Mark decided that he would learn Veltun’s language at the same time as the kids were learning English or at least the common language spoken by the people from the circus. Better yet, he knew that it would be better if he learned more about the planet considering that he was living there.

He decided to look for a tutor among the circus people when Mark and the kids returned to the circus.

They went back home to their RV before lunch and while they were eating lunch, he asked Milena that he needed a teacher.

“Why don’t you ask one of the elven sisters to teach you?” Milena asked.

“The sisters are busy. Not only they are handling the computer gaming tents, but their attention is currently centered on what they can get from Earth. I would prefer to hire a dedicated and educated teacher. Also, the lessons would be held on Earth at the same time while the kids are learning my language,” Mark answered.

“I’ll ask around for you,” Milena said.

The next day, they returned to Earth for the kids' lessons and the moment they entered the Void Gate he heard the landline ringing. When he answered it, it was the tutors telling him that they were already outside.

Mark dispelled the Comprehend Language spell that he cast on the twins and Liriel. He still had the spell on him so he could still understand what the kids were saying but now the kids wouldn’t understand the tutors when they spoke English. He already informed the kids what would happen so they were prepared and even Liriel understood.

The lessons began soon after and Mark stayed in the room beside where the tutors were teaching the kids. Everyone was having difficulty with the lessons but it was expected and Mark could see that the two female tutors were experienced. They were amazed and gratified by how intelligent and obedient the kids were.

Mark was reading a novel while the kids were receiving their lessons but at least the twins and Liriel could see him every time they looked at the room beside them. At first, Mark thought that with how brave the kids were, his presence was actually not necessary but he could them looking at him once in a while as if trying to make sure that he was still there and that made him believe that the kids needed him there.

After a couple of hours, the lessons were over and the tutors said their goodbyes. Mark and the kids then went back to the circus.

It was still early when they went home so the kids ran outside to play followed by Lisa. Milena soon arrived with another woman in tow and he learned that she was one of the actresses in Linuel’s theater group.

“Mark, this is Diana. She is one of the actresses in the theater and one of the people who applied to become your tutor when I let it know that you needed one. There were a lot of people from the circus who applied and I selected her because of her background,” Milena said.

Mark shook hands with Diana and the actress-turned-tutor introduced herself and her background to him. When Milena saw that the two were talking, she left to go back to the Convenience Store.

Diana said that she was a university graduate in one of the cities that the circus passed through. She joined the theater group to escape the city and her family who were trying to marry her off to a perverted old man to whom his stepfather owed a lot of money even though her education was high.

It only happened because her mother died and she has no other family aside from her stepfather. After Linuel learned that she was a talented actress, the circus protected her and had been a part of the theater group for five years.

“Is it okay for you to tutor me? Will Linuel not mind?”

“I already asked and since it’s only going to be a couple of hours a day, the lesson shouldn’t take away from any of my responsibility in the circus theater,” Diana answered.

Diana was also already aware that the lessons would be held on Earth while the kids were receiving their lessons from their tutor. He didn’t even know how much remuneration she would receive since Milena was the one handling that but based on what Milena had said about a lot of people applying, she must have offered a high enough salary.

Basically, the lessons would be five times a day for two hours starting at eight in the morning until ten, which was the same with the kids’ lessons.

During the next few days, Mark learned the language of Veltun while the kids were learning English at the same time. Based on the rate of him learning the language, it would only probably take him a few days before he could speak the common language passably and only a month before he was proficient.

Mark understood that it was because of his increased stats and the fact that he had been speaking the language for quite some time under the Comprehend Language spell. Although he was informed by the elven sisters that one couldn’t truly use the Comprehend Language spell to learn a language, it would help a lot when one decided to officially learn the language he had been using the spell to speak.

Mark also learned a lot about the culture and the known geography of the Veltun.

The English tutors that he had found for the kids were also amazed at how brilliant the kids were since they were also capable of speaking short sentences already after a few days. That meant at the start of the school year they should be able to join Albert in the new school.

During the first few days that Diana was teaching Mark, she was a bit distracted by the things that she saw in Robert’s house but she soon adjusted. More than likely it was because she was part of the circus and had already been exposed to some of the things from Earth that were shown by Mark and she had seen the movies as well.

When the weekend arrived, to reward themselves for learning a lot, Mark decided to treat the kids and Diana by bringing them on a tour of one of California’s malls and he chose one of the livelier ones.

The good thing was even though Mark wasn’t as rich as Donald or Robert, he did still have money and they used it to shop around. The bad thing was the moment he used his credit card, he noticed the arrival of agents but at least they didn’t interrupt their fun day.

Diana noticed immediately and Mark then knew that the people from the circus were truly capable. He had to explain to Diana the situation so she wouldn’t start attacking the people who were following them and decided to follow Mark’s request and ignore them.

After their fun day, Mark managed to trick the agents by casting mass invisibility and then they returned to Veltun.

Diana was showing off the things she had purchased to Milena, Lisa, and Norleen while the kids ran off to show off their new toys to their friends followed by Connor.

It was an exhausting and fun day and after dinner, the kids immediately fell asleep. Mark spent the rest of the evening talking with Sam and the others and was glad that his friends were still enjoying their dungeon diving.
