Chapter 50: Hellmind 2

Chapter 50: Hellmind 2

Morning came and the exquisite hotel of Harmony starts its day with cleaning before the sun peeks out from the horizon. However, the weather forbids the sunlight to shine upon the people of Capital of Mesola.

Marianne, a simple receptionist with above average skills that got her into this job do her best fully motivated by the sum of wage she earns from working here. This motivation went up further upon laying her eyes to the guests yesterday.

The guests are four handsome men who seem to dazzle her eyes with their glimmer and a lady whose ambience exudes refinement. She was even given a huge tip just for giving information and it makes her joyous.

And yesterday, at the brink of the young night, another batch guests came. Her eyes lay upon a beauty whose hair is fair as dew that shimmers with ivory radiance. With her are two knights equipped with armor that can’t be called barbaric but glorious.

It was already late when she realized that the identity of the silver haired woman is a princess of Breille Kingdom and the lady with radiant deep blue ocean hair is a councilor from Kerias Kingdom.

She felt that her existence suddenly became meager, like a housefly trying to associate with butterflies, no, associate was even too much, even as to talk to them or even make eye contact, she felt so small.

However, that meagerness intensifies as the two big figures met at this very moment after settling their breakfast.

“Oh? Isn’t it the milk drinker?” Aspara mockingly said as she make eye contact with Meriyal while approaching her.

“Oh my, isn’t that the most effective way to ruin a person’s morning? I’ll have you know, I still drink milk and it is very nutritious. I hope you are still drinking it since you lack the proper height to meet me at eye level.”  Meriyal said as she stands up and stare down at Aspara.

“Ohohoho, I’ve drank enough milk in my lifetime. The proof is visible, right here.” Aspara replied as she bumps her humungous breasts at Meriyal’s pathetic chest that could even reduce wind pressure. She even rubs it with pride with a smug face.

“Tsk! Fat cow!” Meriyal snaps with a scowl.

“Washboard!” Aspara replied as they pushes each other’s body.

The two started their staring contest again.

“It’s good to see you well, Councilor Aspara.” Ries greeted with a bow together with Lala who stood behind her. “You and the princess seem to be getting along really well.” she added with a teasing tone.

“”We are not!”” the two shouted in sync.

“Don’t tease them Captain!” Lala interjected.

“Lala, what did I tell you? You are my bestfriend. It’s fine if you just call me Ries.” Ries lectured Lala as she turned around to her.

“Oh my, then I am wondering why two kept refusing to call me by my name then? Aren’t we all childhood friends?” Meriyal questioned the two female knights as she pushed Aspara away nonchalantly.

“Slope bitch!” Aspara gruntingly said as she returned to her seat and munched her food.

“As I said Princess, we can’t! Anyway, Councilor Aspara, that’s quite a group of men you have there.” Ries said as she looks at Mika who is sipping his coffee, Reld who is hiding his face from them, and Sod and Mes who are eating happily because it is free food.

“Oh my, you mean us?” Mika said as he looks at Ries with his ever-gentle eyes.

This book's true home is on another platform. Check it out there for the real experience.

“Aye, it is you and the others I am talking about. It won’t be even embarrassing to say that all of you are handsome, especially you. You are kind of suave.” Ries complimented Mika as she seats in front of him.

“Oh, I am flattered. By the way, I am Mika, I’ve heard your name is Ries, it’s a pleasure to be your acquiantace. However, I will just say it in advance but, I am actually homosexual.” Mika bluntly said with a smile.

PFFFFT!

All the women inside the exquisite lounge of the hotel simultaneously spat out their drinks upon knowing that Mika will never ever have any interest to them.

Marianne who accidentally heard this bumps he head in a wall. Because not only she heard something unbelievable because of how handsome Mika is but how it is going to be hard to clean up the mess the other guests made.

“Ahaha! Typical Mika dropping something big like that like it is no big deal.” Sod said as he chew his food.

“Chew your food or die suffocating. Choose your poison Sod.” Mes said towards Sod who is now choking on his food. Mes nonchalantly brings the glass of water closer to Sod. “Told you.” he added.

