Tears, tears…
Whatever the girl do, they won’t fall, no, she couldn’t let any tears to drip from her eyes. Is it because her eyes are dried?
No…
It is simply because the girl is repeatedly taught not to cry. She was conditioned not to cry by beating beaten several times. Tears won’t spill even as she recalls her life as a knife lodges deeply in her chest.
It is a life without meaning, without color, without vibrant that could put her life in a book. It is a life missing of happiness, missing of serenity, missing of even respite. She was just satisfied for someone ending her brief life of fourteen years.
She was a child born with no father to call and no mother to lean to. She was constantly neglected and if ever her mother looks at her, it was to nag her or worse, beat her up for no apparent reason. At an early age, she forgot how to cry.
She never longed for anyone’s attention, no, she no longer longs for it. She was tired and scared of what to expect from people. However, she understands the way of life and put on a mask to prevent additional troubles.
She was an honor student at school and a ragged doll meant for beating at home.
Her only escape from her reality is the joy given by watching anime shows and reading comics. It was only a world she deeply engrosses herself, a fantasy she knew that doesn’t exist.
Her mother constantly plays with many men and only bothered to keep her because of the benefits she receives from the government. In school, a lot of expectations piled up for her and pressure started pushing her around. She was unhappy, however, it is the only way she knows how to live her life.
She was way too young to leave her mother’s side and she does not know any relative of her mother, less, relative from her father.
It was not a sob story. It is just a story of her resiliency. She doesn’t cry at all despite the problems but she can’t vent everything to someone or something. She just further pursues her means of escapism.
As a well-known student at their school, the girl attracted attentions from men. She thought that if she gets into a relationship with a man, she could have someone she can rely on, however, she also refuses that notion.
A day comes when a man who is popular in the school for his handsomeness asked her to be his lover. Being not ready for such relationship, she refused.
With that, jealousy and hate started being directed to her while the number of men who wants her started piling up and she started hating handsome men subconsciously.
Until one day, a woman just burst up running to her out of nowhere with a knife drawn.
She didn’t dodge, she didn’t bother to. The girl only thought what face could the death has. The girl embraces the knife lodged in her chest as the girl who stabbed her runs away while limping as guilt started crushing her conscience.
What happened to the girl who stabbed her is unknown for her. She doesn’t care.
Everything begins to starts getting cold as the sharp pain slowly seeps. Her eyes are getting tired and her sight is getting hazy. Her breath under the cold temperature feels really chilly and the wound that pried her chest open started becoming numb.

The girl succumbed to death.
The next thing she knows is she is being cradled by someone…
She can tell, she was being carried by someone who is bigger. It was no shock for her to learn that she reincarnated, only disappointment as she realized that she will suffer another life of living.
The man who is carrying her has a brown hair and eyes. His face is visibly too handsome as he smiles happily at her. The man raised his right hand and waves it in front of her. She noticed that the hand was…mechanical or some sort as it is metallic.
“Look, isn’t she beautiful? Among all of our children, she’s the only one who got you eye colors! Not to mention she also inherited your blondness.” The man said as he shows that baby in front of a woman.
“Fufufu, of course, I am a beauty of the highest caliber and the Demon Lord. It is given to give birth to even to the last child with a perfect beauty.” The woman who sits in the bed said. The woman has eyes colors differing from each other in which the right eye is red and the left eye is green.
“Do you think she also got your vampire powers? I’m excited to see! Ahh…how precious.” The man said as he caresses that baby in his cradle.
“Hmph! Whether she has it or not, the way we care for her won’t change. What I am thinking right now is the name. Are you sure you still don’t want to use your family name?” the woman asked the man who the baby presumed as her new parents.
“It’ll sound extremely weird! Let’s just use yours.” The man protested.
“I see. Then, she is Ivy. Her full name is Ivy Nagasaki Hellbeing. We can leave out the middle name but still, I want her to acknowledge it.” The woman said as her hand also caressed the head.
“Ahahaha…if that’s what you want, then I got no qualms about it. Ivy, how do you do? I promised that I will spoil you!~ I am papa and she is mama, okay?” The man said as she pointed his self and the woman sitting.
“She seems not to cry…do you think there’s a problem?” The woman said while tilting her head.
“Little Ivy, you’re going to be fine. Come now, cry, laugh, and feel joy. That is why you are born into this world.” The man said while rocking the baby gently.
The sweetest words, words that the girl never expected to hear anymore are being conveyed to her by her new father. The girl, Ivy, started feeling her frozen heart being thawed by the warmth of the father who cradles her.
She never knew what a father would be like and how warm they gaze made her feel really uncomfortable, at the same time, she feels like she has been blessed by things she never had before in her life.
Ivy felt really confused but oddly happy. She was about to cry when…
“Ah, you’re here!” Her father exclaimed as someone entered the room. It was a man with dark hair and dark lethargic eyes. The man looks a little taller than her father and garbs himself with a brown coat with scarf around his neck.
“Un…you guys do know that I like children. Seeing…a newborn…I feel like this world…is once again blessed…” The black-haired man lazily said as he walks towards Ivy.
“Look, look, Ivy, it’s Uncle Su!” Her father pointed at the approaching man.
“Uwaaaah!” For unknown reason, Ivy started crying before the black haired man could touch her.
Then, that marked the start of Ivy Hellbeing’s new life in a fantasy world.

“Is it over?” Ivy asked as she gets up from Falikh’s lap.
“Fortunately yes, it only lasts for five minutes, a duration where you can finish a prayer.” Falikh explained as he also started standing up. “I didn’t think you’d lose consciousness. Hope you woke up a little…later.” Falikh timidly said.
Ivy immediately felt the unrest in the surrounding. She felt something amiss as Reysha and Aspara are looking up at something. Her gazes also followed theirs and there, she saw her.
Sitting atop of a roof while looking down at them, a woman who wears a steel mask over her eyes with brown short hair and dashing boyish attire is there.
“Oooh? So this is the Vile Demon Lord?” the girl spoke with arrogance.
“Are you…perhaps…the summoned hero?” Aspara asked as she readies her spell.
“Ahahaha! Don’t worry! I already grasped what’s happening here and I know that the Church of Tivat is something hideous. You could say that the Demon Lord and I have a reversed role here.” The hero laughs off.
“That…voice…where did I hear of it before?” Falikh said as he contemplated. Under the guise of the black knight, Reysha’s expression cannot be seen, however, she also has the same thought as Falikh.
“I am here for the Demon Lord. It is only a duty I am given by the Archpriest. Though I never met her before, I’ll just do the one job I am given. That’s why, Demon Lord Ivy, was it? Will you be my opponent with your life in the stake?” The summoned hero, Victoria asked.
