Chapter 93: Sealing the Gap 5

Chapter 93: Sealing the Gap 5

“It was, to no avail, would be this awe striking.” Aspara said as she broke out into a troubled smile as she gazes at the sight of the space. Her hands are trembling in pure ecstatic excitement as she gawks at the wondrous ruins.

“It will be a problem for the future if you pursue to preserve this place, especially the threat that this will be the gateway for Archbishop Genesis to enact her plans. We are here now to specifically close this crack and no further discussion shall befall upon.” Reysha said as she guides Aspara.

“But, this is a huge waste! A foreign architect, or even a lost magic or a way to ascend into something akin to a god, won’t this be a more benefit than a detriment to us? Einhart, you are well aware now of my pursual of greater power, correct?” Aspara said with a serious flat tone while turning her gaze to Reysha.

“Don’t make me regret involving you in this affair. Do not forget that our goal is to prevent further woes for the sake of peace. This dimension surely disrupts normalcy, that is why I petition that this space be closed.” Reysha said as she started dragging Aspara out of the dimension.

“Then, you shouldn’t have brought me here in the first place if you are going to shoot down my hopes. Einhart, do you know how much this stirs my heart?” Aspara tried to break free from Reysha’s grasp.

“I will honestly and sincerely give my apology to you, Councilor Aspara. If I can, I would like to let you delve deeper into this ruin too but, as Archbishop Genesis finds her way here like destiny is guiding her, we cannot let this lying here.” Reysha stated with a pained expression as she saw how heartbroken Aspara is.

“Einhart…” Aspara only muttered as she let herself be dragged away. “This is not fair…” she weakly muttered.

Reysha took it upon herself to bring Aspara into this space for the last glimpse. She knew that Aspara would actually raise a protest, however, she could not withhold the feeling of isolating Aspara from their discoveries as she is the most earnest upon such thing.

But, as Aspara said, she should not have shown it to her if she cannot delve into it. Aspara only felt bitterness and pure dismay.

As they left the dimensional crack, Ivy, Victora, Falikh, Eiru, and Meriyal together with Ries and Lala, are standing outside the dimensional crack, waiting for their return.

“Oho? So this is the subject of concern. Indeed, if something like that appears in my territory, I would immediately consult our Court Magician.” Meriyal said as she gawks at the void.

“Sadly, Princess Meriyal, something as this cannot be handled by mere Court Magician. This is due to mine and Miss Reysha’s power clashing together. All I could guess is that there’s always been a crack here but not visible and it was small enough not to cause anything.” Ivy explained as she knits her brows.

“And that crack might have been stretched, is what you are saying, Ivy?” Eiru reaffirmed Ivy’s doubts.

“I doubt it is only that. Why is there a small crack like that in the first place? The cause? Unknown. One thing we are certain of is that we cannot let it rest here any longer.” Reysha intervenes.

“Let’s start.” Ivy said as she laid down all the materials she brought.

Ivy brought out a translucent silver stone together with a red transparent pebble and other things.

“Demon Lord Ivy, what…are those?” Pulled by curiosity, Aspara directed a question to Ivy as she points at the two major figure.

“This silver stone is called Soul Spar. It is a material with mysterious properties that forges the very soul of a being. Back in my land, there are people who are able to draw out their soul as a form of a weapon and with this soul spar, we can forge it to strengthen it. My theory is, Miss Victoria’s weapons are of the same concept.” Ivy explained as she showed Aspara the stone closer that gives a vibrant colorful glow.

“How did you possess such item? Why did I only heard of it until now?” Aspara asked gleefully.

“I have brought it along with me when I left my land. It was actually an item given to me by a relative of mine. I happen to only stumble it back then.” Ivy replied.

“I see…too bad.” Aspara muttered as she sunk her head. “Then, what about the other stone. The red one.” Aspara then points at the other stone.

“This is a small fragment of a philosopher's stone. From the name alone, it’s obvious what it is.” Ivy said as she also showed the red stone. “Needless to say, this is going to be one of the two medium that I will use for the process.” Ivy added as she pulls the stone away as Aspara was about to grasp it in trance.

“Such expensive item…won’t be such a waste? Can’t we find another way around to close this dimensional crack? No, altogether, I don’t want any of this to happen.” And then, Aspara voices out her true thoughts about this predicament.

“This is not the time for you to act like a child, Councilor Aspara. Have you forgotten about your age or you simply don’t think the benefit of everyone?” Scolded by Meriyal with a pitying gaze to Aspara.

“I never said I am going to oppose this. Just shut up, you prideful princess!” Aspara immediately snarls back. “And don’t bring up my age here!” She added.

“Miss Aspara can be so shy about her feelings.” Eiru made a side comment with a smirk.

“Shut up, man girl!” Aspara once again laid her bare feelings of anger.

“……” Eiru looks back at Aspara with a sour expression.

“We can’t close this case if we do not do anything. Ivy, let’s start now.” Reysha beckoned the flabbergasted Ivy because of Aspara’s attitude.

“You are always this stoned-face, Einhart! It’s like you don’t specifically feel anything! Bastard shorty spouting all kinds of logical things with a straight face when you are just a brat!” This time, Aspara snarls at Reysha.

Reysha directs her sight to Aspara and the person herself immediately took one step back. Reysha walks towards her with the said stoned-face.

“What? Are you going to hurt me?!” Aspara glares at Reysha.

However, contrary to what she expected, Reysha took her hand gently and held it willingly.

“I’ve shaken your mentally and I won’t deny any fault. Aspara, I will express my apology to you. Cooperate with us and I shall I bid one wish of yours once this is over.” Reysha said in a serious tone.

In a sudden approach with gentle eyes, Aspara was lost at words. She never expected Reysha to do this.

“T-Then, if you really insist! I will remember that, okay? You will bid one wish of mine, right? Then, I am going to help not because I want to or anything, capiche?!” Aspara then turns her head away as she said those.

“Yeah, just stop doing that.” Reysha said as she once again returns to Ivy to do some actual work.

After their banter involving Aspara losing her cool, they started the spell to seal the gap. The requirements that Ivy needed are mediums with considerable magical energy where the power will be drawn.

That doesn’t mean that they have insufficient magical energy. The spell requires the presence of five people because of how complex it is, considering that the spell is too advance for one person in this land.

Reysha Einhart whose power is equal to a demon lord; Ivy Hellbeing who is an actual demon lord; Aspara who has trained in magic for countless of years now; Eiru who is used to be the demon lord’s aide and lastly; Meriyal Breille who is a princess and adept in magic.
