The Military Grounds of Kerias Kingdom Castle.
A place where those who are talented with the sword, spear, and bow tinged with a little magic gathers to train and attain position within the army. One can attain and secure a position with full financial benefits and guaranteed high salary if they pass the preliminary requirements.
After that, achieving quite a feat could either get you a stable job as Garrison and Civil Soldiers that protects the citizen in domains and territory you are posted to.
However, if one exhibits talents unparalleled that mostly can be seen 1 out of a thousand people, expect to even gain that support of the King of the Kerias himself.
However, an individual showed called Ersha Einhart demonstrated a rarity of one out of hundred thousands of people with her remarkable skills inherited from her father, magical prowess from her mother, and an innate talent to command people at any given time and situation.
It was her who rises to the rank of a Major General despite branded as young at age twenty-seven. A peerless woman whose commands are made out of iron and whose charisma urges the soldier to move.
A respectable figure who became a sign of the King’s utmost authority of strength, that is Ersha Einhart.
“Move those hips you maggots! Even a flea can do better than that! Do you lot really think the enemy would give mercy to an overblown insect like you on the battlefield?!” Ersha shouted as she oversees the training of one squadron.
“Yes!” Answered in unison by the soldiers whose faces are streaming with sweat from their brows while swinging the sword in their hands. Their faces are not of those who show tiredness but one that shows persistence.
“Weak! Louder! I can’t hear your answers!” Ersha once again roared at the soldiers. Her demeanor even in the middle of the summer heat shows coldness yet, strictness for her subordinates.
“Yes!!” The soldiers replied once again in unison, but now, with a more upfront face proud of their own self. Even in the blazing heat, their heart resonates with one another that create a harmony that can only be called bonds deep as a brotherhood.
However, in the middle of a fervor, a young man, fresh from the outset, collapses into his knee.
“Aughh…” He grunted as the armor he is wearing made a metallic sound. He tried standing with a shaky gait but to no avail, his energy didn’t manifest.
“Keep swinging.” Ersha commanded as she approaches the man.
“Major, I’ll stand up back! I can still go on! I have always dreamed of this day!” The young man whose age doesn’t even portrays that he is past twenty spoke in anguish.
“That’s enough soldier. Get into a shade and rest properly. You suddenly jumped at a training regimen your body isn’t used to. Forcing oneself isn’t the way to strength.” Ersha lightly scolded as he pointed at the resting area.
“No…I can still swing this sword. To be strong…to be useful…and to give my little sister who is still young a bright future.” The man muttered while biting his lips.
“Your sentimentality is indeed praiseworthy but it is not something you bring up in the middle of our training, but I can feel your determination rages. However though, remember this soldier, strength isn’t built in a single day. It’s cultivated with proper discipline. Now, do as I say before I kick you around!” Ersha shouted after her lecture.
If you stumble upon this narrative on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.
“Y-Yes!” The man weakly sprang up from his place and rushes to the resting area.
“Goodness, younglings these days don’t give importance to rest. Too passionate and aggressive that it may actually cause their demise.” Ersha muttered under her breathe as he returned to her post.
Once again, she oversees the training of her subordinates under the rage of the summer blaze. Even she is not safe from the haze and her face glistens with sweat, however, it’s a trivial matter for someone who followed the path of the sword.
After a while…
“Major! I have a message to convey!” A man covered in armor come running along towards Ersha and bowed down before uttering those words.
“Oh? At ease, soldier. What is the content of the message?” Ersha calmly spoke as she watches the heaving man.
“They said they are waiting for you. In accordance, we gave them a proper reception.” The man said.
“They? Could it be…?” Ersha widens her eyes from the message.
“Yes, I’ve confirmed that the two individuals are indeed your little sisters, Lady Yrsha Einhart and Miss Reysha Einhart.” The man added.
“Is it that day of the year already? Goodness, how could I forgot such important event.” Ersha places a palm on her countenance as she said that. “That is to say, convey it to Lieutenant Mergez that I will be on a break effective today! That’s an order.” Ersha said as she promptly gestured the soldiers swinging their sword to stop and rest.
“Eh?! Major, wait!” The man tried to talk to Ersha anxiously.
“Tell him he is in-charge temporarily. I’ll be sending a letter directly to Councilor Aspara. I’ll be off now.” Ersha then promptly left with dignified strides leaving a dumbfounded soldier.
“…Is it really alright? Well, I guess because she is the Major.” The man shrugs as he started moving.
Meanwhile, Ersha Einhart walks down the marble corridor of the Keep specifically built for training. Compared to the blazing sun where she roasted her soldiers, it’s relatively cool in here.
“I can’t believe I’ve almost lost track of it. I’ll make sure I’d buy something for my beloved little sister as present…No, something specially ordered and crafted would be better.” Ersha’s mind started spelling thoughts about a gift she will hand over to Reysha on her day of birth.
After that, with only shedding her heavy armor as her uniform and changing into a light silver plated armor, Ersha headed towards the entrance of the Keep to meet up with Reysha and Yrsha.
There, she found the two sipping cold juices offered by the soldiers at the post as a sign of hospitality. Reysha and Yrsha couldn’t miss the towering figure of Ersha walking towards their direction. The soldiers at the post then saluted as soon as Ersha made her presence clear.
“Good work, Ersha. Well…why are you still wearing your armor?” Yrsha asked with a forced smile as she Ersha stood in front of them.
“The heat becomes a little bit unbearable but…are you okay? I mean, that’s a slab of metal you are wearing.” Reysha voices out her concern.
“It matters not what armor I wear. For I am continuously on duty even if I suddenly take a break. Keep in mind that even the two of you are citizens that I wanted to protect.” Ersha answered without breaking a line.
The two soldier that overhears Ersha words are captivated by Ersha’s love for her Kingdom and its citizen.
“My, my, how admirable. You are always like that. Anyway, let’s go now. At this rate, it will be dusk before we get home.” Yrsha said as she beckons Reysha and Ersha.
“Yeah, it’s also been a while since I saw our parent’s faces.” Ersha followed with words such as those.
“…Well, good thing the Einhart’s domain is tactically located next to the capital…” Reysha thought while trying to brush off the heat inside her mind.
After that, the three sisters that started walking down the city with Ersha keeping an eye on what to buy for Reysha.
“Hmm…I’d feel bad for Yrsha if I don’t buy anything for her too. Maybe I’ll give her something a day before Reysha’s day of birth.” Ersha thought in consideration of Yrsha who is joyously annoying Reysha.
“I think it’s time to hint some things that I wanted. After all, I know Ersha would feel bad if she doesn’t buy me anything too.” Yrsha’s evil thoughts as she started wondering what she wanted too.
Thus, the three set their destination towards their home, however, attracting needless attention again. Ersha that overtowers the petite Reysha and the bookworm Yrsha made quite a spectacle for the people.
