Chapter 126: Inland Skirmish 6

Chapter 126: Inland Skirmish 6

The sound of steel clashing with each other and battle cries roaring reverberate within the ruins of what was called the Einhart Manor’s front yard. Seran Einhart fights toe to toe with one of the homunculi brought by Exodus while Ersha Einhart, assisted by Ries D’Levierre, struggles to hold onto their ground.

“Seran, I’m drinking a second revitalizer!” Mirsha shouted as she brought out a bottle of blue fluid inside it.

“Already?!” Seran shouted without looking away from his enemy with an anxious voice.

“You, Ersha, and Miss Knight there are consuming too much magical energy from me. If this goes on, my enhancement on all of you might falter.” Mirsha explained in haste. She is aware of the gap that may appear if even slightest of their defense lowers.

Their foes, the homunculus, are reading every single movement they exert and appropriately defend against it while throwing a counterattack.

They immediately knew that it was a set pattern for them other than attacking. Even so, they are having a hard time dealing with the homunculus’ absurd strength, speed, and reflexes to act on time, movements that solely rely on instinct.

“They are just like moving puppets and yet, they are giving me this much of a trouble! It’s infuriating and annoying!” Ersha cussed as she once again defended against an attack.

“Miss Einhart, I would like to stay positive but at this rate, we are bound to lose. Sadly, my thoughts wanted to ask if we are expecting reinforcement.” Ries said as she supported Ersha’s back as the blow that she received almost blew her.

“There’s no shame to expect companions in times of peril. Fortunately, we have, Miss D’Levierre but I will ask of you, please hold out a little longer.” Ersha assured Ries’ growing anxiety.

Even though Ersha said those words with utmost confidence, she herself is also faltering physically. The strength of the homunculus is no jest and it inflicts so much weight in its blow.

“Did I lack in my training?! My hands, my legs, my core, everything is trembling. Even with mother’s enhancement, we are losing to these damn dolls!” Ersha thought.

“If I fall here, what will become of Reysha and Yrsha!? If I can’t overcome this, I can’t call myself an older sister worthy for them!” Trying to find a conviction within her heart, Ersha pushes through.

“Miss Einhart, please don’t be reckless!” Ries shouted as she saw that Ersha tried crossing sword with the homunculus on her own.

“Mother, please cut off your enhancement magic on me!” Ersha proceeded.

“Do you have a plan?” Mirsha tried to confirm.

“Do I look like the smartest child that you birthed?!” Ersha rebutted with a shout as she swings her sword horizontally followed by a sweep that immediately deflected the enemy’s counterattack.

“Fine! I’ve taught you how to take a bath all by your own when you were younger! I guess you can handle everything now!” Mirsha replied with a twitching cheek.

With a snap, Mirsha disconnects her enhancement on Ersha and in suddenness, Ersha finds herself getting pushed back by the homunculus with greater strength.

“What the hell are you doing?!” Ersha shouted towards Mirsha.

“But you told me to! You really didn’t specify when!” Mirsha replied with a grin.

“Tsk, I really can’t do anything about that…but, well then.” Ersha muttered as she started shedding her armor.

“Miss Einhart, what are you suddenly doing?! Ah!” Ries exclaimed from the sight of Ersha’s odd behavior all the while she meets the sword of the homunculus aimed at Ersha.

“Understand the circumstance, I feel like I can go beyond my own ability now. Miss D’Levierre, please hold on for a moment.” Ersha’s quickly replied as she removes her chainmail and leather padding from her body.

“My responsibilities held me back quite a lot while Reysha and Yrsha got ahead of me. I will close in that gap in one whole leap.” Ersha thought as she then took a stance unbeknownst to everyone in the field.

She held her sword perpendicular to her shoulder with both her feet parted outward slightly away from her shoulder length and her hips are lowered a little giving her a stronger and better hold of her ground by strengthening her core.

Slowly, she uses her own magical energy to boosts her own abilities, however, it was on a whole new level of a concept known to Mirsha.

Stolen story; please report.

“My daughter, you finally realized your potential as one who holds the blood of a Shaman Panther.” Mirsha muttered to herself upon witnessing the tremendous growth in power of Ersha.

Ersha, without a doubt, seems to be the strongest and the symbol of the strength of the whole kingdom, however, within their family, she can be rendered the weakest.

Reysha is already out of the question but Yrsha holds knowledge and absolute advantage as long as the condition is met. Mirsha and Seran are both veterans in their own fields and they, without a doubt, can hold their ground better than Ersha.

“If I didn’t remove my enhancement, it will only get in the way of her new technique.” Mirsha proudly said inside her mind.

“Then, here I go!” Ersha shouted as she further lowers her stance and pointed her sword towards the foe.

Meanwhile, a battle that can be foretold in epic traverse in the blanket of the night, leaving the vicinity of the Einhart Manor and taking the whole expanse of the battle further into the prairie devoid of any obstruction.

BAM!

