“A beautiful and lovely night to you, Sir and Madam of the Einhart Household, I am Falkh Von Yeager, a traveling merchant. I have come here in earnest in pursuit of your daughter.” Falikh who named himself Falk introduces himself to Seran Einhart and Mirsha Einhart with an elegant bow.
“I see a pursuit for Reysha. And what exactly are you to her for you to take time to visit at nighttime? You should be aware of how severe and preposterous those actions are, Sir Von Yeager.” Mirsha talked with a little bit contempt.
“Maybe he is showing his guts? A man sometimes become unreasonable for someone he pursues, you know?” Seran laid down his thoughts while staring at Falikh.
“Speaking from experience, huh? But this is a different matter. This is the dead of the night and I cannot simply ignore such actions. First off, are you really Reysha’s friend?” Mirsha asked while glancing over to Reysha.
Mirsha and Seran face Falikh in the guest room of the Einhart House. Standing behind the couple is Reysha with a complicated and troubled countenance while Yrsha and Ersha are peeking from afar while trying to make out of the conversation.
While it was true that Falikh has intruded in an untimely manner, Mirsha knows how to save face and invited Falikh together with another man inside the house. The man together with Falikh could be rather called boy than a man with his physique.
There is also the possibility that Falikh could be more of an asset than liability if they handle the conversation with him well.
Mirsha and Seran desires to have a grandchild, however, knowing that their daughters are rather averse to men, the desires seems to be becoming a pipeline.
However, with the arrival of the man called Falkh Von Yeager claiming to be Reysha’s friend which they expect to be true, they slowly starting to build expectations.
The reason is that, other than Ersha and Yrsha, Reysha herself only have minimum contact with men. The only means they can make Reysha meet a man is through a marriage proposal which all was turned down. In hindsight, they thought that Reysha hated men and started losing hope for the prospect of being grandparents.
For them, for Reysha to react rather closely with the newly arrived man, they immediately had the idea how close they are. But still, they are a father and mother and they wisely made their move and started evaluating Falikh.
“Miss Reysha and I are without doubt friends! It was kind of hard to approach her back then when she started an escort commission from us, the trader’s guild. Well, things gradually warmed up between me and Miss Reysha. Also, her strength is something a merchant like seeks to protect our caravan from wild beasts and bandits.” Falikh explained in one breath before sprouting a refreshing smile.
Upon his words, Mirsha glances at Reysha.
“It’s true. Sir Von Yeager and I shared meals and exchange story of our exploits at our leisure time. I don’t think much of it but what between us is more of an important acquaintance rather than close friends.” Reysha explained while stealing a glance at Falikh.
“I’ll try to ride along with your story but it doesn’t mean I’ll bend to everything. If this is for the mission, I understand, however, bending the truth and false isn’t an applaudable habit for me.” Reysha said inside her mind.
“So she said, Sir Von Yeager. I take it that other than being a friend, you are here for a more concrete and valid reason, no?” Mirsha started attacking Falikh with questions.
“Yes, since I am mindful of everything I heard, that also comes with Miss Reysha’s day of birth. I apologize in advance though for investigating Miss Reysha’s background. You see, such strength doesn’t come every day and if possible, I’d like to deepen my relationship with her.” Falikh confidently replied.
At this point, Mirsha cannot disregard anything about Falikh anymore.

“And, you found out that Reysha is a daughter of a noble and even went out of your way to find out where she lives. You are quite obstinate in pursuing our daughter. Just for reference, as a merchant, what do you deal with?” Mirsha’s eyes sharpen as she also started opening Falikh like a book.
“Regarding that, I am glad to present you what kind of product I deal with.” As Falikh said that, he slowly reaches out for his breast pocket and pulled out a vial with a clear content and set it in the table, in front of Mirsha and Seran Einhart.
“This is…?” Seran quizzically asked.
Mirsha also directed a gaze of suspicion, ready to draw out any defensive magic at any time upon laying her eyes on the product Falikh presented.
Ignoring their defensive acts, Falikh removes the lid of the vial and what comes next is…
“Oh, my…” Mirsha widens her eyes in surprise as a fragrant aroma of the lilac attacked her nose. The smell spreads throughout the room and filled it with a relaxing yet invigorating scent.
