Chapter 135: Decisive Measures 3

Chapter 135: Decisive Measures 3

“Ahem…um…I’ll continue now.” Genesis softly said with a default countenance towards the flabbergasted audiences.

Genesis cleared her throat upon her static joke that she herself seemed not so confident. Of course, everyone was clearly shocked as someone unexpressive tried her best to humor despite the situation.

“As I said earlier, Fallus left a laboratory and that very laboratory is where he conducted research about alchemy and how to create a homunculus. It opens up an opportunity for me to learn how to create a person as a new substitute for me to use.” Genesis continued her story, albeit with the mood receding into a more depressing one.

It was visible in Genesis’ face that there’s discomfort that she can’t put into words.

“As everyone would’ve guessed, I created that monstrosity from where Fallus left. I used Fallus’ and my genes to create her. After that…I used Falikh’s intelligence and magic linings to bolster her abilities.” Genesis, despite the hesitation, continued with her talk.

A visible confusion arises from the people who are ignorant of scientific words, however, for those who are aware of it have a grim expression, especially the latter part of Genesis’ statement.

“Wait a minute, Lady! What do you mean you used Falikh’s intelligence and magic lining?! I understand that Exodus was still yours and King Fallus’ offspring but the last part bothers me the most. No, it bothers everyone here!” Aspara exploded with eye widens in utter awe and terror.

“It is what I said. I extracted Falikh’s magic lining and transferred it to that abomination. Falikh’s magic node in totality is compatible with her so it merges without malfunctioning. As for Falikh’s intelligence…” Genesis fell into a deep silence while pondering something.

“What Falikh knows, how Falikh thinks, and what Falikh learned throughout his life, was all transferred to her through a special magic. It’s not wrong to say that she is a second Falikh but with a twisted virtue of the world…” Genesis quickly followed her words earlier.

“So, you are saying, on top of being a powerful homunculus, Exodus also acquired a strong magic power and knowledge of Falikh, the man who is responsible for the downfall of the Beast Kingdom? That’s…worrying…” Ersha Einhart confirmed the statement with Genesis with a stern gaze.

Everyone has complacent countenance, however, for the sole person who knows of Falikh’s personality, his way of thinking, and values inside out, Reysha was profusely sweating on her back.

“I daresay, that’s a lot dangerous than I thought. A natural born genius, a heightened critical thinking, extremely fast processing thoughts, knowledge of modern science, and Camille’s deep down desire. I know everything… and for those to materialize at the worst possible enemy.” Reysha grits her teeth as those thoughts swirls inside her head.

Reysha slowly direct her gaze at the man, at Falikh, whom all of those qualities are drawn out, thinking, to what extent did Exodus adapted most of Falikh’s knowledge. His talents and abilities manifesting into a perfect replica of the woman called Genesis.

“Do tell us how powerful Falikh is when he still had his magic lining inside his body. From that alone, we can guess how powerful Exodus is.” Ivy asked of Genesis with a curious gaze.

Ivy made a good point that everyone paid keen attention. Depending on what kind of evaluation Genesis will give is how they will act from now on. Of what magnitude and of what scale does her power span? It’s a question everyone needs an answer.

The person in question can easily attest to Genesis words, however, he is currently in disguise and cannot do reckless moves. Of course, the disguise is also crucial for this moment to keep attention away from him.

“Falikh as a child…forget about being a prodigy, he is at a level where he can be called a monster. His magical energy was akin to his father, Fallus. Both are astounding in both martial arts and magic, however, Falikh has too much magical energy for a child. I had to extract that magical lining from him as the double purpose of replacing it with divine lining.” Genesis demonstrated with hand gesture how a magical lining is extracted from a person.

A magical lining is directly perpendicular with a person’s magical node. It is like artery and veins wherein the magical node is entwined with lymphatic nodes that circulate throughout the body. Its job is to carry magical energy inside a person.

However, as for magical lining, it is the lining responsible for the response of the magical energy like how a cell receives a signal from one neurotransmitter to another. It needs a spark that the person’s mind consciously controls.

In layman terms, the magical node is like the road and the magical lining is the vehicle. Falikh himself is devoid of magical lining and in exchange, it was replaced with divine lining. Despite having his lining replaced, it was dysfunctional.

It was like a vehicle with no gas.

“If you extract magical linings from magical nodes, it traces the overall nervous system from the very base of the skull towards the spine up to different parts of the limbs and torso. Implanting the magical linings to someone who has a similar genetic structure becomes as simple as putting a single piece of the puzzle into an almost completed set.” Genesis explained.

“It doesn’t just end there. The magical lining inside that abomination was further enhanced once it settled into her system. It further bolstered her magical power that it reaches a monstrous level, far more severe than Falikh’s level. She was to be my replacement as the bearer of the curse that turned me into an immortal but she as a homunculus is ineligible. It was my biggest mistake and furthermore, Falikh lost all of his potential from my experiments. It was my fault…” Genesis hangs her head as she forces those words out from her lips.

Genesis’ mood drops drastically and her emotional barrier that separates her usual emotional threshold from her melancholic tantrum that defines how the curse affected her mentality starts showing signs of appearing.

“You said it yourself. The magical energy was too much for his young body so you had to do it. Why lament over something you’ve done correctly?” The one gave his opinion was none other than Falikh himself.

Genesis listlessly glances over to his direction while trying to assess him. Little does she know that the man in front of her is her very own son, Falikh.

“…Dare I say I need an opinion from an outsider?” Genesis could feel those words seeping into her mind contrary to her cold reply. It was not entirely but she recovered a little bit of her composure.

“Ahem! Archbishop, what all you said was true, correct?” King Ridil pulled through with the conversation and started anew.

“Absolutely. It is safe to assume that we are facing a monster equal to a million soldiers or more. If she does bring a thousand homunculus far lesser than her, I don’t know how large an army you need.” Genesis concluded. “But, facing her is far cry from what all of you think.” Genesis added with a dim expression.

“What do you mean by that?” Seran asked.

“She just woke up several days ago I presume. The knowledge and power implanted into her are fresh so she hasn’t adapted much yet, however, for the next two months, she may reach mastery of everything at her disposal. The rate in which she learns far exceeds common sense. After several more weeks, she will expand her knowledge basing from her personal experience. When that time comes, she will be unstoppable.” Genesis laid down the worst case scenario that held everyone at the edge of their seats.

“In other words, we either face her or face doom. We will defeat her while she still hasn’t reached her peak yet. If we do not, she will become so strong that there’s nothing left for us to do but to wait for our end.” Victoria uttered those words as if she is certain of it, full of confidence.

“Talk about biting the end of the rope. She will launch an attack firstly at my Kingdom. I have no time to spare dawdling here. I need to immediately prepare our forces.” Meriyal interjected with a default countenance.

“We will come to that, Princess Meriyal! The matter about the invasion of the Mesola Kingdom hasn’t been publicized yet to maintain peace and order. At any rate, I feel like bolstering the number of our soldiers is a lot more pointless.” Ries who is standing behind Meriyal gave her hard-pressed opinion.

“…I guess Meriyal is pretty shaken despite her current expression.” Reysha thought as she observes Meriyal who restlessly taps her finger on the table.

“Also, what Ries said was the truth. We shouldn’t try to compete with quantity but rather, we should pick people who can actually cross path with Exodus’ army of a homunculus. In other words, we need to gather people who are willing to fight in this battle who are as strong as us.” Reysha concluded strongly inside her mind.