Suddenly, Aspara’s body jerked like she felt something as Lala passes by her.

“Hey, you! Come here!” She ordered Lala.

“What is it, Councilor Aspara? I can’t have you ordering me around as I am Princess personal escort.” Lala warned though she obediently walks closer to Aspara.

“Don’t move. I am going to pull it.” Aspara said as she places her hand on Lala’s head and start looking at her hair strand by strand.

“Fat cow, what is it?” Meriyal said as she also comes closer to Lala with a bit worried expression.

“Ah, this is it!” Aspara exclaimed as she pulls a single strand of hair that doesn’t even match Lala’s hair color. The single strand of hair shines dimly and in a split second, it vanishes.

“Wha--?! What was that?!” Ries said as she checks Lala’s body.

“That’s a tracking magic implanted on people. It sucks that victims own magic to sustain itself and let the caster knows where it will go. Someone…planted it on you.” Aspara explained as she scans Meriyal, Ries, and Lala’s body with magic. “It is a unique magic that only me and Yrsha Einhart knows. Come to think of it, Yrsha was an instructor.” She added.

“Professor Yrsha? I know her. I studied a bit under her guidance. However, when the war almost broke out, I was recalled back from the Kerias Kingdom.” Lala explained as her face turned serious.

“Lala, are you alright? You don’t feel anything else, right?” Meriyal asked Lala.

“There will be no problem, however, do be careful, especially you, slope bitch.” Aspara said as she faces Meriyal.

“Tracking down one of your trusted soldiers, that only means one thing. Someone…is after your lives and now, they know that you are her.” Aspara announces as she kept herself hostile as she scans that whole place with detection magic.

Meanwhile…

Falikh, Reysha, and Ivy emerges at a secret passage from underground.

“If you knew something like this, you should have told us sooner you idiot!” Reysha protested as she came out from a door of a house where the hidden passage was camoflouge.

“My bad! I’m really sorry!” Falikh said as he desperately bows down.

“The smell was so cloud nine there! It stinks to high heaven!” Ivy complained as she dusts her clothes clean. However, as it is a dragon fiber, it was just a mere gesture.

Suddenly, as they are about to walk forward, a guard with a full face helmet shows up in front of them. The guard looks particularly at Falikh.

“Uh…hi?” Falikh timidly said.

“Wait…I know you!” The guard said. “There’s no mistake, you’re a wanted man!” The guard exclaimed.

“PFffFTTttt!” Ivy desperately stops her laugh as she covers her mouth with both of her hands.

“What’s wrong with you…?” Reysha said with knitted eyebrow upon not getting the reference.

“Just kidding, it’s me Lord Falikh!” the guard said with a slight chuckle as he removed his helmet.

Falikh breathed a sigh of relief as the man in front of him is someone he knows, a man that sided with him.

The man has a normal feature and his visible age is somewhere in early thirties. He is fairly built for the job and has a messy brown hair.

“Oh, hey, Falikh, are you acquainted with this guard?” Reysha asked.

“Yeah, he is good buddy of mine. Isn’t that right?” Falikh said as he places his arm on the guard’s shoulder.

“That is correct! My name is Gard and I am a guard.” Gard said with a smile.

“So…your…name is Gard…and you are a Guard?! Pffft! Ahahahaha!” Ivy laughs heartily upon hearing Gard’s words.

“Hey, hey, Gard, can you tell those words again? Those words I told you to practice?” Falikh nudges Gard with a smile.

“Ahaha! Of course Lord Falikh!” Gard casually agrees.

He put his helmet back on and faces Reysha and Ivy.

“I used to be an adventurer like you…” Gard said.

“Then…? Then…?!” Ivy excitedly bridges Gard’s words.

“Then I just decided to settle down as a guard because of the stable wage and it is less dangerous. And also, by the end of the day, I get to go home to my family.” Gard said.

“PFffT! It was quite decent!” ivy said as she still trying to hold herself back from laughing her head off.

Meanwhile, Reysha just watches the wreck unfold before her eyes.
