Chapter 117: The Night of the Spark 3

Chapter 117: The Night of the Spark 3

The flood of guest started dying down and after some time passes, Aspara arrives. She wears formal clothes as the councilor of the king. She is wearing her magician’s robe while hiding her outstanding cleavage from sight.

As for the reason she wanted to look conservative…

“It’s been a while, Mirsha!” Aspara said as she smiles at Mirsha Einhart.

“How have you been, Aspara?” Mirsha greeted as she hugs Aspara lightly with a quick kiss on the cheek.

“Ahem…” Seran coughs sparingly while trying to avoid any direct eye contact with Aspara.

“…Tsk, you gorilla. Why don't you drop dead already? Your life expectancy sure is troublesome as always.” Aspara curses at Seran with an intense hostile glare.

“That question…does it pertains to how many times you already tried to kill me in the past?” Seran nervously asked as he pales at Aspara’s glare.

“That’s an absurd claim.” Aspara simply brushed it off.

“This woman…” Seran furrowed his brows while taking a step back away from Aspara.

“Fufufu, you two are as lively as ever! Anyway, Aspara, please enjoy yourself tonight!” Mirsha said as she Aspara off with a smile.

Aspara walks towards the hall with people taking care of their businesses with one another. She looks around and found what kind of mess is already happening from the naked eyes of the populace.

“Two idiots, Yrsha and Spoof, are awkwardly conversing. Madam is surrounded by a flock of girls trying to get on his good side. Falikh and another boy are just on the corner as they minimize contact. And Reysha, the center of the attention, is greeting each noble house.” Aspara analyzes as she surveyed the surrounding.

“Falikh is already on standby and Reysha is gathering attention well. It’ll be up to me where to lure out the king from the crowd.” Aspara started thinking of the best possible routes.

“We need a situation to drag everyone’s attention away from him.” It is one of Aspara’s problems as of the moment.

As Aspara said before, it’ll be easy for her to manipulate the king’s decision but there are times where her voice won’t matter since that king has steadfast values. There are a lot of things that Aspara cannot do too and the reason why…

A moment later after Aspara arrived, the gaudy carriage arrives. A platoon of knights lined up on both side of the stairways and salutes in attention as the door of the carriage opens up.

From there, a man as huge as Seran Einhart climbs down. His bright beige hair is decorated with an ornate crown and he dons a luxurious red mantle with fur trimming. He is obviously not fat as his chest is held upright and his body build is outright sturdy.

Following from behind is his beloved queen, a woman with a slender hand were guided and reveals a woman of healthy skin color and body molded like an hourglass. She wears a thick capelet over her silken white dress as if the thin coldness in the atmosphere lays like a winter night to her.

“Aluria, my queen, is your dress still too thin?” The king asked his queen with a worried countenance.

“Your Highness Ridil, I suppose it is still. I apologize for I still can’t overcome the nightly chill.” Aluria said to Ridil with a sorry expression.

“Don’t be. I’ll request my good old friend here for warmer clothes for you. I am fairly certain he and his wife will be more than happy to help you.” Ridil assured his wife, the queen.

“It’s like you’ve taken us for granted, old Ridil.” Suddenly, Seran called out to the king.

“Hahaha! But, can you even say that if you see this queen of mine shivering, old Seran.” Ridil gave out a simple reply to Seran’s words with a smile.

If you come across this story on Amazon, be aware that it has been stolen from Royal Road. Please report it.

“Hmm, certainly, I shall ask the maids to bring her something warmer. Dear Aluria, are you feeling well?” Mirsha intervened before Seran and Ridil start another bicker.

“Lady Mirsha, as kind as always, I see. I’m sorry for causing you trouble.” Aluria gently bows her head to both Seran and Mirsha as she is way younger than the too.

“You are the queen, there’s no need for that.” Seran lightly worded it for her.

“That’s right, Queen Aluria. No one would even though that you already have sons because of your appearance.” Mirsha teased.

“”…Is that sarcasm?!”” Both Seran and Ridil said inside their mind.

Mirsha looking like she is only on her late teens is one thing but, Aluria, on the other hand, is also as youthful as Mirsha. However, since Mirsha is a lot more experienced because she is older, Aluria is prone to being shy as the only man she ever loved is none other than the king of Kerias, Ridil.

