“It hurts…It hurts…!” Ivy cries as she can feel nothing but the pain assaulting her body. She can only squirm as she falls from the sky.
Ivy has lost all senses of her surrounding and even though her body is in process of regeneration already, the pain was too intense for her to bear. She hasn’t noticed that she’ll be ending up worse if she can’t regain her focus.
Below her is one of the Einhart’s fields made of asphalt, a ground used for duels. The fall will definitely merciless to her. A few more seconds and her body will end up mangled from the fall.
However…
“Lady Ivy!” Lala Forchure shouted as she head-on catches Ivy in the ground with a firm footing. She expands her magical energy to its limit for her body enhancement to actually catch Ivy.
“Eeep!” Lala shrieks in a small voice as she tumbles on her butt lightly as Ivy safely lands on her arms.
“Lala, are you okay?” Meriyal immediately came with a hasten strides towards them.
“Princess Meriyal! Please go back to safety!” Lala pleaded as she properly positions Ivy in her cradle. They immediately saw how pained Ivy is.
“Meriyal…I’m so pathetic…” Ivy weakly muttered as she regains some of her senses.
“Heh, do I look like someone who will sympathize with a fool? Well, you are a fool and a friend of mine. So, how are you too?” Meriyal asked a question of the struggling Ivy.
“I think I mostly regenerated most of my wounds but…it’s kind of scary to face her again. I’m getting cold feet and I’ve actually lost a lot of magical energy just to heal my body.” Ivy replied with a bitter smile.
“You look like you panicked quite idiotically up there. You messed up your regeneration and used up more magical energy than actually required.” Meriyal further sunk her with words of actuality.
As they end the conversation there, Meriyal pulls on the dress from her neck downwards revealing her nape.
“Pr- Meriyal, what do you think you are doing!? S-Such shameless act of--!” Lala, who is pure in mind, reddens at the gesture of Meriyal.
Upon seeing the nape presented to her, Ivy’s eyes became glued to it by instinct and she hungrily glares at it. Her fang itches and her hands move to Meriyal’s body and pull her close.
Meriyal didn’t do anything but let Ivy sink her fangs on her unblemished nape and even, hugs her head and caresses it gently.
Meriyal’s gesture gave Ivy a sense of comfort and further indulges herself as she moves her hands on to Meriyal’s body and began fondling everything it comes across with.
“Wha--?! This is--?! Meriyal!” Lala panic as in her laps sits Ivy and in Ivy’s embrace is Lala. She can see a full view of their activity that flared her whole countenance ablaze from ear to ear.
“It is fine, Lala. She did so much for our kingdom. I won’t even bother if she sucks every drop of blood from me. I, Meriyal, never forget any debt and goodwill that I receive.” Meriyal said with a confident smile.
“But even so!” Lala tried to protest, however, she immediately stops as Ivy immediately moves her head away from Meriyal’s nape.
A small amount of blood drips on Meriyal’s nape and on Ivy’s lips.
“Thank you, Meriyal. But if I suck every ounce blood from you, you’ll shrivel up and you won’t look attractive anymore.” Ivy smiles at her before separating.
“I certainly wouldn’t want that. I expect you to continue supporting the Breille Kingdom like always, Demon Lord.” Meriyal said with a smile.
“Of course, I’ll be off now! Miss Reysha…Miss Reysha is…no, never mind. I’ll go now!” Ivy said as she flew off to the sky after saying her goodbye to Meriyal.
Ivy immediately left to join the fight once more and Meriyal could only sigh.
“Such troublesome girl…” Meriyal muttered.
“Um…this might be rude of me to ask you, Pri—I mean Meriyal, but…do you actually swing that way?!” Lala asked with widened eyes.
“I do not. Lala, shouldn’t I be asking you that question? There are rumors that you and Ries are quite intimate with each other.” Meriyal faintly grins at Lala.
“Eh?! No! That’s just a rumor! Why can’t it go away?! It’s also famous among the soldiers!” Lala said with a tired countenance.
“Anyway, my legs aren’t moving anymore due to anemia.” Meriyal bluntly said.
“Ah, yeah?! I’ll carry you then.” Lala said as she scoops Meriyal from the ground just to stumble by herself.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
“It seems you are quite fatigued yourself. “ Meriyal teases.
“I can do it! Ries is fighting out there and I as her vice, I shall fulfill a duty I am tasked to. By all means, it’s keeping you safe.” Lala said as she resolved herself.
Meanwhile, Reysha and Exodus continue their game of chase in the air with flight magic.
In the air, both slices through the sky with speed beyond normal.
“I need to think of something. World lapse should be my trump card but incurring the rebound will be a lot painful too. If ever she saw through my ability too, I may run out of anything to use against her.” Reysha thought as she furrows her brows.
She tried to look back at Exodus for a quick insight of Exodus’ movements and situation. She immediately noticed something.
“She ripped her artery carotid earlier. That act itself is suicidal as it is the fastest way to lose liters of blood but, she is not bleeding anymore. No, more importantly, to endure a blood loss of that degree is monstrous. Usually, when a carotid is cut, we need to make a tubing to connect each end again to keep the patient from bleeding out.” Reysha’s quick and keen observation gave her ideas about Exodus, however, more question pops out rather than finding an answer to one.
