The Capital of Mesola Kingdom was about to start the parade for the arrival of the summoned hero, however, one problem is that the parade won’t start without the presence of the hero, Victoria.
The people are having doubt of the parade too from the very start. The weather keeps getting sour and the coldness seeps to anyone’s hide, even with a thick layer of clothing. The food stalls never cease to open up for the opportunity to sell their specialties until there are no longer people walking by.
In this questionable weather, a disturbance occurs, an inhuman battle was initiated that further delayed the parade that has not even started yet. In the sky of the Mesola Capital, a figure of a knight covered with darkly shaded metal armor flies all over the place as a beautiful woman with black hair chases him. Behind them is another woman of the same unspeakable demure that casts spell unknown to the mass.
“Fall! You are going to fall right here right now!” Shouted by Ersha as she swings her sword towards the Black Knight who is flying in the sky with flight magic.
“Ersha, back off a little. I am going to restrain his movements.” Warned by Yrsha as her incantation ends and magical power bursts from her.
Dozens of pitch black chains rise from the twelve arcane runes that she set up while Ersha was stalling the black knight. The chains started finding its way to the Black knight with the intention to bind him.
The black knights fly faster than ever as it evades the chains and soars through the sky covered with dark clouds, a sign of a blizzard reigning over the town even though it is midday. The parade that was prepared for the hero was stalled and panic rises everywhere.
“I never thought I’d experience Ersha and Yrsha’s combo! While Ersha aggressively attacks without abandon, Yrsha tries to bind the enemy. And this is what annoying about Yrsha’s binding, it is a like puzzle where you need to move to a certain place to avoid it!” Reysha said inwardly as she dodges another assault from Ersha. After Ersha’s attacks, she moves away from Reysha as a considerable distance.
The binding black chains started chasing Reysha. It swirls around and clanks with every sharp turn. The main problem with the chains is that it is ethereal. It won’t coil with each other and won’t destroy anything it crosses path with. It will only fully materialize when the target is caught.
However, for Reysha, she already knows how to counter such spell.
She imbues her sword with magic that coated it with bright light. As the chain immediately closes into Reysha, she dances in the air and swings her sword upward that immediately broke the wave of chains.
“You are an amazing foe, Black Knight. To immediately deem how to counter my Luxus Delay, I wonder who you are under that helm.” Yrsha playfully said as she floats beside Ersha.
“I believe such tedious talk isn’t needed, Yrsha. Please don’t speak with it again.” Ersha said as she brandishes another sword. She now changes her stance into a dual wielder, a sword of silver steel and a sword of the night sky.
“How cold. You don’t even treat the black knight as someone but a thing now. Where’s the dignity in that?” Yrsha spoke with soft tone contrary to her raging magical power as she casts another spell.
Once again, Reysha naturally didn’t respond to it because it is a dead giveaway of her identity. She could show who she is under that helm but that might make Ersha faint from shock. Besides, she may bring great dishonor to her family so it is unquestionably not an option.

“Such thing doesn’t need dignity!” Ersha howled as she dashes towards Reysha again. Her approach is far more aggressive than ever that it caught Reysha off guard momentarily.
The first sword in Ersha’s right hand was able to topple Reysha’s sword and the other sword in Ersha’s left hand barely made Reysha’s throat its sheath.
“Dear Sis, five seconds.” Yrsha reminded Ersha.
“I never would have thought that my two biological sisters in this world will be aiming for my throat…literally!” Reysha inwardly said as she dodges Ersha’s fierce attacks. She parries Ersha’s attack up until now. She cannot make a decisive move as she is constantly wary of Yrsha’s spells but cannot make a counter against it as Ersha is in front.
If she focuses on Ersha alone, Yrsha’s traps may get the best out of her and fish her to a nasty binding.
And World Lapse is a last-minute evasive maneuver…
“Dear sis!” Yrsha shouted.
“Got it!” Ersha responded and quickly swings both swords sideways as she parted with Reysha.
“Here it comes…” Reysha can only say it inside her mind and can only prepare herself mentally against another one of Yrsha’s spells.
In an instant, cobwebs started flinging all over the place.
“Lady Trap.” Yrsha said as the spell takes effect, a spell that binds the target inside an array wall of cobwebs to limit their movements, however, unlike real cobweb her cobweb drains magic energy upon contact and cannot easily be destroyed.
Reysha is aware of the Lady Trap effects and became even more cautious about it. She observes the surrounding, however, she felt something more amiss as another wave of spell was cast.
“Labyrinthian.” Yrsha said that immediately created small dimensional disturbances on Reysha’s perimeters.
A spell that will invert the target's perception of surrounding that will greatly confuse their sense of direction by sealing their eyesight in a labyrinth kind of a place where all directions are inverted.
“That’s quite nasty… Yrsha…” Ersha muttered as she observes keenly the phenomenon happening in front of her. She tightly held the two swords in preparation for a chance to hack the Black knight.
“Well, black knight! Let’s see how you will handle this!” Yrsha exclaimed as she watches the spell slowly consumes the black knight. A small grin broke out on her lips as the spell gets stronger as she pours more magic into it.
For Reysha, it was not even a problem as she learned how to counter Labyrinthian long time ago and how to destroy Lady Trap. She learned those methods a long time ago as she has read Yrsha’s grimoire.
Behind Yrsha’s every spell has also spell of reversal that only the caster itself should know. Reysha deciphered such thing long ago.
She just floats there in silence and just in their very eyes, Yrsha and Ersha witnesses the magic being reconstructed and breaks down into bits of magical energy. Reysha is redefining the spell itself and breaking it.
“No way…” Yrsha could only mutter as she witnesses how her magic was being violated.
Reysha, with no time to waste, fled at high speed as the two was in a momentary daze. She left the after effect of the spell that block Ersha and Yrsha. A second later, Ersha realized it immediately.
“Ah! You won’t escape again Black Knight!” She shouted as she jumps towards the Black Knight’s direction with a furious expression.
“Wait, dear sister. Pursue no further than that.” Yrsha said as she blocked Ersha’s way with a magical barrier.
“Yrsha, do you know what you are doing?” Ersha asked Yrsha as she turns around to her direction.
“I am, dear sister. Our objective is to keep Prince Arytorio Kerias safe, not to pursue your nemesis. I won’t let you drag me further to your vengeance.” She explained.
“I see, I may have been a little short-sighted this time. Point taken, we shall let the Black Knight go for now. Though, aren’t you furious someone outwitted your spell just like that?” Ersha adamantly asked Yrsha.
“Furious I am not. I got a little tired though and the cold is not good for my skin as it makes it dry. Unlike you, I am a delicate flower.” Yrsha complained as she floats down towards the ground.
“Yes, yes, my dear delicate flower.” Ersha could only reply as she forcibly restrained her anger from earlier for Yrsha’s sake. “Thought, I really want to gut the black knight’s belly like a fish.” Ersha added.
“She is not that weak for you to talk lightly of her. Anyway, let’s go.” Yrsha exclaimed.
“Un…wait…she?” Ersha notices the way Yrsha addressed the black knight but her wailing question was ignored with silence.
“Fufufu, black knight, huh? I see she is having fun on her own.” Yrsha thought as she strides down with light step on the piled up snow.
She looks up at the impending blizzard and exhaled a foggy breath.
