow, it’s quite pricey but I think I can buy it now. I want to read this tonight too, however…I’d be losing my coins for snacks…” Yrsha inwardly thought to herself. Suddenly, her mind is filled with impish idea.

She then walks towards Ersha.

“H-Hey…Ersha…the book is…quite pricey and it’s a shame I forgot to bring some of my savings. Maybe I should just return here on another day…” Yrsha said with an extremely downhearted countenance.

“It’s your fault for being unprepared. For the family of Einhart, unpreparedness is our vain. You should always keep that in mind.” Ersha sternly scolded Yrsha.

“Uhh…” Yrsha whimpers as she looks down with some tears hanging in her eyelids.

“…It can’t be helped. Go get that book and I’ll pay it for you. Consider it as a present.” Ersha said without changing expression. However, deep inside Ersha, she was extremely glad and happy that her sisters are relying on her. Yrsha’s crestfallen countenance was too much for her to bear so she immediately gave in.

“Yay! I love you so much Ersha! Yay!!” Yrsha throws her hand up as she cheers for her new book. She then ran towards the book, grabbed it, and brought it to the store owner. Ersha approaches and immediately pay for the book. “Hehehe! Good thing Ersha is a softie!” Yrsha said in her mind.

What Yrsha and even Reysha don't know is that Ersha was actually keeping a separate set of spending coins for them, right straight out from her own wage. She is not obligated to but her sister’s smiles are one of the few things that make her happy.

Once again, as they left the bookstore, they walk in the city and looks at various fun things such as street performers, a fun scene of haggling between a buyer and seller, children running and playing.

And as such, one elderly woman offered Reysha a flower for free because she just looks pleasant in the eyes. Also along the way, Ersha were greeted by soldiers who are on duty and even captured a thief easily.

As they walk and walk, they stumbled upon another shop where this time, Reysha’s eyes were pulled.

“That’s…” Reysha said as she strides towards the store, a weapon shop. She approaches one of the displayed weapons showcased inside the glass of the store, a Warhammer.

“Reysha…you really never change. Why not do and pick something girlish?” Yrsha nonchalantly asked as she also looks at the Warhammer.

“Let her, it is what she wants anyway.” Ersha simply said.

“This price…I can buy this and I can even have some extra coins to spend…” Reysha thought to herself as she was about to take out her purse. “I still don’t have anything like this, with this price, I think I can…”

However, at that moment, she immediately felt something. Behind her, Ersha who is also standing, release a really excited feeling, a mixed of unrest and excitement. Reysha immediately knew what Ersha wanted and sighs inside her mind…

“Dear sister…I don’t have much on me right now…Will you lend me some?” Reysha said towards Ersha with an upturn eyes.

“Again, huh? As I said earlier, unpreparedness is the vain of Einhart family. Well, it can’t be helped. Go get it and I’ll pay for it. I am not lending you some coins, consider it as a present.” Ersha nonchalantly said again as she draws out her purse. However, Ersha’s heart beats so fast and she becomes so elated.

Thus, Reysha gains a Warhammer that later, she will use to bash Ivy’s flank and bring her to tears…

After procuring the Warhammer, the trio once again wanders in the city when suddenly…

RUMBLE.

“Aiee…it’s already snack time…” Yrsha said as she rubs her belly shyly.

“We can’t have that! You two should immediately eat, especially Reysha.” Ersha exclaimed as her eyes search for a place to eat.

“Why?!” Reysha could only say as Ersha pointed out that she needs to eat.

“Ersha, if we put more nutrition on Reysha she will grow bigger and taller, do you want that?!” Yrsha asked Ersha with a horrid expression.

Ersha looks at Reysha with widening eyes as she realizes it.

“…STARVE!” Ersha shouted.

“Why?!” Reysha once again shouted a question with a startled face.

“It’s a joke…don’t take it seriously Ersha. Reysha won’t grow anymore regardless of what you feed her.” Yrsha said towards Ersha.

“It’s not something I really wanted to hear from my own sisters though…” Reysha said inwardly with a little lament.

“Well since we are just looking to snack on, why not try that stall?” Yrsha said as she points out a stall who sells minced meat in a bun.

“Meat huh? I kind of want my blood pumping for a little longer. Then let’s get that.” Ersha said as she walks towards the stall, however, Ersha immediately pulled her shoulders.

“Why?” Ersha simply asked.

“Wait a minute. I’ve got this covered.” Yrsha said with another impish grin.

Yrsha approaches the stall, however, not the stall itself but a group of six people who are also eating the minced meat on a bun.

The people notice Yrsha and they all stand up and bows down.

“Professor Yrsha! It’s fine day seeing you here!” One man said who looks like in his mid-teens. It was quite a looker but for Reysha, compared to Falikh’s group, he is nothing more than a fly.

“Yeah, actually, I am spending time with my sisters right now.” Yrsha said as she pointed at Ersha and Reysha.

