As the noon approaches, peoples involved in the incident in the last three nights are gathered in a meeting hall. There is a quadratic table laid in the middle of the luxurious room with chairs on each and every side to properly accommodate the participants.
On this very hall sat two figures and they are the Archbishop Genesis and her companion, Alef. The two of them are mandated to wait in the room as they are going to speak first and foremost about the situation.
Though they look like they have free reign, several escorts hiding in the shadows are watching their every move. They are also restricted to a certain amount of places. It was fortunate enough that they get to walk and talk on their own.
Genesis especially, as the attention of everyone is directed at her.
“Hey, are you really sure you want this?” Alef asked with a simple default countenance.
“…I don’t have a choice now, do I. Not that the abomination that I created started rampaging. Do you have any news regarding Deril?” Genesis replied with an aloof face.
“It sucks to be you, huh.” Alef lightly teased with a faint smile.
“Yes…I know. I’ve done atrocious things that cannot be taken back. Why are you even here with me? You could easily escape…I don’t want anyone bearing on my pathetic countenance like this…” Genesis spat out those words as if she wanted to cry.
“…Why am I still here with you? I don’t really have a deep reason other than my need of your divine energy.” Alef looks up to the ceiling where countless chandeliers are hanging.
“…” Genesis could only grit her teeth as she tries to figure out what would Alef say next.
“My reason is just you are so pathetic that I can’t leave you alone. You can’t live all by yourself.” Alef simply answered.
“Hehehe, you’re a fool. Even after I tried chasing you away, you never moved far from me. Also, I won’t die of simple hunger or the likes.” Genesis smirks at Alef’s remarks.
“My sentiment doesn’t just reach for your physical safety and I really hoped you aren’t that dense…” Alef inaudibly whispered with great displeasure.
“Did you say something?” Genesis caught wind of what Alef said but didn’t quite understand it.
“What I said is it’s about time for everyone to arrive.” Alef said while shaking her head in utter dismay.
As Alef worded those thoughts, the door to the hall opens and people arrive one after another. It didn’t take long before everyone arrives but despite the gathering, the silence was still and the atmosphere has gotten heavier.
At the furthest end of the table, King Ridil sat face to face with Genesis. Sure enough, there isn’t even an air of friendliness coming from him.
“Archbishop, I am honored to be in your presence. I was hoping we could have met in a better circumstance. That as it may, we cannot overlook your actions and such so we would like to hear a lot from you.” King Ridil said while he glares at Genesis.
Not only King Ridil but also Seran Einhart puts a heavy pressure on Genesis. As if this isn’t enough, Princess Meriyal’s presence made everything worse considering that her own kingdom will be receiving the brunt of the existence called Exodus.
Falikh, Oliver, and Mika can only knit their eyebrows at the imposing atmosphere that two figure led while Reysha and Aspara calmly observe the situation. Since the others aren’t needed in the meeting, they are currently working in the Host Club.
Ersha and Yrsha stand behind the seated Mirsha and they can only place their attentiveness on the discussion alone and cannot lay down any emotionally inclined opinions. The Einhart family received a huge blow after all and they want to yield a favorable result in this meeting.

Ivy Hellbeing, the Demon Lord, is being pushed by the pressure too, however, she doesn’t show it on her face.
Lastly, the odd one out, Victoria, puts her feet on the table while leaning back in a lax manner. It was plain rude and disrespectful to the people in position but for Victoria, such titles mean nothing.
“Say, could you geezers cut her some slack?” Victoria called out in a lazy tone.
“This matter can only be answered by the Archbishop herself and we are pressed for time. And also, what’s up with your stance?!” Ersha snaps at Victoria.
“Hey now, I just don’t want you guys scaring the hell out of her. Cute is justice for me. She’s cute so I’ll be siding with her.” Victoria simply answered.
“As always, your reasoning is shallow. Don’t you have any better motivation to stick up with?” Aspara sounded her protest towards Victoria.
“Ahahaha, well, sorry! You two are cute too so don’t worry!~ My taste has a wide range of variety.” Victoria sprouted a grin. “I did stop them from scaring her but in the first place, it wasn’t even necessary. Her eyes tell that she is willing to cooperate.” She added as she peered into Genesis’ eyes.
