Reysha and friends finally arrived at dawn at the crusty forest where snow made it covered in a beautiful white world. The snowflakes slowly descends from the sky and the trees made no sound but pleasantness upon gazing them takes over anyone who watches them
The interchanging from one season to another is what makes the charm and winter itself bring a whole new level of it. There is a scale of downside that one can count about winter, however, even spring, summer, and autumn has tons of things to be frowned upon.
But right now, our sole focus is the winter at hand, in which one of the passengers of the carriage really frowns.
“Cooold…freezing…even though I am wearing all of these robes, I can’t even do something about this chill!” Aspara complained as she shivers in one side of the carriage.
“To think that you’ll be having your monthly bloodbath during this trip, it’s really unfortunate for you.” Reysha simply said as snuggles up to her warm fur coat.
“Shut up Einhart!” Aspara snarls back.
“Can’t you just warm yourself up with magic? Councilor Aspara is good with it, right?” Ries, who is now sitting inside the carriage as Lala drives, asked.
“Kerias have rune stones to keep you warm and toasty if you install it in your garments. I believe such thing is nothing sort of new to you, Miss Aspara. So, how did you end up with that?” Meriyal asked with a smug.
“I don’t do well with the cold I admit, however, to be stricken with a goddamn period is nothing sort of fun at all! In my case which is a little special, it disrupts my magic nodes. Casting takes a little more concentration and sometimes, it is disrupted. Also, I didn’t expect such occasion happening so I don’t the appropriate rune stones!” Aspara explained as she endures the chilling cold.
“Remembering that you said you lived quite longer than anyone else here, isn’t it a little relieved to know that such cycle still happens to you? It proves that your reproductive system is still functional.” Falikh, who is lightly clothed despite the weather, said.
“Shut up…I didn’t understand the last part that you said so I will inquire about it later but…how come you are fine with this cold?!” Aspara asked back to Falikh who just shrugged.
If anyone wondering, Magic Node is a system inside a person of this world that triggers like a normal body system. However, unlike the bloodstreams like artery and veins, magic nodes are single lining throughout the body that delivers magic at the speed of how our blood is pumped.
In hindsight, the monthly period is said to make the magic node system malfunction making the caster unable to concentrate their magic.
“Ummm…is that it?!” Lala who was driving the carriage shouted with a question.
In front of her is something unbelievable in her eyes, a mansion amidst the forest. No normal traveler could go deep inside the forest but the said mansion is much deeper than one could ever imagine.
Falikh immediately opens the door of the carriage and jumps out. He then ran towards the mansion excitingly.
“Is he a kid or something?” Reysha thought as she watches Falikh.
As the carriage stops at the front of the said mansion, Reysha and co also step down. As soon as they approach the door, a figure of someone came out.
“Oh? Hey, welcome back Miss Reysha. Also, welcome to your friends too. Thank you for keeping our leader safe.” Teth, who is still wearing an apron, said as he bows down to Reysha and co.
“I really wish that guy learn a thing or two from you. How is it here?” Reysha speaks in a refined manner.

“Yup, all of you arrived at a great timing. I was just about to cook so seeing that there’s a whole lot of you, I can prepare more than usual. I’ll be sure to cook something so delish for the Princess, the Councilor, the demon lord, and those dignified Knights over there. I’ll make a good reception so feel at ease. Come inside now to warm yourselves up.” Teth covered everything.
From his words alone, Reysha steps in nonchalantly followed by Aspara who is still shivering. Comes next is Ivy who dashes towards a soft and comfortable sofa and dives.
“Uoooh! The comfort of a nice chair after a while! I am in heaven!~” Ivy said with melting face as she indulges in the soft sofa.
Comes next is Meriyal and her knights, however, Lala and Ries hesitated to enter as they are a little confused.
“Excuse us Princess but it seems that you are familiar with this place. May we know what kind of place is this?” Ries raises a question.
