“Miss Alef, who are those people?” Derill asked with a dumbfounded face.
“None of your business…is what I’d like to say but since you are already involved with us, you shouldn’t be kept in the dark anymore.” Alef said as she scratches the back of her with an annoyed expression.
Currently, Alef and Derill are walking in the thick forest outside of the Kerias Capital and moving along with caution of their surrounding.
As soon as they escaped from their encounter with Falikh and Oliver and sensing the danger that the two can bring upon them, Alef and Derill immediately escaped as they already finished their task.
“I’m finally getting trusted!” Derill cheered as he sticks closer to Alef.
“For an insolent man like you…But, fine…” Alef knitted her brows as she shoved Derill’s face away.
“…?” Derill can only sprout a stupefied countenance but nevertheless, showed his enthusiasm.
“The man earlier is actually the son of Genesis.” Alef said with a smirk.
“Ahahaha! Miss Alef, even if it’s just a joke, I don’t think Lady Genesis will stay quiet about that!” Derill laughs at Alef’s revelation.
“No, I’m serious. Genesis is a widow and that man is her son. If you compare their features, blond hair, and rare velvet irises, things fall in place.” Alef explained.
“Ahh…” Derill’s face pales as he saw how serious Alef’s face is. “Are you sure they are not siblings or something?! Cousins? Or are you sure it’s not the other way around?! Lady Genesis looks so young to be a mother!” He added as his mind becomes stirred.
“There’s no mistake. Despite her young appearance, Genesis is actually a lot older than she looks.” Alef poured more salt to the wounds.
“No! I can’t believe this! She has a son that same age as me?! The pure and lovely Lady Genesis?!” Derill falls on his knees with a pale face.
“What’s lovely about that wench. If you ask me, she is truly uncute.” Alef scoffs as she left Derill behind.
“Ah, wait. Of course, that doesn’t give Lady Genesis any demerits!” Derill recovered faster than Alef anticipated.
“I see you are still disillusioned as ever, fool. That cold stony face of hers, you still think that’s pure and lovely?” Alef spoke in a monotone.
“Despite that, Miss Alef cares for her, right? Ahehehe, it feels like I am always in the way.” Derill shyly said while scratching the back of his head.
“…What in the hell does that suppose to mean?” Alef dismissed the thought immediately as she stayed quiet. She doesn’t want to entertain such thoughts.
Alef and Derill continued walking while having a conversation about trivial things until the sight of the cabin a little deeper into the forest came to their view
It’s a cabin by the lakeshore that has a view perfect for summer and autumn. The wide lake reflects the vast summer sky and brings a fresh breeze.
The seems to be originally a retreat house for a noble but by how the place was left with dust, it makes sense if it wasn’t used for several years now. Alef, being a maid in disguise previously, cleaned the whole place down to the very core.
The cabin is simply not made of wood but it is composed of bricks and cement as its foundation and large by size that it can actually house up to ten people.

The two entered the cabin casually.
Upon reaching the living room, they immediately saw the holy maiden resting on the sofa while wearing her vestment drenched in sweat. No, it is not simply drenched, she is literally bathing on her own sweat right now.
“Arrrgghhh! Stubborn as always! I told you to wear something else! I prepared some simple clothes for you, you wench! Derill get a basin filled with water! As for ice, I’ll handle it with magic!” Alef immediately snaps those words as she rushes at Genesis.
“Don’t…talk to me…heathen.” Genesis simply said as Alef immediately strips off her vestments in haste until she is left with her childish undergarments.
“You…” A vein popped out on Alef’s cheek but she immediately dismissed her growing anger and took out some of the supplement from the packs that they bought.
“What…poisoning me…?” Genesis uttered with pale countenance. Her golden hair is all sticky that it sticks all over her body and her eyes tinged with little bags under are listless.
“Stupid, this is supplements for you! Drink it immediately!” Alef shouted as she shoves everything into Genesis’ mouth before shoving a glass filled with water.
“……” Genesis only separated her sight from Alef to stare somewhere else.
“You really are hopeless. During summer times, you holed up at your sanctuary because it’s cool in there. Now, look at you.” Alef knitted her brows as she wipes off Genesis’ body with the freshly squeezed towel from a basin on top of a table in the room.
“Miss Alef, here’s the whoa--!” Derill brought the basin but immediately closed his eyes as soon as he saw Genesis wearing nothing but her undergarments.
“Just leave the basin there. I’ll handle the rest. Patrol the vicinity or something.” Alef ordered.
“Yes, ma’am!” Derill saluted with closed eyes before storming out of the living room.
As Derill left, Alef strips the last line of defense Genesis have, her undergarments and wipes her whole body deftly going from each nook and cranny without abandon. The woman herself is nonchalant about it because it is something the Alef does before.
“Takes you back, huh? You still talked to me when you still don’t know about my identity.” Alef said as she recollect the moments when she was still posing as Maria.
“……” Genesis didn’t respond and she didn’t even bother looking at Alef.
“…I need you alive. I’m just watching over you now. When you get more divine power, I will extract everything out of you.” Alef said as she glared Genesis, trying to pry into her listless eyes.
“……” Despite being bathed with a little bit of hostility, Genesis didn’t respond nor changed her expression.
“Still no reaction. Damn, this is getting really annoying.” Alef peeled her eyes away from the unlooking Genesis and continue on with her task.
Since leaving the village where they picked up Derill, Alef and Genesis never had any proper conversation. There are times where Alef is tempted to dig the dagger into the sleeping Genesis but she would stop seconds away before the act.
“Still, how can this midget attracts a lot of people even though she is completely underdeveloped. I’m glad that I took her away from that King before he lays any finger on her. His goal is definitely to violate this woman.” Alef inwardly thought.
“No, why am I glad? Well, of course, it might defile the divine power that she has, that’s all.” Alef shook her head several times before dismissing the thoughts again.
“What a bad service. My son does better than this.” Genesis said without making any eye contact with Alef.
“…?” Alef showed a flabbergasted countenance with widened eyes and gaping mouth.
“If anything, he takes everything in consideration before staring blankly at nothing.” Genesis added without, again, batting an eye to Alef.
“This wench…so cheeky.” Alef knitted her brows as she started wiping off the sweat from Genesis again, but now, gently and carefully, as if she is fiddling with something fragile.
Alef heaves a heavy sigh as soon as she finished cleaning Genesis before putting on the simple one-piece dress that she prepared beforehand. Its size fits perfectly as Alef has a perfect grasp of Genesis’ sizes.
After that, she tied her hair into a big bun at the top of her head to let her nape takes a breeze and let her seat on the sofa again.
“Here, soak your feet here.” Alef said as she takes Genesis’s feet and dips them on the basin full of water herself.
Alef then created small deformed cubes of ice from thin air and poured it into the basin where Genesis’ feet are resting.
Despite the sudden change in the temperature of the water, Genesis held off from jerking her body but the sudden twitching of her legs did indicate that she felt it.
“Oh, she does react to this sudden kind of sensation. Somehow, the gap in her personality…I find it…a little bit cute.” Alef thought as she stares at Genesis’s feet.
“Hmph, what a rough preparation for a service.” Genesis commented as she leans her back into the sofa.
“I take that back. This wench is definitely a jerk.” Alef immediately revised her thoughts about Genesis.