A part of a small hill becomes rabble and a cloud of dust rises, however, it was immediately swept by a raging force of wind created from Exodus’ violent movement. In her chase is Victoria who runs around with her agile steps.

“You move well with your feet! Despite lacking the ability to use flight magic, you were able to cope up with my attacks by dodging with sheer difference in distance. Applaud worthy!” Exodus said as she once again strikes up another punch that sweeps that air around her.

“The same can be said to you! A tenacious woman is one of my favorite and yet, it is also my pet peeves. If you keep pursuing me, I might really need to answer you in kind!~” Victoria rebutted with a smile as she once again leaped a great distance between her and Exodus.

“I’ve enough of data gathering and I want to do my experiments as soon as possible. Why don’t we wrap it up for today?” Exodus stops at her track with a light sigh and faint smile on her lips.

“Certainly, your getup is kind of unbearable in the eyes. I don’t want any men to lay their eyes upon your fine white smooth skin of yours. Here, I’ll even lend you my coat.” Victoria teases.

“An epitome of a gentleman I see. Pardon me as I shall partake on your offer.” Exodus said as she walks over to Victoria calmly.

It is as Victoria says, Exodus’ gallant clothes were torn and ripped by her earlier engagement, although it leaves a question as to why she doesn’t even possess a single scratch on her body. As such, Victoria offered her coat to Exodus.

As they came toe to toe, Victoria handed the coat that she was wearing and Exodus gladly accepted it and wore it in glee.

“Your implications earlier tell me that you are attracted to me, no? This feeling is quite new for me to explore even though the knowledge is implanted in me. As such, how such a man like you will express your thorough attraction for me?” Exodus immediately drops a question to Victoria’s face.

“Oh, what do you know? You have this cute side that everyone should know! Though, you are mistaken as I am of the same gender, a woman.” Victoria grins at Exodus as she started a stance of someone hitting it off with someone.

Unexpectedly, Exodus sprouts a surprised countenance.

“Now this is what they call plot twist, huh? I’m honestly confused.” Exodus said while looking at Victoria in wonder.

“Is it now? Do you dislike exploring a new height of a relationship? Is it not to your liking embracing a gender of your own? You might find it more interesting than conquest.” Victoria said with as she gently pulls on Exodus’ waist.

“Ah!~ I have such no extensive knowledge of it so, will you?” Exodus got closer to Victoria and gently held onto her head.

“Oh? Gladly.” Victoria, enticed by Exodus’ initiative, goes for a straightforward kiss on her lips.

Victoria has full intent of making this one good press on the lips coupled with more sensual touches, however, Exodus has something else on her mind and that plan succeeded.

Before Victoria could actually peck on Exodus’ lips, Exodus immediately grab on Victoria’s head and with great vigor and strength that could turn rabbles to dust effortlessly, she slams Victoria’s face on the ground.

BAM!

Exodus put her whole strength behind that attack that it actually created a fissure and a small scale earthquake, enough to shatter the whole prairie into a mess that it dug several meters of a crater. It was all caused by just mercilessly slamming Victoria’s face on the ground.

Exodus spared no thoughts and strength in delivering such attack that Victoria’s head is practically buried with the only neck down of her body is visible.

“This is seduction, a trickery in which uses flirting and even dirtier exploitation of own body to catch the enemy defenseless, however, I felt it has no meaning to it as the foe was easily misled. I didn’t know such a buffoon would easily strike down despite I am nothing compared to my esteemed mother.” Exodus said as she let go of Victoria’s neck with disappointment.

“Ah, but for a buffoon like you, it’s actually quite a problem if you truly desired me. Constricting the law of the act of lasciviousness to an underage, you’ll get arrested, well, not in this world. You may not be aware of this but I am actually just around three years of age and it’s not even a matter of week since I woke up.” Exodus sits beside Victoria’s body and pokes her with her index finger.

“I’m grateful though, for your consideration of keeping my decency despite it being useless. I’ll take good care of this coat.” Exodus stood up in a glee and started walking away.

“…Ah, I’m glad you liked my coat then.” A voice, muffled from the ground, resounded.

“What…? This shouldn’t be…possible…” Exodus immediately leaped backward in alertness.

“Man, you really did me good, huh? I feel like I’ll be having a hard time with a stiff neck for the next coming days.” Victoria arises from the earth where her head was buried. It showed no damage or such with the exception of dust and dirt clinging on to her face.

Exodus once again puts up her guard as Victoria now exudes a new ambiance different from the one who she is fighting earlier.

“I really don’t have any idea how much you can take but, well, at least I know now. I really wanted to embrace you in many ways but, I do think I need you to submit first. Expect that I will not hold back, okay, darling?” Victoria grinned at Exodus with longing eyes.

“I see, you are indeed a tough buffoon…” Exodus returned a crazed smile in return.

“Let’s start the real battle now with a bang…” Victoria charges towards Exodus once more but now, leaving the latter in surprise.

“Antithesis.” Victoria said in delight.
