“Reysha, can you wait here? I need to get something in the faculty then we will be off.” Yrsha asked Reysha as they stood in front of the gate of the magic academy where Yrsha teaches.
“You know I hate this place, right? You could have dropped me off somewhere like a pub then do your thing here.” Reysha rebutted with a glare.
“This won’t take five minutes!~” Yrsha immediately left in glee.
“Hey! I haven’t agreed yet! There she goes…” Reysha grimace as Yrsha’s fleeting figure disappears from a distance.
Reysha leans against the gate’s wall and heaves a deep sigh.
They are currently at Sage’s Wisdom Academy in the capital of the Kerias Kingdom. This is also the place where Yrsha works as a magic instructor. It’s a prestigious academy that even people from the Mesola Kingdom and the Breille Kingdom comes for and enroll.
From the large gate of the academy, students march out in a group of friends while talking about a lot of things. They wear the school uniform’s blazer with its emblem and a standard slacks and skirts. Students here are considered elites, however, they are largely recognized if they managed to graduate. They are even acknowledged by the masters of magic giving them opportunities to become stronger.
Some of them can even start working at the castle as Apprentice Magician by the Head Court Magician. Some start dash their careers as adventurer which give them a broader option in life and some continue their studies and research in either inside the Academy or outside as an individual.
The basic studies and subjects are fixed and can amount up to four years, however, depending on the additional courses that one took, it may take additional years until graduation. The usual age to graduate is twenty-one years old.
However, there is special exceptions such as geniuses which perform greatly.
As Reysha called these facts about the Academy, someone called out to her.
“Ah, isn’t it Miss Einhart?” A man called out to her with to girls in each arm. The man is around sixteen years of age, the same as Reysha. The man, however, looks at Reysha with pitiful eyes as if he is looking down on her, literally and meaningfully.
“What does a dropout doing here?” One of the girls said with an amused tone. “Oh, my bad, you are a part of an upper household but you are a failure, for a daughter of a Marquess.” She added.
Reysha is indeed a daughter of a Marquess and the people who are talking to her right now are from lower household’s, however, they feel like they have toppled over those titles because of the prestige brought by being a student of the Sage’s Wisdom Academy.
“Hmm? Who the hell are you guys?” Reysha simply asked as she glances at the three.
The three gapes their mouth from Reysha’s immediate and blunt reply. Struck dumbfounded and confused, they started glaring at Reysha tinged with hostility.
“Don’t you remember me?! I am Rosch Heningford of the Heningford Household!” The man shouted in anger as he pointed at Reysha.
“Ah…you are that guy. My apologies, I don’t tend to forget names but if they are too insignificant for me, it kinds of fades from my memories.” Reysha said with eyes uninterested in them.
“You turned down my marriage proposal a year ago! You dare forget that? Now that I am part of the elites of this Academy, are you having second thoughts of turning me down previously? That’s why you are here? It can’t be helped, Miss Einhart. I am still open for negotiations.” The man pompously said as he slams his hand on the wall where Reysha is leaning.
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
“Hmm? Nah, don’t bother yourself. In the first place, I’m not interested. Now then, leave me alone.” Reysha bluntly said as she slips away from Rosch.
“You are just one stratum higher than me, Reysha Einhart. Aren’t you ashamed that someone like you dropout from this Glorious Academy?!” Rosch roared with reddened face due to anger.
“Hmm? Why would I be? Anyway, leave me alone.” Reysha said as she went to the other side of the gate’s wall and lean against it.
“You--!” Rosch exploded, however, before he could say anything…
“Reysha!~ I’m here!” Yrsha arrives.
Yrsha came running while carrying a bag full of books. Upon her figure, Rosch and his cahoots retreated. Reysha raises an eyebrow.
“What took you so long? Also, what’s with all those books?” Reysha asked as she pointed at the bag.
“Huff…huff…these…my…huff…books…” Yrsha, out of breath, replied while wheezing pathetically. Her countenance visibly became a bit pale and sweat trickles from her forehead.
