Chapter 40: It is I, Ivy! 2

“Why are you here?!” Reysha snarls at Falikh who just rode the joke with Ivy.

“Well, I saw you running here. I was taking a stroll in the forest when you run past me. Didn’t you notice me?” Falikh simply said with tilting smile that seems to taunt Reysha. “Also, that girl, she seems to be like me…a reincarnator.” He added.

“Huh? How did you know?!” Reysha looks at Ivy who is posing at the top of the tree.

“Hmm, you could say we have the common knowledge back from our world. That line earlier was definitely a reference to one of my favorite tv shows!” He asserted awhile taking another look at Ivy.

“He is right! I, Ivy, is a reincarnator with advance knowledge than all of you who needed to use staves and incantations for your magic! Guessing from how you perceived my lure earlier, you are either magically sensitive or you felt it because you are the same as me.” Ivy explained with confirmation.

Reysha closes her eyes as she rubs her temples. Another reincarnator other than her and Falikh appears. However, none of the people she knows have any idea that Reysha herself is a reincarnator. If there is one thing she knows about them, it is they are sure to bring more trouble worth of their knowledge…such as Falikh.

“Meaning to say…you came here to pick a fight?” Reysha asked just to be sure.

“Well, something like that I guess. It’s getting a little boring the castle so I need to stretch my wings. Also, I am here to take down the summoned hero.” Ivy reveals her true intention. “As such, from how you reacted, it seems you are not that summoned hero. The man with you is most likely a reincarnator such as myself.” Ivy added.

“She’s so damn wordy…” Reysha can only think to herself.

“Hey! Wassup! My name’s Falikh! This pipsqueak is Reysha! She is a cheat character too! Be careful, she is so damn violent!” Falikh butted in as he subtly made a rude remark.

“Pfft! Pipsqueak…! Yeah...I got it. Falikh, a man akin to me and Reysha…pipsqueak...Pfft!” Ivy said as she lost a little of her charisma as she tried not to laugh.

“I wonder whose side are you with, Falikh…” Reysha thinks as she doesn’t want to warrant anymore verbal labeling. However, her foreheads have a vein popping up as she gets more irritated.

“Anyway, I, Ivy Hellbeing, don’t have time to dawdle around with low life mongrels like you. I have a hero to take down!” Ivy said as she prepares to leave.

“Wait, after hearing that. It got me curious. What hero are you talking about?” Reysha asked with a serious tone towards Ivy. In return, Ivy looks at Reysha in the eyes but before she could say anything, Falikh interjected.

“The hero can only be summoned by the Mesola Kingdom. They are those ingrates that follow the rules of the divines or whatsoever God.” Falikh explained that gains Ivy’s full interest.

For some reasons, Falikh said those with a slight disdain. Reysha notices that whenever the Mesola Kingdom is talked about, Falikh’s tone changes a little. Perhaps he is trying to mask his emotion against that place or towards the people.

Mika mentioned that Falikh has no intention of trying to take the throne, but for some deep reason, Falikh is a little off.

Since no answer can be found right away, Reysha herself ceases any thoughts about it and concentrated on Ivy.

“Demon Lord Ivy, I have no other reason to stop you from doing as you please, but you do know that your action is indeed could cause a huge scale conflict.” Reysha tells Ivy the possible outcome of her very action.

“I don’t mind. This forest, the mountains, everything is unbound to anyone, however, it is time to stop such farce. One could only own all of these. The human think of the same thing, think that someday, they will take this land and after that, our domain.” The Demon Lord Ivy said as she gazes at the vast land of forest covered with snow.

“After all, you are just a demon with your own greed. It is something I won’t let happen. Demon Lord Ivy, I am going to take you down here.” Reysha said as she draws her sword from her dimensional storage.

“I knew you know a faster way to settle things.” Ivy said as she took out a cutlass from her own dimensional storage.

“Falikh, get the hell out of here.” Reysha told Falikh without letting her eyes away from Ivy. Her magic power surges, the same as Ivy which clashes.

The trees nearby started swaying as their power clashes. It is as Reysha said, Ivy is someone who might even more powerful than her. She already asserted as soon as they let loose, that Ivy has an enormous power compared to Reysha.

Falikh runs away, however, not too far from there, a distance where he can safely watch…or so he thinks.

“You do have some power there, however, I will make sure that this will end quickly.” Ivy complimented Reysha, however, in a tone which mocks her. “Time Stop.” Ivy said.

Reysha’s eyes couldn’t believe what just happened.

As soon as Ivy said those words, the whole place has become distorted to an unmoving state. She doesn’t know how this bounded field came, or how the very flow of time was halted, however, one thing she knows…she is conscious in the world of frozen time.

“This is my world, my very own place, a dimension warped to stop. The fact of this world is bent to my heed and every motion is set to cease.” Ivy said as she leaps down from the tree. She walks around Reysha with the cutlass in her hand.

“One cannot comprehend such ability, an ability exclusive for me, an ability born together with me. However, it is not omnipotent as it can only last a dozen of seconds. It’s no use talking to someone who doesn't know what’s about to come to them that’s I will end it here.” Ivy said as she withdrew her cutlass and brought out several knives.

Reysha, who is aware of what’s happening around her, can see Ivy Hellbeing throwing the knives around her. The thrown knives are suspended in the air.

As soon as Ivy Hellbeing finished throwing the knives, she turned her back from Reysha.

“And then the time moves again.” She clicks her fingers as she said that and the time slowly starts moving again. The suspended knives then move in accordance to how Ivy threw it.

The knives move but Reysha herself didn’t even bother dodging anymore. It is not that Reysha has given up, however…

FWISH!

The knives, didn’t hit, let alone, grazes Reysha and she knows well how crappy the trajectories of the knives are. Some just flew past her with a huge margin, some flew in the air while spinning with no direction and some didn’t even reached Reysha and just landed on the snow.

“Wow…” Reysha could only say like she is mocking Ivy flatly. “What the hell are you doing…” She asked.

Ivy turns to Reysha halfway with an extremely embarrassed face that could turn into a teary one as she clenches her palm. It seems that it doesn’t work the way she wanted so she can only feel really vexed about it herself.

“You aren’t messing around are you?” Reysha boldly asked. “Or maybe I am pipsqueak that all of it missed?” She then fired back with a pride shattering statement.

“I know! I know that it’s a fail! So what?! I…I still haven’t p-practiced my…k-knife throwing skill…that’s all. N-no! I mean I haven’t allocated any skill points to it yet! You are just lucky! That’s right, lucky!” She explained with face plainly dyed with redness. She tries to reason it illogically unbefitting of how Reysha perceived her.

“You…if you are just going to mess with me, then I am sorry to say, I am going all out against you!” Reysha growls at Ivy who jolted from her sudden change into a more aggressive tone. “World Lapse!” Reysha shouted as the world got distorted by Reysha herself.