“This place? My, it is nothing short of a rest stop for me.” Meriyal said with a slight grin on her face.
“I would like to ask too…” Lala also raises a concern and glances at Teth with amazement as he is not an exception for being a handsome man despite his bulky build.
“This place…ah…our hideout, our base. We are actually bandits…” Teth said with a really anxious face.
“Bandits?! Princess, this place!” Ries shouted as she drew her sword.
“Cease it Ries for my fiancé, Hansen, is also part of them. Besides, the protector of this place won’t lay low if you make a ruckus. Trust me, they are harmless as a fly, though, a fly is nothing but irritation.” Meriyal explained as she glances over Reysha when she said the word protector.
“L-Lord Hansen? What manner of…jest is this?” Lala could only mutter as she watches Meriyal casually sits in one of the expensive couch.
“Ah, I’m glad you are well, Meriyal.” Hansen said as he comes down from the stairs.
Ries and Lala had their mouth gaping upon seeing the countenance of Hansen, one of the renowned nobles of Breille Kingdom. However, seeing that their princess is comfortable and away from danger, they sheathed their weapons and followed Meriyal.
“Well, it seems the two knights have settled now too. I am going to head back to the kitchen and…also, Miss Aspara, I noticed that there’s something wrong with you. Are you sick or something? I can bring over some medicines such as pain reliever if that is okay with you?” Teth said with a concerned face towards Aspara.
“I appreciate it! Please do…” Aspara replied as she hovers closer to the fireplace.
As Teth heads to the kitchen to resume his task, Aspara weakly said “I wish I could take him as my husband…no…a wife? With all of those capabilities of him and how he takes care of people…”
“That’s no good. Teth is everyone’s wife, so don’t try to take him…” Reysha replied.
Everyone didn’t say any words as they are trying to relax their minds. The still silent was nothing odd from the set of people in the place and everyone appreciates such quietness as Falikh is absent as he headed somewhere.
However…that silence won’t last even for an hour as an intruder suddenly barges in…
BAM!
The front door of the mansion was slammed open and there, emerges a woman with a short black hair that sways left and right. She’s wearing a jacket with a simple shirt underneath combined with black tight pants and a steel greaves. In her arms is a gauntlet in her shoulders rides a lone girl…or most likely…a man in drag.
Reysha and everyone’s attention was suddenly dragged to the source of the noise and everyone felt a chill as they stare at the appearance of a new face in the mansion.
“The seas run above the sky and the clouds rode underneath the ocean! The flash of light is also accompanied by the darkness that dims that world with no hope!” She steps in throw the boy in drag towards them. Reysha immediately caught him by reflex.
“I, the one who knows, shall tear asunder the land and break the down the concept of death itself, will bring forth oblivion!” She shouted as she steps in grandly with a pose.
“For I am the World Eater, the one who will bring both Salvation and Despair!”
“For I am the World Eater, the one who will bring both Salvation and Despair!”
Two sentences interlope one another. One voice came from a man and one came from the girl in front of everyone.
The one who appeared in front of everyone is none other than the hero herself, Victoria.
“Eh? No way! Someone also knows the verse of the World Eater that granny and I thought about?!” Victoria shouted.
“It is as you said! Victoria, look up here!” Shouted by a man, Falikh, who steps down from the stair.
“How?! And you even know my name?!” Victoria pointed her fingers to Falikh.
“My foolish granddaughter from the life I have exhausted before, I am Camille, your granny! Hahaha!” Falikh grandly announces.
“You reincarnated in this world Granny?! Talk about real shit! Ahahaha!” Victoria said as she laughs and gives a thumb up to Falikh.
Meanwhile…upon learning the fact that the identity of the hero is none other than her granddaughter who is as worse as Camille, or rather, Falikh, Reysha falls further into despair knowing that both of them combined will be her worst headache fodder.
“Who is fooling around with my fate?!” Reysha shouted inside her mind.