“I am a direct dealer of Madam Fleur’s perfume stocks. I travel around to sell Madam Fleur’s products and even take special orders for tailored clothes. The range of my customers starts from commoners to the rich.” Falikh explained with a wink flying over to Reysha. “And this is one of her latest prototypes. I’ve been going around letting all the customer see this to get feedback.” Falikh added.
THUD
The sound of the palm hitting the table in vigor resounds. Before anyone has noticed it, Mirsha Einhart is on her feet with eyes greedily looking at the perfume presented by Falikh.
“Did you said that…you specialize in Madam Fleur’s products?! Oh, my heavens…” Mirsha could only look in disbelief at Falikh, however, those eyes are also mixed with satisfaction.
“With this, Falikh has already won over mother. Well, I hope it goes smoothly as he’d hope for.” Reysha said inside her mind.
“H-How much?! This new product?!” Mirsha’s voice becomes shaky and her dignified appearance fell short to none other than a child desiring for a new toy.
“Hmm? I wonder…?~ I myself personally knows Madam Fleur so this product is still in the process of being commercialized. If it does go well, we could release a whole stock of warehouse next three months. Products such as this were only trusted by certain individuals to test and get feedback from our consumers. Buying it now would be…” Falikh playfully spins his words that made Mirsha restless.
“This man…on top of winning over mother, still plans to pull more from her. Well, what do I say? As expected of Falikh in feat with Mika…controlling and collapsing the economy can be a child play for them.” Reysha knitted her brows as she thought of those dangerous stunts that can be made real.
“Then--!” Mirsha was about to say something, however, Seran places his hand on her shoulder.
“Dear, we can discuss such thing later. I’ll negotiate with Sir Von Yeager later so I can have it. Then I will give it to you. Is that good?” Seran looks at Mirsha’s eyes with utter gentleness and sincerity with light connecting to each other.
Mirsha wordlessly concedes with face fiercely blushing and hid her face behind Seran’s arm.
“That’s a promise.” Mirsha said in a soft voice.
“It’s a promise.” Seran replied tenderly.
“””Stop that!””” Everyone in the room, including the servants and Falikh’s group, retorted inside their minds as the scene around the couple became misty pink.
“Ehem…” The boy beside Falikh clears his throat. Because his hat covers most of his face, his visage is less than visible, however, his voice was high pitched, almost as if it came from a girl.
“Oh, my apologies! We got swept away by the mood and now I've been thinking of trying for a fourth chi--no nevermind. Now, let’s continue. I want to cut short this discussion but something is bothering me.” Seran now takes the offensive.
“Yes, I’ll answer gratefully.” Falikh smiled.
“Your companion…is not a human, right?” Seran pointed at Falikh’s companion.
“Oh, as expected of the Sir who raised Miss Reysha! Such keen senses. You are right, my companion is actually from the beast race.” Falikh said as he gestured to his companion.
“I deeply apologize for the late introduction. My name is Oliver, Sir Von Yeager’s apprentice.” Oliver bowed down to the head of the house politely. His, or rather her fox ears becomes visible to the couple that colored them flabbergasted.
“Oh! How exceedingly delightful!” Seran said with eyes filled with excitement.
Other than Seran, there’s also another one who looks at Oliver with eyes devouring her visage with utmost gluttony.
It was Yrsha Einhart.
She looks at Oliver as if she is licking all over him, or rather, her if they actually knew her real identity. For Yrsha, it was a descent of a new research material.
“I am honored to be warmly welcomed.” Oliver or rather, Olivia replied as she sat down again.
“Well, well, that settles things, one thing. The other one that I wanted to ask is…” Seran mulled.
“Is…?” Falikh flashes a smile.
“You…do you really need someone who can protect you? Your form, your posture, and even your movements…it’s hard to notice but…I know that rather than faking a good form, you are faking your clumsy movements. Was it on purpose? I am Seran Einhart, thing such as this is easy for me to tell.” Seran glares at Falikh full of hostility.
“What…?!” Reysha was able to suppress her voice from leaking out, however, surprise still overcomes her countenance.
“I don’t know what you are talking about.” Falikh simply replied with a straight face.