“I don’t have any intention to cut corners. It doesn’t define me and if I did it, I’m going to resent myself for the rest of eternity that I will live. That, I promise.” Genesis said those words as she bowed with sincerity.
“Hmph.” Oliver snickered while looking away in disgust.
“Trust doesn’t grow on trees like a fruit.” Reysha thought while thinking it’s clever and funny.
“Well then, I shall start the discussion as planned. The very first and foremost problem would be her…the homunculus girl I created who named herself Exodus.” Genesis started talking with steadfast eyes. Her way of carrying her words shows she is used to this situation.
In an instant, the tight pressure on Genesis was overwritten by her own lamentation as she started recalling everything.
“Fallus Mesola is the original king of the Mesola Kingdom which is everyone aware of. Fallus, my late husband, has left me one son and that is Falikh. Our relationship was a tale kept to every citizen of our kingdom as we have both differing status.” Genesis started with an obvious fact to some but a well-kept history from the others.
“However, one night, for an unknown reason, Fallus was murdered but the news that circulated in the capital was that he committed suicide. Obviously, it was an opposition regarding political strife. Because of it, I felt that I need to hide Falikh since he is the only child we have. That’s when I stumbled upon Fallus’ secret research facility in the underground. He was researching homunculus.” Genesis reveals some more stammering conspiracies.
“Wait, is this guy Fallus a massive pedo?!” Victoria shamelessly intervened.
“…Frankly, he is.” Genesis calmly replied.
“Granddaughter set your priorities straight!! It was so embarrassing to hear that to be honest!” Falikh complaint inside his head while cringing.
“Damn pervert, so lucky!” Victoria shouted in frustration as she stares at Genesis like she is licking her.
Everyone started looking at Victoria with eyes of either disgust or concern, thinking whether this girl’s head can still be fixed or not.
“He is…lucky? He is despite being dead?” Genesis, with a curious countenance, tilted her head.
“Mother, you don’t have to answer that!” Falikh places a palm on his face.
“Stop that! You, woman over there, shut up! And you, Archbishop, you don’t have to humor her back! This is just stalling the meeting!” Aspara shot up from her seat and shouted.
“Humor? That was humoring?” Genesis asked indignantly.
“Do you have any thoughts about this, King Ridil?” Aspara fetches a feedback from Ridil with a sharp glare.
“Isn’t it fine? It’s like an icebreaker.” King Ridil answered lightly.
“Ah, don’t give me that crap when you are the one who planned to scare the little archbishop, bastard.” Seran immediately snapped at Ridil.
“Father, this was planned…? I’m ashamed. This is nothing more than an act of bullying.” Ersha shook her head in disappointment while looking down.
“Seran, are you a kid?” Mirsha glares at her husband with cold eyes.
As Mirsha Einhart asked that question, Queen Aluria just smiles calmly in the storm, not knowing what kind of reaction she needs to show.
“This meeting…it seems absurdly tasteless with a lot of unnecessary people around…even the King acts like a complete child.” Genesis commented as she looks around. “But, this is a first for me. I don’t know what to say or how to react.” She added while looking away from everyone’s gaze.
“What a socially awkward person…” Mika blurted to himself with disbelief.
“I know right. She’s been like this for god knows how many years.” Alef returned words with Mika in agreement while nodding.
“I am aware of my emotional shortcomings but should it be included in this discussion? Anyway, shall I move forward with the talk?” Genesis asked while finding the current situation a woe.
From Genesis’ urging, the people involved in the small fiasco nodded.
“Then…” Genesis tried to retell her story however, she made an unusual pause.
Upon her unusual gesture of awkward silence and extremely troubled face, everyone starts staring at her intensely. Even Falikh himself who should know better about Genesis that anyone else is contemplating of what problem did Genesis encountered.
“I forgot where I left off.” Genesis abruptly said combined with a head tilt.
“EH?!” It’s how everyone reacted in Genesis’ words.
“No…that was a joke. I was trying to humor in a good way.” Genesis followed up with an unusually awkward tone.