“Goodness, give that to me. I’ll carry it for you.” Reysha said as she took the bag off from Yrsha’s grasps.
“Huff…huff…thank you…huff…you and Ersha…are…huff…so strong…” Yrsha complimented as she leans on Reysha on a chance of touching her cheeks.
“You are disgusting. Get away. You are full of sweat, I say. What are these books for anyway?” Reysha once again asked.
“Oh…since…summer break started, there will be lesser classes and I am not assigned to any summer classes this year. I thought of bringing some books with me home. Come to think of it, you dropout from this academy, right?” Yrsha replied followed with a question.
“Well, yeah, I did. I skip all of the classes since they have no substance at all until my grades fell. Well, I don’t care about that.” Reysha said as she started walking.
“Ahahaha! So Reysha-like.” Yrsha laughs dryly as she followed behind Reysha with shaky gaits.
The two of them started walking side-by-side once Yrsha recovered and started humming happily that garners Reysha irritation but paid no more attention other than a knitted brow.
While they are leisurely walking towards the place where Ersha is posted, Reysha opens another conversation.
“Yrsha, why did you decided to teach at that academy? It has an overblown title and I can’t get enough sense out of it.” Reysha asked out of the blue.
“Eh? That’s simple!~” Yrsha raises a finger with a smile.
“Simple?” Reysha repeated the word.
“There’s a lot of suckers in that academy, you see. Professors, students, and a lot of academy staffs. To be honest, they do have the basics of magic being taught to the students, however, as the difficulty rises, they are becoming somewhat nonsense for me. Like, even the instructor doesn’t even know what he is saying.” Yrsha said as she places a finger in front of her lips.
“Well, in that regards, we are the same, however, was that all?” Reysha pursued a more explanation.
“They pay extraordinarily high. It is safe, I can do my own research, and a lot of students tries to suck up to me. Also, a lot of male instructors are giving me free stuff in the pretext of companionship when it’s evident that they are after my title or my body.” Yrsha tried her best to stop her giggle as she thought of those moments silly and stupid.
“Hmph, you are having fun on your own, huh.” Reysha heaves a small sigh.
“Well, it’s not like everyone there is bad. There are some decent one like me. I am also glad that I learned from Master Aspara. Her magic theories made more sense to me so that’s why even though she disowned from being her disciple, I am still thankful of her. But, well, things happen and we really need to part ways in the path of magic. There’s also the issue of being an Einhart.” Yrsha chuckles in glee.
“You sure serve yourself well. Maybe I’ll tell Ersha that you make decent earning in the academy. Rather than make her spend on your books, start spending for yourself.” Reysha scolded lightly.
“Ehhh!~ But even if you do that, as long as I make a puppy eyes in front of Ersha, she’ll buy anything I want!~ You are no exception, Reysha!~ With just a small request from you, Ersha will do anything!~” Yrsha said in a high pitch tone that made it even more annoying for Reysha.
“You got to change that bad habit of yours.” Reysha simply replied with a frown.
“You are so antagonistic of these whims of mine, little Reysha!~ I swear I am cute as you when I was little too! Now I am just really beautiful and erotic!~” Yrsha teases.
“Yeah, beautiful. Erotic? That sounds like a sham.” Reysha answered back with a scoff.
“That’s so mean of you, Reysha!~ Anyway, let’s stop with this funny talk. Reysha, there’s one thing I’d like you to ask you.” Yrsha stops that made Reysha stops on her tracks too. Yrsha cocks her head forward to Reysha and squints her eyes playfully.
“What is it?” Reysha asked.
“Little Reysha, do you know someone called Black Knight?” Yrsha grins widely as she asked that question, however, the glint in her eyes shows a deep and passionate seriousness to them.
Upon receiving such question, Reysha almost showed an expression, however, she managed to suppress it. The only thing that came about is a sweat trickling down from her forehead.
