Chapter 28: The Prideful Princess of the Breille Kingdom 1

“So, what do you say Miss Aspara?” Mika asked with a confident countenance to the flabbergasted Aspara.

“My ambition for a piece of perfume, I don’t think we are going to reach anything here.” However, Aspara didn’t budge. It was not as effective as Mika thought. Aspara returned to her feet and picked up the staff that she dropped from the ground. “Though the proposal was kind of attractive, I cannot let myself be swayed.” She added.

“Well, at least I tried!” Mika said inwardly as he raised his hands in defeat. Aspara is too smart and a logical person.

“That said though, I want to at least hear you out, Madam Le Fleur. You have a reason to do such thing I presume? What is the reason you are here?” Aspara also said in defeat as she lowers her guard and started walking towards a chair and had a seat. “Hearing you out and doing favor is two different matters so it wouldn’t hurt to know what your motivation for doing this.” Aspara followed as she beckons Mika to relax too.

Since there are no other options, Mika just lets out a tired but relieved sigh. Aspara was more than a seductress. Being a magician who delves her own self in a study, she is intelligent and wise than most people. That’s why she was able to take control of the war in her palms.

“Hearing what you are about to say, I may show interest or even give you a help on my own accord.” She assured Mika with a smile on her lips.

“Then…”

“Ahahaha! What in the world!? That’s too much fun for its own good!” Aspara exclaimed as her laughter bursts out.

“Right? Things like this often happen within our group.” Mika said with a relaxed countenance as their very own chat becomes a hearty talk.

“Madam, I am interested! If you really want to stop the war, then I will immediately stop it. Just promise me that one day, you will help me in defeating Demon Lord Ivy Hellbeing.” Aspara happily replied.

“Miss Aspara, why are you so hung up with magical knowledge and power? If it is not too much for you to answer…” Mika timidly asked the happy magician.

“Ah…that, huh? It will be only fair to share some of my secrets too now to you, Madam? I do trust you after hearing what you have to say.” She said as her eyes fell below with saddened expression.

“I…I am preparing to repel a prophecy. Before becoming a magician of this caliber, I always dreamt of becoming a hero…” it was deep and sullen emotions that covered Aspara’s face. “However, I am deemed to have no potential with weaponry, thus, I tried magic. This is where I found my talent, however, someone foretold me a prophecy.”

The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.

“Prophecy, huh…? What is it about?” Mika asked with curiosity looming over his eyes as he looked at the crestfallen magician.

“A prophecy that one day, a White Dragon with Divine Power will wreak havoc upon our land. If the prophecy were true, I want to me, Aspara, to defeat it and be deemed as the hero. But, in order for me to accomplish such thing, I need power, knowledge, and allies by my side, thus, I plan to get everything I can from the demon lord and fortify my skills and power.” She said as the spirit of courage and resolve seemingly manifested in her eyes.

“I am glad. Miss Aspara is not evil by root. She has ambitions of her own…however…” Mika thought to himself but still, something bothers him. “Miss Aspara, what if you didn’t like what I just told you?” Mika timidly asked again.

“Ah, the whole killing thing is just a threat…though violating you was really part of it. I’ll erase your memories of this night, thus killing you for this night.” She impishly explained.

“I AM GLAD THAT EVERYTHING TURNED OUT WELL!” Mika shouted inside his mind.

“Well, all that said, Maam Le Fleur…your comrades…didn’t come back for you it seems.” Aspara said with a complicated expression.

“I really can’t say anything about it…I know they are scums or they just trusted me that I will do something.” Mika resigned as she breathed out a tired sigh.

“Yeah, they haven’t left the castle premises so they might still be planning something. Why don’t we greet them?” She said haughtily and impishly.

Meanwhile, at the other kingdom, Breille, Hansen and his merry friend of bandits have already infiltrated the castle.

The Breille Kingdom Castle differs to Kerias as it was more commercialized and deemed a safe kingdom. Since the Breille Kingdom is known for its resources when it comes to food, usable wood stocks, large fields of harvestable wheat and rice, and furniture, even the castle itself have started economizing to suit their advantages over another kingdom.

It was the sole reason the Breille Kingdom forces are on standby in defensive stance because it gives its land more importance. The major advantage of Breille is when the battle turns into attriation or endurance.

They have lot of stockpiled consumable resources that could enable them to battle far longer than Kerias and Mesola Kingdom combined. It was one of the dominating and daunting traits of Breille’s force.

And because of such, the Royalty sees themselves as greater leaders than Kerias’ Royalties and Mesola’s Royalties. Their pride doesn’t come off as groundless, it was heavily backed by how prosperous their kingdom is.

And so, Hansen, Falikh’s right in command, his childhood friend, charges at the kingdom.

However, unlike with Prince Arytorio who was gullible and frightful, the princess, Meriyal Breille, stands in front of groveling Hansen with his head deeply touching the ground in the princess' very own room.

Princess Meriyal could be called a twilight within the boundless night sky as her silky ashen hair attracts attention and her red cherry eyes are enticing enough to turn your head towards her direction. Her body isn’t much notable of anything. She is simply slim and is modest, however, the air around her is dominating and fearless.

How could Prince Arytorio messed with such peerless woman?

Wearing her evening gown while holding a spear that she deeply planted on the ground beside her, she looks down at Hansen with pity.

“I can’t believe my very own fiance is begging on all fours in front of me…” She simply said towards the groveling Hansen.
