Under the cloud of coldness and endless descends of snow, Reysha looks at the bawling Ivy who she just beat and given a taste of her Warhammer. Judging by her attack, the hardness and heaviness of the Warhammer, and how she strengthened her strength to the limits, it’s no wonder one would cry from so much pain.
She already returned the Warhammer to her dimensional storage and waited for Ivy to settle down from her saddened state for a demon lord. Most of her wounds and fractures seem to have recovered now but she just won’t stop bawling.
Reysha together with Falikh are infuriated by what Ivy did to the forest, however, Reysha herself couldn’t bring herself to inflict further harm to the girl who cries while calling for her father.
“I won’t harm you further so calm down.” Reysha simply said as she approached Ivy.
“Heh.” What only Ivy muttered as Reysha let her guard down.
Ivy immediately swings a kick to Reysha the moment she let her guard down and broke out in another grin. Reysha who didn’t expect Ivy’s crying wolf act was able to react with a block with her arm.
“You--!” Ivy’s kick connected but was still blocked.
“You fell for it! Hahahaha! Haha—ow...ow…Hahaha!” She laughs, however, her eyes didn’t even stop from crying that visibly shows that up until the very end, she is willing to force her bravado even with the unsightly cry earlier.
“Just how persistent are you?!” Reysha growled as she forced Ivy’s kick to fall to the side.
“Ow…I mean, persistent?! You just fell into my trap, and now! I shall put an end to this battle!” Ivy barked
“Time Stop!” “World Lapse!” the two used their cheat abilities at the same time in their desperation in order to break off the stalemate.
Unlike Ivy, Reysha has already reached the limit of her World Lapse and is now going to force herself to break her limit. She knows that she doesn't stand a chance with Ivy’s unknown magic and spell stored.
Time stop, a concept the completely freeze the flow of continuous movement, a power that defies that law of physics as the user herself moves in a world she can only see.
World Lapse, a concept that brings everything back in time for a short duration, a break in the natural law of movement while letting the user move in spite of the reversal phenomena.
The two powers tried to overlap with each other trying to overhaul the other one, a concept trying to overwrite another concept, a law defying power trying to defile another law defying power, both trying to deny the alteration of this world.
At that very moment, the outcome was already decided.
The space between Reysha Einhart and Ivy Hellbeing started to cracks. A force unimaginable exploded in front of them and blew them away from each other.
BAM!
Ivy and Reysha are blown away backward and rolled down to their respective directions. No power prevailed but instead created another distortion in this world.
Stolen novel; please report.
“What…the hell happened?” Reysha could only mutter as she tried to get up while enduring another throbbing headache. Falikh run over to her to help her get up because she was staggering.
“It seems that the two of you made something…dangerous?” Falikh said with uncertainty.
Reysha together with Falikh stares at it, the crack in the empty air that appears, a hollow space that seems endless and at the same time, shallow. It feels like something will be sucked and swallowed if someone attempts to go inside of it.
“That’s a…dimensional crack. It could…lead to another dimension unknown to us.” Ivy said as she approaches the crack. “However, it is uncertain if it will lead you to a safe place or not. God knows it might also send you to outer space.” She added as she also rubs her head and holds her flank where she was bashed by Reysha’s Warhammer.
“You…how can you go so far as to play dirty like that?” Reysha asked Ivy about her behavior earlier with a raised eyebrow.
“Hahaha! I, Ivy Hellbeing, will never admit defeat! I didn’t say anything about giving up, right?! Hahaha! My trap was actually a success and you let your guard down.” Ivy beastly said as she puffs her huge chest out.
“It seems to me that you genuinely cried your brain out.” Falikh said with a mocking smile.
“S-Shut your trap! I definitely didn’t cry and called my…my father! It was all an act!” Ivy reasoned with a little embarrassment.
“It’s impressive if it is really an act, however, it really looks like you really cried for a moment there. Well. I won’t pursue it any further. I want to be done with this.” Reysha inwardly said. “I am tired, let’s call this a draw and retreat. I am no match for you.” Reysha actually said with a little sarcasm. She also intended to make Ivy retreat with satisfaction.
“Y-Yeah! Let’s consider this a draw! I am going to let go of you for now! Hahaha!” Ivy didn’t take the hint of the sarcasm and believed that Reysha is actually a little scared of her. However…
Reysha jokingly tried to bring out the Warhammer again.
“Hiiii!” Ivy shrieks from the sight of the Warhammer. It seems she developed an ingrained fear and trauma for Warhammer and the very sight of it made her pale.
“A draw.” Reysha simply said as she returned the Warhammer.”
“I understand. It is a draw.” Ivy confirmed with her face returning to its normal fair complexion. “However, about this crack…” She pointed at the fissure in space and dimension.
“I am not versed with such kind of magicry. As far as I know, our magic system is different compared to yours and more advanced. Can you do something about it?” Reysha said as she observes the crack.
“I think I have some reference materials back at my personal library. I think I can probably fix this, however, my magic energy alone might not be able to cover it, even with you. We need a little more I guess since we are unsure of it.” Ivy explained with a little assurance.
“Well, at least it’s good news that you are responsible.” Reysha added a remark.
“That goes without saying. I did become a top ranking politic student back at the academy.” Ivy boasted again.
“They said you claimed the throne here at age of twelve. So…how old are you in your claims and what happened?” Reysha asked again with a raised eyebrow.
“...I flunk out when I was ten. Please don’t ask the reason!” She replied before making a tight lip gesture. “Anyway, this is the problem at hand! Geez, stop asking something personal!” Ivy blurted.
“I know, how about we call for Aspara’s help? She might also be a little knowledgeable about this.” Falikh interjected the conversation with a suggestion. However, Reysha only frowned at such notion.
“Aspara huh…as much as possible, I don’t want to ask her help, however, I think it is not safe to leave this here. I get it, let’s ask her the next time she visits.” Reysha agreed. “What about you demon lord? You won’t think of running away from your own mess, right?” Reysha directed a question to Ivy.
“Of course. It’s a bother to return to my castle at this point. Ah! The three girls at the mountain mentioned that there’s a mansion somewhere! I’d like to stay there for a while!” Ivy said as her eyes gleam with excitement.
“Is that so?! You can you can! We know where that is! Come, come! Let’s go! Let’s talk about so many things from our past lives shall we?!” Falikh also becomes excited too as he held Ivy’s hands.
“Ah! That’ll be great! Let’s go!” Ivy said as she followed Falikh’s skip.
Reysha just stands there with a face of utter surprise.
“Don’t casually invite someone as dangerous as her! More like, don’t add anymore headache inducing people in that place!” Reysha screams in her mind, but her anxieties and worries are found unheard even by the gods.
