Resting on an extravagant bed is Genesis who sleeps soundly with occasional sounded breathing. Her face shows satisfaction as she sleeps covered with piles of comfortable thick sheets that protect her from the cold weather.
Sitting in a chair beside the bed is Alef who is looking at Genesis as if she is a new species to her. She is currently holding onto Genesis staff while rocking back and forth as she racks her brain from what Genesis did.
As the bright light covered everything with Genesis at the core, everyone is thrown into confusion. The light was just brief, warm, and gave everyone a sense of protection despite feeling a little light-headed except Alef who experienced a heavy turmoil of vertigo for that moment.
When the light subsided, the Village Chief who momentarily stopped began frowning again at Genesis and marches towards her with his fist raised, however, before he could even start his strike, his two sons that are thought to be lost forever, started groaning in their sleep until they slowly rise from their bed, even the son he thought to be dead.
The Miracle that Genesis showcased cured and revived the Village Chief’s sons. The extent of the Miracle didn’t even end there. The Village Chief whose eyes are a bit bad became clear again. Most of the villagers outside who are also bathed in the light started cheering as their chronic back pains and such miraculously disappears.
Alef, without missing a beat, rushes to Genesis who in return for doing such task loses her consciousness, caught her in her arms. It was not due to the usage of her power but to that tedious travel in the cold that took a toll on her, not to mention her poor health.
The two sons are bewildered of such event and the Village Chief started crying and hugged his sons. The Doctors couldn’t explain what happened but they look at Genesis like she is a divine sent by the Gods.
Forgot a place to stay, Genesis and Alef were given one of the most extravagant vacant house fully furnished and was offered food as if they are being revered.
Gaining such place, Alef immediately laid Genesis down to the best bed.
“Your actions are really unthinkable. Do you really torment people for reverence or you selflessly save lives for it? Archpriest, why can’t I bring myself to end your life?” Alef asked herself as she watches Genesis in silence.
Alef touches the dagger in her pocket as she observes Genesis.
The words astounding and contradictory are no words to describe her but Alef is inclined to believe so. She might have known what Genesis is doing because of her servitude for three years but she is completely clueless about her goal.
“I could have done it far back then. My biggest mistake is becoming curious about you I guess.” Alef dejectedly mutters as she withdrew her hand from her pocket where the dagger is.
She admitted such flaw in her plans. Everything was perfect, from disguising herself from outward appearance to personality to her background. Everything was perfect but the only problem that arises is that Alef, one way or another, became a little attached to Genesis.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
Alef sprang up from her chair as three consecutive knocks brought her senses back to the situation. Without delay, Alef headed towards the front door and opened it without hesitation. From there, the Village Chief and his two sons behold themselves to her.
“We have come to personally give our thanks yet again for what you have done for us.” The village chief said as he and his sons bowed down as thanks.
“No, it’s mostly my sister who did it…” Alef meekly said as she still doesn't have any idea how to explain the huge discrepancy in hers and Genesis’s appearances.
“Fret not. We will be taking a step back in anything that personally involves the two of you. In fact, I couldn’t think of anything but gratitude to you and your sister.” The village chief once again said as he bows down together with his two sons.
“By the way, my eldest son is Fritz and the younger one is Derill.” The village chief follows as he introduces the two men.
“Yeah, I am Alef. My little sister is Genesis. Thanks for letting us use this house.” Alef returned a bow for being given a place to stay.
“It’s no problem to us. If I may ask, how is your little sister?” Derill asked the question. The village chief raises an eyebrow momentarily but follows it with a sigh.
“She is still sleeping. Is there anything you wanted to say?” Alef asked Derill.
“Yeah, I have decided. I heard that she brought me back from being a cold corpse. I basically owe her my whole life now at this point. I made up my mind, I want to serve her!” Derill, with a strong conviction in his eyes, said those words.
Alef was taken aback by Derill’s words. It’s not a simple matter to serve the Archpriest, no less, an archpriest fugitive from her own kingdom. A Bigger problem may arise and having another hand to go around may not be bad but things could go a little weird.
“Derill, are you really sure about that? Miss Alef and Miss Genesis could go anytime. You are basically saying that you will go with them? No, before we can even think about that, will they even accept it?” Fritz talked to Derill with stern voice of an elder brother.
“I am certain of it. Though I can’t deny that part of me wanted to stay, but I can’t deny too that I want to be of their servitude. And…” Derill’s words broke off.
“And…? Derill, you must have not…” The village chief started looking at his son with keen eyes.
“Oh, I am certain of this father. Derill, go and fulfill your long-awaited romance.” Fritz who realized Derill’s intention supported him.
Not following the flow of conversation, Alef quizzically tilted her head to the side.
“It will not be up to me to decide whether you can come or not. I mean, it will be a decision that I and Genesis should talk through. At the very least, I can throw in some advantageous points that can convince Genesis a little. Is that okay with you?” Alef explained towards Derill.
“Yes! On top of saving my life, it’s a little selfish and absurd of me to be asking this kind of favor so yeah, I have no complain whether you decided against it or not.” Derill happily said. His charm as a man in a phase of becoming an adult gave a charm.
A man of above average height and lustrous dark brown hair. His eyes are tinged with crystal clear blue and his facial features is nothing short of handsome. However, his most striking feature is that he has quite an experienced body forged by work.
Alef could see the advantages of bringing Derill. What she fears is that eventually or as soon as possible, Derill will learn the truth about her and Genesis. A part of her kind of wanted to see Derill becoming heartbroken upon learning that Genesis is already a mother of a man near his age.
Quite a comedic setup but she can’t risk anything for laughs.
“It’s fine. Let’s bring him. I have a need of manservant anyway.” A haughty voice suddenly rang out. A sweet, childish, but haughty voice declared such.
Alef turns around and from the entryway of the house comes Genesis leaning on the wall of the house with her shaky legs and wearing nothing but the oversized sleeping garments.
“I have no need of spawn of a devil as my servant. I want to have a human one as possible.” Genesis declares so.