“Lady Mirsha, please stop with the flattery…” Through her healthy tanned skin, Aluria’s face becomes ablaze from cheeks to cheeks while she looks away and puts a hand on her lips.

“””…Still a fine piece of cake!””” Seran, Mirsha, and Ridil all thought.

“Oh, it’s the number one reason why charm won’t work on the muscle freak king. It’s Queen Aluria. Though, I really don’t hold anything against her. If I have something to say, I supposed I’d be very glad to welcome her as my wife too if chances arise.” Aspara thought as she took a sip of her drink.

“Damn, I want her as my wife too.” Falikh thought too as he saw what happened.

“…Wow.” Oliver said inside her head as she admires Aluria.

And it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say that almost all who saw Queen Aluria thinks of the same thing. It’s as her name plays, allure…

Not long after, Queen Aluria receives better and toastier clothing for her shivering shoulders.

As the King and Queen of Kerias come, people at the hall bow down them and greet them with the utmost respect. It’s the same thing to Reysha, the birthday celebrant, to courteously bow her head to the Kingdom’s king and queen and greet each other.

“Haaa…I hate this. I feel like a decoration with no real purpose.” Reysha complained inside her head.

All in all, the party goes as something standard and normal and to the eyes of someone like Reysha, taxing and stressful. Even if there are things like dancing and chatting, she sees no real joy in any of those.

Little did she know that her boredom will immediately elevate into another level of excitement…or nervousness.

A certain carriage came and immediately, the atmosphere that can be said peaceful yet lethargic becomes awfully heavy but heart pounding.

What’s abnormal about the carriage is it’s thrice larger than any normal carriage that was far seen in the face of Einhart Manor. It has even two doors to accommodate thrice as many as people.

Horses?

No, they are using a stronger version of horses called nightmare horse whose mane is blazing with dull blue flames and its eyes are glowing red.

“It’s here…” Seran gulps at the sight of the very entrance of abyss itself while Mirsha clings to his arm.

Suddenly, two coachmen opened the door of the carriage and reveal what one would call terrifyingly mesmerizing. A blood draining terror comes in a form of beauty and divine mixed together that it creates a harmony.

Comes out is a girl with a beauty not in the denizens of the living anymore. Her skin as pure as the snow and her blond hair is nothing comparable to human as it glows in response to the moonlight’s pure blissful serenity.

Her overly majestic crimson dress lays down up to the ground dazzles everyone, and the breathtaking presence that she dons announces that she no longer belongs to the realm of the mortal.

Her two colored irises of red and green gleams in delight as she saw how people welcome her.

On the other door of the carriage comes another existence that bequeaths great authority.

Though her plain countenance leaves so much to argue, her pure darkness of dress welcomes no complains to gawk at her elegance. Not only that, her eyes that leaves no soul untouched, on contrary with her said plain countenance, coldly watches the masses with no inhabitation of iciness.

She is definitely human but her presence is as great as the first girl and one would turn their head towards her direction without abandon.

“Um…W-Welcome…to our humble abo--!” Mirsha tried speaking but the two girls, Ivy and Meriyal walk past them while giving them a slight bow.

“Dear…” Seran holds onto his wife who just saw the terror brought upon them.

Setting foot on the great hall of the Einhart, Ivy and Meriyal immediately drew attention that even the king of the kerias himself gulps at their appearance.

“It is I, Ivy Hellbeing, grace you mortals with my presence! It is I, the Demon Lord of the Kingdom of Sirius, who now gallantly appears everyone!” Ivy announces as she puffs her chest out.

“I am the Fourth Princess of the Breille Kingdom, Meriyal Breille! I shall bestow all of you the permission to gawk at my very being.” Meriyal said as she looks down on everyone.

“This…is them…” King Ridil said to himself as he stares at the two biggest figures as he stands at the center of the hall.

“It is as Councilor Aspara said. They have presences that can overwhelm. Forget bowing down, they don’t even seem to try to greet me on their own accord. But…this is fine.” King Ridil inwardly thought as he began walking towards the two figures with Aluria on his side.
