Reld, Sod, and Mes saw that Lala and Ries were struck by an arrow. One of the arrows struck Lala on the upper right of her back. The arrows fired are enchanted with magic that easily pierced her armor.
However, Ries who reacted at the last millisecond was able to shift her body to a considerable degree and was only hit on her shoulder, however, like the arrow that struck Lala, it was also enchanted with magic.
Reld froze on the spot as Lala and Ries fall off from their horses but Sod and Mes eyes sharpen like falcons as their eyes search the location of the enemies.
After the initial shot, arrows are fired towards Ries and Lala again.
“Damn! This is…Kerias Magic arrow?! Lala dodge!” Ries shouted as she tried to dismount from her horse.
To no avail, Lala reacted poorly to the ambush and her right leg was struck. Because she was not paying attention to it and is concerned over Lala and to Meriyal who is inside the carriage, Ries was shot on her right flank and she fell to the ground.
As what Ries said, it is Kerias Magic Arrow, their signature move in war. The magic enchanted arrow will dig to the flesh of the target and burns it. As such, being struck by two of it will be a hell of pain.
“Guh…it…it burns…” Lala could only mutter as she falls from her horse seemingly losing consciousness from the sudden shock of pain.
“Lala, Ries! Come inside the carriage! Hurry!” Meriyal shouted as with an extremely worried face towards the two. However, her order was not carried out as the two are incapacitated.
“Guah!” shouted by a man. Meriyal immediately realized that the coachman was also shot but different from Lala and Ries, the man has an arrow stuck in his head that seemingly killed him in an instant.
Seemingly losing the will, Meriyal collapses on the couch of the carriage…
“No way…is this…the end of the line…?” Meriyal could only mutter weakly.
However, she failed to remember one thing…
The existence of those men who branded themselves as bandits…
“Dick! Grab the rein of the Princess’ carriage! Kick that dead guy or whatever! That’s just deadweight anyway!” Sod shouted as he jumps at the left door of their carriage.
“Ahahaha! That sounds so morbid! Deadweight!? Literally! Anyway, Dick! Go!” Mes also shouted as he also jumps at the right door of the carriage.
CREAK!
Suddenly, Sod and Mes pulled the carriage doors by pulling it with their weight and feet kicking it. As soon as they tore off the carriage’s wooden door, they immediately run towards Lala and Ries with the door in their hands.
“OOuuuuhhhHHH!” Sod shouted as he planted the carriage door in front of Lala.
“ZuuuuuHH!” Mes also did the same thing.
As soon as they planted the torn carriage door, they immediately grab the two wounded knights from the ground and pry open Meriyal’s carriage.
The two already knew that the wooden door won’t do any resistance to the enchanted arrows. Their real goal was to confuse the assassins who are shooting the arrows.
Sod and Mes, in just a few seconds, as soon as they saw the second arrows coming, determined the locations of the assassins. They immediately blocked the assassins sight from Lala and Ries to momentarily confuse them and give them the leeway to rescue them.
“Coming through!” “Pardon the intrusion!” The twin enters Meriyal’s carriage and laid Lala and Ries inside.
“Dick!” “Hey, Dick!” The two consecutively said as they beckon him to move.

“Dammit! I just want to count some coins and I am in this turmoil! For my kingdom!” Reld shouted as he runs towards the place where the coachman is. As soon as he steps on the seat he kicked the dead away from the reins. “Sorry! I’ll have you buried properly later!!” Reld apologizes.
“Way to go Dick!” Sod complimented him for the evil deed.
“Now fast! Turn right as soon as we passed that stupidly big house!” Mes gave direction to Reld. “Trust us, we know this place like the back of our hands!” he assured.
“Shut up! Stop calling me Dick!” Reld said as he whips the horse to run.
The carriage runs faster than ever as Reld crazily handles the reins.
As soon as they set off, Sod and Mes peek to the back and saw three figures of men that jumped down from the shadows they are hiding. The men have weirdly curved swords…
The carriage they were riding earlier is now being ridden by the three men and immediately pursues them.
“Uggh…Lala…Meriyal…” Ries weakly mutters as she tries to reach out for something.
“Mes, we need to do something about them.” Sod exclaimed.