“Oh?! To see the whole Einhart sisters complete, this is a glorious day!” One man exclaimed as he looks at Reysha and Ersha from top to bottom.

“By the way, my little sister, Reysha, she was the one who dropped out of the academy.” Yrsha said with a smile. “Regardless, I won’t tolerate any…malicious…intentions okay?” Yrsha’s added with a weird paused on the word malicious.

“Y-Yes! We’re sorry for being rude! To make up for it, let us buy you some of this!” The leader like man said as he pointed at the stall.

“My, you’ll do that? I’m happy!” Yrsha said with another smile.

“Yes! Professor Yrsha’s smile is quite a treasure!” the man exclaimed as he proceeded to buy three of the minced meat buns and handed it to Yrsha.

“By the way, I still won’t hold back on the tests and exams. Bye! Thank for the treat!” Yrsha grins as she waves goodbye to her students.

“N-No way!” the group of six men grovels on the ground as Yrsha mercilessly squeezed them out of their coins.

Yrsha runs over to Reysha and Ersha with their snacks.

“Ehehehe, my students are so nice. Just put up a smile and they all go crazy!” Yrsha said with the very same smile she showed to her students.

“They seem to really like you.” Ersha could only mutter as she takes the snack.

“I hope she doesn’t do this again in front of me…I feel like Yrsha is a really scary and manipulative person.” Reysha could only think as she receives her snack from Yrsha.

“Then, let’s go to a special place as we eat!” Yrsha leads them as she happily munches on her free snack.

The special place that Yrsha mentions is actually at the outskirt of the city in which they have to pass a forest and then there, a mound of a hill with a huge tree sitting on it. The place is filled with flowers and greenery, however, only Yrsha knew how to get there.

Along the way, Ersha notices something about Reysha.

“Reysha…you sweating quite…a lot…” Ersha said while pulling out a handkerchief.

“Well…it’s really sunny today…” Reysha covered up the fact that she was running nonstop from the forest of the bandits up to the Kerias Kingdom Capital.

“Come here, let me wipe some of those. You might get sick so take a warm bath later okay?” Ersha suggested as she starts dabbing the handkerchief from Reysha’s forehead down towards her clavicle and then, to her chest.

As Ersha finishes, they continue their light walk with occasional talk and sisterly quarrel. After several minutes, they arrived at the place they Yrsha mentioned.

The three of them sits side-by-side with Reysha in the middle on the base of the large tree. In front of them behold endless field of beautiful flowers and prairie that extends up to the horizon. The blue sky with clouds that dances with the flow of the breeze are proven pleasant.

“Hey, Ersha, Reysha, do you mind if we hold hands like when we were young?” Yrsha asked as she extends her arms towards them.

“I see no problem about that.” Ersha said as she removes the metal gauntlet in her hands.

“Okay…” Reysha simply replied as she took Yrsha and Ersha’s hands.

“I kind of wanted to say this…you two really have small and smooth hands…almost fragile to hold.” Ersha said as she stares at Yrsha and Reysha’s hands.

“Well, look at you, your hands are…full of callous and look so rough but tough.” Yrsha said as she takes one of Ersha’s hands.

“It’s veiny too…” Reysha muttered as she gazes at Ersha’s hand that doubles the size of her own.

“Well, I used to train a lot when we were younger too. One thousand swings a day with my bare hand, after that, another one thousand swings with body enhancement.” Ersha said as if she was recalling the day.

“You are still doing it, right? The difference is you do ten thousands of each with inhuman speed.” Reysha pointed out.

“Yeah, the Einhart family’s pride and glory rests on my shoulder. I…am doing my best so that two of you can live freely. Not that I hate my job. Actually, it’s something that grew on me.” Ersha explained as she watches the clouds.

“Oh! So inspiring! Maybe I should start doing what you also did!” Yrsha said with determined eyes.

“Really?” Ersha asked.

“Yeah! One thousand pages of books a day, after that, I will read another one thousand of pages with body enhancement!” Yrsha said with a joking tone.

“Hahaha…Yrsha, you are really just better be off with magic.” Ersha suggested with a light chuckle. “As for Reysha…have fun with whatever you are doing now...” Ersha’s words didn’t reach Reysha…

“Sshh…she fell asleep.” Yrsha quietly said to Ersha as she pointed that Reysha fell asleep while their hands are still locked.

“Well, let’s spend the rest of the day here…” Ersha simply said as she leans her head backward, feeling the gentle breeze of the wind and the fragrant that it brings from the flower field.

“Yeah…when we get back in our each and own life again…it will hard to find…a quality time like this…” Yrsha muttered as her eyes become heavy from the pleasant atmosphere.

“It’s fine…take a nap too, Yrsha.” Ersha beckons Yrsha, however, she already found a comfortable sleeping spot on Reysha’s lap.

Ersha just simply broke out into a gentle smile as she saw Yrsha and Reysha sleeping together…

“You two…are my precious sisters regardless of anything…”