“Damn…I can’t use any medical approach in this world anymore! I have to remind myself that over and over again! But what? Human biology, Quantum physics, Psychological Variables, anything. There is a lot to use for reference but what?” Reysha tried to find an approachable reasoning that can explain Exodus’ ability, behavior, and even her innermost intelligence, however, she only has vague information about her.
“No…nothing, huh? I should abandon this train of thoughts…” Reysha immediately stops at her track and turned to Exodus.
“Oh, tired of the game?” Exodus said as she taps on her neck where the ruptured carotid should be. Her eyes widened a little.
“You don’t even know that you already regenerated your wound earlier. I can figure out something just from that. You can purposely wound yourself and chose not to regenerate it as long as you put your mind to it, however when you lose focus, it heals on its own.” Reysha said with confidence.
“Oh my, making a small talk? But I really am not keen on what abilities that I have. It’s a shame though that I regenerated the wound but it doesn’t really change anything.” Exodus said as she once again pursued Reysha.
“No break, huh?” Reysha almost clicks her tongue.
However, instead of turning away, Reysha drew her weapon once more and now, she dual wields two warhammer on her hands. As Exodus approached, she swings both warhammer.
“Oh!?” Exodus exclaimed, however, she calmly caught it with both hands.
However, as Reysha already expected this, she followed it up with another attack by drawing a broadsword from her dimensional storage and swung it towards Exodus.
“Ah, how tricky.” Exodus said it flatly as she immediately pulled on the warhammer that grabbed and used it to block the broadsword of Reysha.
“What an incredible strength….well…however…” Reysha said inside her mind as she used World Lapse and now appeared above Exodus with an axe kick in good form.
“I am quite tricky myself like Falikh.” Reysha grins a little before kicking Exodus on the back.
Exodus was immediately launched downwards and waiting below is…
“Payback!” Ivy with her Armlet of Icarus charged to the brim. She swung it with all her might and that impact immediately flared up a huge flame akin to the sun.
It was more brutal, severe, and much prettier than the one she used earlier. A visage of a phoenix rises from the beholding flames that birthed from her magical energy. The light of the flames swallowed the nightly dusk and brilliance as beau as the stars erupted upward.
“Ivy, don’t let up!” Reysha shouted as she tries to find where Exodus will come.
“I’m already here.” A creepy whisper came to Reysha’s ears.
In the next moment, she can feel her left shoulder burning up and her right arm being grabbed. Without even comprehending what happened, she was thrown violently towards Ivy with the sensation of her right rotator cuff tearing.
“Kah!” Reysha could only gasp as she was sent flying.
“Miss Reysha!” Ivy immediately prepares to catch Reysha but because Exodus’ strength greatly outmatched them, she was also dragged into their descent to the ground.
BAM!
The sound of their bodies hitting the earth resounds and both of them spew blood from their mouth.
Reysha’s sight becomes hazy and she feels not only her damaged cuff but also a horrible pain in her right leg. As she tries to assess what happened in haste, she immediately realizes that her leg is bent in the wrong direction.
“Ah…this sucks…” Reysha said as she tried tasting the blood inside her mouth.
“What a…monster…Miss Reysha…Are we…going to die here?” Ivy’s desperate voice called out.
“Possible…ack…she can even…see through our special abilities…she’s also too tough for us. I can’t see any possibilities for a victory.” Reysha bluntly told Ivy their situation.
“No…I don’t want to die…I don’t want to die again…!” Ivy cried out as she desperately stands up but lost her strength and fell back to the ground.
“Hey now, who said anything about dying?” Reysha said with a grin.
“But…!” Ivy tried to find the meaning behind Reysha’s word.
“I realized…that the matchup…is bad…that’s why…I kind of just need…to buy time…” Reysha said.
Ivy can only shudder as she found it hopeless. She can’t think of anyone else who can defeat Exodus or even stand on an equal footing with her. She already knows that Reysha and her are out of the norms but Exodus shows an even more absurd ability.
Simple and brutal, it perfectly describes her.
Ivy can only tremble in despair as Exodus slowly descends towards their place with a sadistic smile plastered on her countenance.
However, at that exact very moment, just a split second, Exodus, who was floating down daintily, was smashed by something fast moving, a huge metal or something similar and was kept flying on the same direction until she crashes.
“Huh?” Ivy sprouted a dumb look.
“Here I am thinking…how many girls are you even trying to hit on?” Reysha spoke with her consciousness slowly fading.
Standing in front of them is that girl.
“Ahahaha! It’s quite minimal in number but I won’t tell!” Victoria said.
“You…” Ivy pointed at her with a gaping mouth.
“Oh, how pitiful! What you fair maidens has gone through is quite vile!~” Victoria exclaimed with exaggerated hand gestures.
From the rubbles, Exodus’s figure emerges with a lot of wounds.
“Ah…you are that one…right? The summoned hero?” Exodus said with a tone of wariness.
“Ahahaha! Indeed, it is I, Victoria! Wait, my lines are getting cringy. Better think of something new…but, oh well!” Victoria shrugs as she brought out a handgun called El Diablo.
Victoria bows courteously at Exodus.
“I’m honored to be bestowed a dance with such fair lady! Anyway, I’m going to have a chicken dinner tonight.” Victoria said as she flashes a fearless grin.
“That’s right…the only people who can match with someone with a loose screw, is also someone of the same flock.” Reysha thought before she completely succumbs to unconsciousness.
