“Like what I said, I’m sorry! Miss Reysha!” Falikh’s wailing voice resounded as he follows behind Reysha, Ivy, and Eiru. He is lively as ever but his countenance is on the verge of despair as he is being treated with a cold shoulder.
However, no one faces him and only their walking figure are shown to him. Neither Ivy nor Eiru is even trying to give him a glance. After all, he was the leader of the band of bandits and the one who perpetrated the naken apron that led to Ivy and Meriyal’s passing out.
They traverse the forest with Falikh’s loud voice as their adventuring background music, in which to no avail, annoyed Reysha to the highest degree.
It’s not that Reysha is mad at him. Given the situation their whole group was put in, a proper countermeasure is indeed needed, however, Falikh did have a countermeasure but to no avail, not a proper one.
In the end, Reysha understands that Falikh just wanted to protect their livelihood which is leeching off from rich and wealthy girls. At this point in time, she can no longer rebuke them.
After several minutes of walking, they arrived at their destination, the Dimensional Crack, or so what they all ought to know.
“So, Miss Reysha, this is too urgent that you have to smack me awake, right? It’s unfair that you didn’t do anything to Meriyal!” Ivy protested as she touches her cheek where Reysha slapped her.
“Meriyal is a princess of a Kingdom that my Kingdom is affiliated with. Besides, I am just a noble and she is a royalty. No, dismiss that. You’re just simply tougher and you can just regenerate any injury after all.” Reysha bluntly said with an uninterested countenance.
“The difference between our treatment is too cruel I’m going to cry!” Ivy clings to Reysha and shakes as she complains.
“Shut up. Just look ahead of you.” Reysha simply stated as she raises one hand points at the Dimensional Crack.
“Why didn’t we brought Victoria with us anyway?” Eiru inserted a question.
“Nothing good comes when she is around. Besides, someone has to manage the Host Club as the top, right? We already have sufficient people for now. All we need to do is to wait for Aspara’s arrival in a week. For now, I want you guys to see this.” Reysha explained it to them while she walks closer to the crack.
Reysha walks nonchalantly closer to the crack. Eiru and Ivy follow behind, however, as they noticed that Reysha has no plan on stopping on her track, they immediately hold them off by grabbing onto her shoulders.
“Wait! What are you going to do, Miss Reysha?!” Eiru shouted in surprise as he stopped Reysha.
“This crack is nothing sort of a vacuum or a wormhole. This is something simpler but at the same time, complicated. Take a look.” Reysha said as she pulled Ivy’s hand from her shoulder with an astounding force and flung her inside the crack.
“Ahh! Miss Reysha?!” Ivy cried out as her whole body is swallowed up by the crack.
“Wha--?! Why did you do that?! Ivy is…Ivy…” Eiru got agitated as he saw Ivy disappearing in plain sight, however, he was also flung by Reysha inside the crack wordlessly.
A case of theft: this story is not rightfully on Amazon; if you spot it, report the violation.
“Eh? What just happened?!” Falikh said as he caught up with Reysha as he got sidetracked along the way.
“You’re coming too.” Reysha said as she grabbed Falikh’s hand and dragged him along inside the crack.
Reysha was not met with any resistance from Falikh but rather, he let her lead him all the way. Unknowingly, Falikh trusted Reysha and will follow her without much doubt.
As soon as they got out of the darkness filled void, Reysha and Falikh arrived at that place. In front of them, Eiru and Ivy are both staring at the place filled with mystery. The place where they can see a planet that may be their own planet.
It is what Reysha remember from earlier, a place that she might as well call a broken moon. Afar from their place is a ruin with a huge mechanical cube. The boundless space filled with stars and planet, this is what they can just see right now.
“So, anything comes to mind?” Reysha asked with a deeply serious tone as she approaches Ivy from the back. Then, they only word that comes out from Ivy’s lips is…
“Erestivatria…” Ivy said like an inaudible gasp. She clenches her hand and her face is somewhat in a fervor glow.
At that moment, Reysha who is still holding Falikh’s hand felt something.
As soon as the word Erestivatria is uttered, Falikh’s hand shook and immediately tightens. As Reysha took a look at his countenance, she never believed what face he is making right now.
“So…this is the place my mother is searching for…” He said with indignation, a serious countenance that sprouted enmity towards the very place itself. His cheerful façade instantly melted and a twisted hate immediately surface from his heart.
“I see. Ivy…what is this place specifically? You already know about it.” Reysha concluded that Ivy is already versed with this place.
“To be honest, I’ve never been here. It’s just a place mentioned in some books pertaining to the Calamity that befell our land two hundred years ago. It is said that this place, Erestivatria, is the spawning place for the abomination called Devils.” Ivy explained.
“Devils? Are those some sort of demon subspecies?” Eiru asked the question.
“No! Devils are a completely separate entity, even among all the races in this world! They are specifically made by Eresti, the enemy of the Goddess of Blessing, Nivalis. In the book, it is said that they are ruthless and merciless creation made to kill pointlessly. They only follow a twisted instinct to do harm. That’s what my aunt said to me who personally wrote the book I read.” Ivy gave a more elaborate explanation pertaining the subject about devils.
“So…this is like an evil shrine or something, right?” Reysha stood firm as she handled the explanation well. She already determined that this place is nothing sort of joyful or fantastic.
“Miss Reysha, this place, we have to seal it immediately.” Falikh’s serious voice resounded.
“What’s with you all of the sudden? That’s our goal right from the start. We don’t plan on excavating this place pointlessly.” Reysha pointed out that this place is nothing sort of fancy.
“My mother has been searching for this place for a long time now. The only place where she can perform the revival of Eresti. If she ever finds this place, I assure you that she will do everything in her power to start the ritual.” Falikh revealed another one of Genesis’ plan.
“That’s a little ridiculous to hear. She said that you are the sacrifice, her very own son but, why is she so desperate? Is she really that blinded by her faith? And when you said for a long time…” Reysha’s questions seems a little overbearing, however, for Falikh, nothing comes as pressuring. He only answered the questions.
“What I know from my mother is that she has already lived for more than a hundred years. She is desperate but…for the reason behind it…I don’t know.” Falikh’s voice falters.
“I see. It’s a little miraculous that you get your mother to talk like that.” Reysha said as she turns around to view the planet.
“You’re mistaken, Miss Reysha. My mother, by heart, is kind. I don’t know what’s driving her to this desperation.” Falikh stated. The tone sounded a little monotonous but there’s a bit of warmness into it.
Reysha didn’t say anything.
At this point, she deemed that she no longer has any authority to pry deeper into Falikh and Genesis relationship as a mother and son. Even though she knows that inside Falikh is her wife from her past life, she is aware that there are things that aren’t connected anymore.