“Oh? A running carriage operation? Not bad! We might as well take off their armors…” Mes said as he immediately unfurls their armors.
“Excuse us. No bad intention added, okay? We’re going to patch you two. We know some first aid knowledge.” Sod said with sincerity. He knows the seriousness of the situation but oddly, a smile is plastered all over his face.
“Hey, you two! Don’t do anything to those gallant knights!” Reld said with panic painted all over his face.
Upon reaching the stupidly large house, Reld made a sharp turn to the right. The path changes to a much narrow one. Upon the new path, Reld sped up.
“Hey, Princess! Are you okay?!” Sod shouted as he lightly taps Princess Meriyal.
“Where does this path leads?! Miss Aspara said that after we retrieve her, we should make haste to get back to her.” Reld shouted.
“Dick! Can’t you slow down a little?! These two girls here have serious wounds!” Mes shouted as he patches Lala Forchure and Ries D’Levierre’s wounds.
“I can’t! We are still being followed! Where did Mika go in this situation?!” Reld shouted as he bit his lip in vexation. Following from behind is another carriage, the carriage of their foes.
And so, a game chase has initiated with the Princess Meriyal’s life is at stake. But the said princess seems to be in so much shock that she still doesn’t respond to their calls.
Meanwhile, the church where Falikh and Aspara further delve deeper towards the Sacred Sanctuary…
“Hey…I said hey!” Aspara angrily calls to Falikh. However, Falikh didn’t respond to Aspara’s call.
After they left Mika, Falikh enters one of the inner halls of the church. They walked to the furthest room in the hall. What beholds her on that room is a bedroom, a room where the scent of a woman, particularly young, wafts.
At this point, Aspara got freaked out by Falikh’s knowledge of the place, specifically upon entering this room.
The reason is as soon as they set foot, Falikh immediately heads towards a large closet. As Falikh opens it, cute underwear and undergarments with flowers and butterfly designs aimed for young girls were seen. It made Aspara really confused.
Falikh reaches out to something further in the closet and…
CREAK…
The panel of books to their right was shifted and another flight of stairs going down was revealed. At this point, Aspara calls out to Falikh many times.
“Stop ignoring me!” Aspara’s calls were in vain…
At the end of the stairs, behold to them a new place…
“This is…” Aspara mutters.
“The Sanctum of Divines, a place where revelation and prophecies and even miracles can be transmitted.” Falikh finally answered Aspara.
“The…energy here is…how do I say this…weird…” She said as she began thinking to herself.
The Sanctum of Divines, a place with pillars of purity stands along the path towards the real altar of the Deities. The floor is painted with archaic symbols that glow in blue light and condensed energy floats as a form of a wisp in the air.
Aspara’s legs are shaken by the sight.
Even though the place seems to be underground, a bright light fills the place like they are just outside on a sunny day.
“What…is this…?” Aspara can no longer hope to explain any of the phenomena in front of her.
“Welcome back, my child. Welcome to my sanctuary, stranger from a foreign kingdom, the woman of unfaithfulness.” Greet by a girl in the very front of the altar.
“You…this place…how in the world…!” Aspara was about to say something when suddenly.
“I have not given you the authority to speak. For the time being, kneel down.” The girl said as she taps the end of her golden staff that stands taller than her to the ground.
A vibration in the air was released and suddenly, Aspara and she only was immediately brought to her knees.
“Wha--?! I can’t…even speak?!” Aspara shouted in her mind. She tried to fight the force pinning her down but the very least she can do is to look up a little and lay her eyes upon the young girl clad in pure white vestment with archaic golden designs and wears a tall hat.
What Aspara noticed is that the girl is so young that no one will think that she is the Archpriest. Her guess is that she is around thirteen years old. Her big and rounded velvet eyes spare no attention to her but oddly, it was the most charming thing she ever saw. Her hair was blond, the same hue as Falikh.
Then she realized…
“Miss Aspara, the girl you see in front of us…is the one called the Archpriest. She holds the highest position in the entirety of the Mesola Kingdom…higher than the king himself. She is also called the Eternally Youthful and Unchanging.” Falikh halted for a moment.
“Her name is Genesis, my…mother…The Blessed One.” Falikh said with a bitter tone.
