Chapter 48: The Cult of Thenea 5

Aspara and Co. managed to track down Arytorio’s destination which is kind of simple. They found out that Arytorio headed to the church and stealthily followed him.

“So, what are we going to do after tailing him this much?” Mika asked a very important question which made Eiru and Aspara look at him.

“As for me, I need to keep the damn fool alive. If I can, I can just leave him here to die, however, he is crucial for the Kerias Kingdom, especially for the king and queen.” Aspara said while withholding some of her motives behind.

“I…uh…I want to talk him out of this. I am responsible for this but I don’t know how will I approach him…” Eiru said with hesitation weighing on his shoulder.

“Goodness Eiru, so you haven’t thought about what to do. For now, why don’t we tail him until you make up your mind?” Mika suggested with a sigh. Eiru nods his head heed Mika’s advice.

However, as they are trailing Arytorio’s path where he has gone to with Aspara’s magic, two figures appear out of nowhere that made Aspara jumps back and in hindsight, the bandits ran behind her instinctively.

“Tsk! So they are also here huh… I guess that’s already given.” Aspara said as she clicked her tongue from the two figures that appeared out of nowhere in the young night filled snow.

In front of them stands two girls with defining black hairs that as silky as the night sky and yellow eyes that shine brightly like a gemstone. Their visage under the moonlight could not be described anything else as panthers, an animal that most of their family members look like.

“Ersha and Yrsha Einhart…” Aspara mutters under her breath as the two sisters started seething with intimidation.

“Good day to you, Master Aspara.” Greeted by Yrsha Einhart who wears an iconic black robe that falls up to the ground and seemingly been dragged.

Under her robe is like Ersha, a well-endowed body, however, she is a little shorter than Ersha and a bit taller than Reysha. Unlike her two sisters who don fierce and cold eyes, Yrsha has drooping and seemingly sleepy eyes. Her hair is cut short that only grows up to her armpit.

Yrsha Einhart is Aspara’s former disciple in magic, however, Yrsha’s interest deviates from Aspara and they gain distance from each other since then. Unlike Ersha and Reysha, Yrsha spends most of her time indoors and love reading and such in her own library.

She works as an instructor in Sage’s Wisdom Academy in the Capital of Kerias Kingdom and is widely popular among co magicians for her inherent talent for leading and talent with magic using black arts and arcane runes. However, she falls short when it comes to an actual battle, especially against Ersha and Reysha.

“What is your business here, Councilor Aspara?! Also, why are you tailing Prince Arytorio Kerias?” is questioned by Ersha with a domineering voice as if she is commanding people.

“T-These two….are they perhaps related to…” Reld asked Aspara in a low voice as not to agitate Ersha and Yrsha.

“That’s right. Those two are also Einhart. Not may be as strong as Reysha, however, I don’t have the confidence in my abilities when facing Einharts.” Aspara replied as sweat started forming on her forehead.

Yrsha alone could defeat Aspara in a close battle, however, if Ersha is in the fray, she won’t even last a minute.

“Damn! Might as well try to reason out with them!” Aspara said to herself as she tried to calm herself and walks towards the two.

“I am here for the reason I heard the young Prince has gone and traveled here, to Mesola. I made the initiative to follow him here to keep him safe when I heard about it.” Aspara answered Ersha’s query.

“………” A moment of silence looms over as Ersha stares at Aspara which compelled the latter to grovel down, which she didn’t. “Councilor Aspara, I don’t like games you see.” Ersha stated as her eyes stare down at Aspara.

“Master Aspara, if my apprenticeship has proven something about you is that you will never bother to come here even if the prince dies. So, what’s your motive? Is it related to those men behind you?” Yrsha said as she took a look at Eiru and co.

“I feel bad for trying to squeeze out something from you. Don’t think the king would let the Prince waltz into another kingdom on his own again without proper guards. Well, for us, we are to watch from distance without him knowing.” Ersha said as she approaches Aspara and places her hand on Aspara’s shoulder. “I don’t care about your business here. I shall let you lot go this time.” Ersha whispered to Aspara’s ear that made her broke out in a bone-chilling shiver.

With a warning, Ersha and Yrsha left Aspara and her group.

As soon as their figures are out their senses, Aspara collapses on the snowy ground as her knees gave out.

“Damn those Einharts!” She cursed as she tried to get up but to no avail, she failed.

“Sis, let us help you.” Sod said as he took Aspara’s right arm.

“Good job surviving that Sis.” Mes said as he took Aspara’s left arm.

The twins pulled Aspara upright and assisted her in standing up. Mika, Eiru, and Reld then approached the shaken Aspara.

“What should we do now?” Eiru asked Aspara

“What should we do you say? We heed their command and stop following the prince or find a way to approach him. If you can think about it, then do it.” Aspara said while steadily gaining her gait again. “I’ve had enough for today too and I want to rest…” she said solemnly as she looks down.

While the fiasco in the alleyway traverses, a certain carriage also enters very late at the gate.

“Princess Meriyal, it seems we have arrived now.” said by Lala Forchure, one of Meriyal’s escort. Lala peeks on the tired and sleepy Meriyal who dozes inside the carriage. “I apologize for the weary and long travel.” She followed.

“It’s fine. We need to start diplomatic relations with the Mesola Kingdom after all. Our people will starve at the harsh weather of winter because of the lack of necessity. We also need to request ambassadors to stay in our land so we can communicate far better… and we…need…healers too…” Meriyal said, however, tiredness overcomes her body and she slowly leans back on the couch of the carriage.

“How’s the princess?” is asked by a woman riding on a horse, Ries D’Levierre.

“She has fallen asleep. Ries, we need to have a quick accommodation. Setting up a schedule with the king of Mesola might take a while so we need a place to stay fitting for the princess.” Lala explained to Ries.

“I understand. I’ll round up a few men and ask for the best hotel around.” Ries replied to Lala and rode off towing few knights with her.

Meanwhile…

To another side of a group…Falikh’s group…

“Waaaahhhhh! Dodge! Dodge!” falikh screams as he is being princess carried by the black knight, Reysha.

“Sir Falikh, this is your fault! You said your disguise will be perfect!” Ivy complained as she dodges an arrow flying towards her.

“I never thought that I am still popular! And my face is posted all over the city!” he replied with a desperate scream as soldiers riding horses shooting them with arrows.

“It takes more than a mustache of disguise Sir Falikh!!!” Ivy complained again. “What’s next?! Glasses?! People aren’t idiots!” she added.

Their situation thus far is that…they were halted by patrolling soldiers around the perimeters of Mesola Kingdom’s plain.

Our greatest main character, Falikh, played it cool by pretending that Reysha and Ivy are part of his harem, however, just like what Ivy said, Falikh’s mustache wasn’t enough of a cover for him…

As for Reysha…

“I am wearing this damn armor again!” is what she explodingly said inside her head.

At the top of the highest watchtower, Victoria, the summoned hero, sits as she looks at the whole capital.

The snow doesn’t bother her, the temperature doesn’t bother, the height of the watchtower doesn’t even bother her, her eyes only gleams at the sight of the beautiful moon and the dancing aurora far from that place.

“Heh, it seems everything is going to be rowdy now.” She said with a scoff.

Victoria reaches her hand towards the night sky and suddenly, her palm glowed with divine power. A weapon materializes from her hand the exudes so much power.

“Now then, I wonder how entertaining this festival would be?” she said as she points the weapon, Kalashnikov’s Automatic Rifle with a golden outline towards the moon.

"Bang!"
