Three days have passed since the battle came to an end with no more than one casualty. The only one who was biting at the end of the rope in the whole fiasco was Reysha, the birthday celebrant herself, in which greatly incurred the anger of both Seran Einhart and Ersha Einhart.
Even if they rage, no favorable result shall be yielded because no people could be responsible for the unfortunate event that transpired that night.
The Einhart Manor wasn’t badly damaged to the point of becoming unusable, however, one shall not permit it for Reysha to rest in such a godforsaken place where a recent battle happened. Currently, it is under repair and it would take a while before it becomes passable for the standards of the overprotective father and sister of Reysha.
With how matters need to be settled, the Einhart family was required to move to the capital and take a temporary residence under King Ridil in the castle.
Moving along with the plan, Falikh and the others resume their host club activities and kept extorting from the young nobles of the Kerias Kingdom. Their group also kept their eyes peeled and senses open to keep watch of any sudden events.
In regards to what King Ridil and Queen Aluria learned, they knew that secretly gathering everyone involved in the incident is necessary. What makes matters complicated is the sudden appearance of Archbishop Genesis, a head figure that could cause a massive commotion not only from the Kingdom of Mesola itself but also to the Kerias Kingdom.
She is, after all, a symbol of faith and reverence throughout the three kingdoms settled in by humans.
And worst of the worst, an impending war that was declared by the very culprit of the whole mess, Exodus, a girl whose very existence defies logic and threatens to destroy the balance of the land.
Taking everything into account, it wasn’t even questionable as of why King Ridil wanted this matter to be discussed.
Currently, the sun has just roses an hour ago and the capital is bustling as usual without much care of what to come yet. The news about the war is still kept in the dark even to the nobles and other militaristic section of the kingdom.
In one of the elegant rooms in the castle of the Kerias Kingdom, a listless Reysha is peering into a window with her hand supporting her chin while sitting. She is watching the clamor of the maids in the westward of the castle where most plants and flowers are tended.
“I’ve been stuck in this room for the past three days. Now I’m kind of thirsty for some interaction with anyone as long as they are normal and alright in the head.” Reysha lamented followed by a soundless sigh.
As Reysha let those words out, the door to her room creaks open and a certain someone entered the room.
“Unfortunately for you, Einhart, this place has become a cesspool of oddballs ever since Falikh and his group came. That said, you and your whole family are included in that category.” Aspara said with a mocking tone with an impish smile.
“You jest, Aspara. For me, you are one of those people I can talk comfortably with. After all, you are the one who cares for this kingdom and its people the most.” Reysha said with a faint smile as she walked towards her bed and sat.
“D-Don’t smile like that! You…You and your mother are always doing that! Captivating me and entangling me with your smiles…you two are the worst!” Aspara shouted while reddening from one ear to another.

“Do I really resemble mother that much? Not that I have any issues with it but I’d like you to confirm it yourself.” Reysha tilted her head while she started curling on a strand of her messy hair.
“Hmph, I’d say you fell short in elegance but nonetheless, you and Mirsha have a lot of appealing similarities when it comes to appearance. Don’t ask for any further or I’ll hit you!” Aspara warned while covering her face to conceal her embarrassment.
“I can see now where you are coming from but please do remember that I am not my mother. Also, isn’t it fine if you direct all of your anger towards father? Actually, no one will complain if you do.” Reysha humored with Aspara.
“Haa…seriously, you’re a heartless daughter to that man but I guess that’s what I like about you.” Aspara replied with her renewed composure as she lets out a grin.
“Well then, let’s get to the topic. While I am pleased with a good conversation for a while, this matter about Exodus is of utmost priority.” Reysha’s eyes sharpen as she talked about Exodus while grimacing.
“As expected, Ridil is now calling for everyone involved in that incident, including Falikh and Madam Fleur. The turnabout of the events needs further details too from the people who fought Exodus. That means you, Demon Lord Ivy, and the Summoned Hero Victoria. Though there’s a suggestion that you are to be suspended from this meeting.” Aspara shrugged while she leans on the wall.
“I bet it was father who wanted me not to come. I’ll come though. There are a lot of things I wanted to throw on the plate.” Reysha replied while scratching the back of her head in utter irritation of Seran’s action.
“You can’t blame him for this. Knowing that you, one of his daughters, the only one gravely injured made him restless and extremely anxious. He was so worried that he standing in the hallway next to your room at night just to see if you are doing well.” Aspara also frowns upon such a pathetic act of Seran.
“He did that? Talk about idiotic.” Reysha can only sigh. Because of what she heard Reysha willingly let her body land on the soft bed behind her.
“What kind of monster is that Exodus to leave you battered like that and managed to escaped from Victoria’s full power…? Actually, wasn’t it by sheer luck that you didn’t receive fatal injuries?!” Aspara asked in an anxious tone.
“No, I was at death’s door after my brief encounter with Exodus. My shoulder was barely functional and one of my legs is twisted in the weirdest way. I also had ruptured innards that caused severe internal bleeding. It was only a matter of minutes till I die back then.” Reysha recalls all of the life-threatening injuries that she received at that night.
“Wait! This is the first time I’ve heard of this! Did you tell it to anyone else?! How did you even survived?!” Aspara widens her eyes in utter shock as she heard about what Reysha has really gone through.
“Only Ivy and I know about it. I think it is fine to tell you though. At least, I need a little assistance from you.” Reysha said with her brows furrowed.
“Einhart, what…did you do?” Aspara nervously asked.
“Ivy has to give some of her blood to me to fix my ruptured innards. The reason she didn’t bother much with the external bruises is that I might become too intoxicated with vampire blood.” Reysha said while showing Aspara some of the scars ridden on Reysha’s leg.
“You ingested a vampire blood…?” Aspara slowly walks towards Reysha while staring at her with emotions none can comprehend but astonishment.
“Even if I didn’t overdose with her blood, there are some effects that started manifesting. For example, sunlight has become increasingly annoying in my eyes. At night, I become restless, like an impulse awakening. Worst is that my body temperature has become lower than normal. So far, there’s no craving for blood or anything.” Reysha recounted her experiences for the past three days confined in her room.
“So…you are afflicted with something like Vampirism. I do have some research about it from the past so I can look up for it, however, we should directly ask the person who caused you this herself.” Aspara suggested while placing a finger on her chin.
“I thought so too but, I haven’t seen Ivy for the past days. Well, matters not as she needs to come later in the meeting. Then, we can discuss it.” Reysha said while she buries her face on the pillow beside her head.
“Einhart…aren’t you getting too sloppy?” Aspara immediately noticed that Reysha is acting way too different than usual.
“Hmm? It must be the effect of the vampirism. I’m getting a lot sleepier in the day than night…” Reysha immediately brushed off Aspara’s question.
“…Are you sure you are going to be okay?” Aspara knitted her brows as she questioned Reysha’s reliability for the day.
