Mark was sad to see that a lot of the villagers died in front of their houses, but the important thing right now was to save the people who were still alive. From what he could see the remaining survivors were inside a big house that was located at the center of the village and most of the monsters were in front of it.
The house was being defended by the remaining villagers who could take up arms. They were wielding farm implements like scythe and pitchforks, but some were wielding a sword and shield.
He immediately flew towards the house to confront the monsters and placed himself in front of the villagers. Mark could hear the villagers cheering when they saw him flying to them. Since the villagers were at his back now, he immediately cast Glacial Void towards the monsters. He could see that there were two huge trolls, at least five kobolds, and six Gnolls that were attacking the house he assumed was owned by the leader or chief of the village.
Freezing energy from the other dimension was summoned to the world and hurled at the monsters and most of them froze and the rest were severely slowed down. Mark didn’t waste time and killed all of the monsters by casting Void Chain Lightning and Void Hurricane on them. The energy from the void dimension formed what looked like lightning and ripped the monsters apart then that same energy jumped from one monster to the next. The Void Hurricane also summoned void energy from the other dimension and swirled in the center of the monsters causing their doom.
The spells silence the villagers and when Mark was sure that all of the monsters attacking the house were dead he turned to the villagers and saw them gaping at him. He imagined that this was the first time they saw some high-level spells that were being used by a wizard based on their expressions.
Mark could still hear some shouting and monsters noised in the other parts of the village, so he flew upwards to check the other monster’s location. He saw Barak fighting a troll and from what it looked like, the dwarf was winning effortlessly. He also saw Hamil and Dozon fighting several kobolds and Gnolls and their movement brought to mind the agile characters in some of the action RPG games that he played. The way Hamil wielded his sword was fast and deadly and Dozon looked like a ninja mowing the enemies apart.
He concentrated on the other parts where there were monsters and one was fighting them and he saw just a couple of areas, so Mark immediately flew towards those areas and killed the monsters using Lightning Void and Void Bolt. He used single-target spells to avoid any accidents of friendly fire. He did the same in the next area and after that, he could hear no more monsters shouting in the village and confirmed it by flying high and checking everywhere.

Mark flew back down to where the villagers at the center of the village were located.
“Gather all the wounded at this house so I can heal them,” Mark told the person who looked like the villager’s leader based on the man’s demeanor. He saw Hamil, Dozon, and Barak coming in from their fight.
“Did you check if all the monsters are dead?” Hamil asked Mark.
“Yes. I flew up and saw no more monsters or shouting. There are a lot of wounded, and I asked the remaining villagers to gather everyone here so I can heal them.”
After a few minutes, a villager told Mark that all of the wounded were already inside the house, so he went inside together with Hamil, Dozon, and Barak. He saw the wounded on the floor and the rest of the villagers like the women and children waiting. He cast his Bed of Daisies spell and the villagers gasped when they saw the flowers grow from the ground and began healing the wounded. He needed to cast the spell at least two more times before all of the villagers were healed.
Hamil talked to the village chief and asked where the entrance to the portal was since they needed to close the portal to avoid any more monster overflow.
The man led Mark, Hamil, Dozon, and Barak to where the portal dungeon was located which was north of the village inside a grove of fruit trees.
“Leonus, our old village mage entered together with three elven women and after a couple of days the portal became unstable and suddenly turned red and when we checked, it indicated that it was now a high-level dungeon with twenty floors. We immediately sent a couple of messengers to the city, one to the circus as one of the elven women instructed us to do if something happened and the other messenger was for the council.”
Mark cast his Good Berry spells and asked everyone to partake in the berries it produced which would replenish their stamina and satiate any hunger they were feeling. After that, the group immediately entered the dungeon without hesitation.
The first floor of the dungeon was a cave and Hamil told him that this type of place setting was usually the norm when it comes to dungeons. They saw that there were no enemies and Dozon mentioned that the overflow came from the lower floors. They made assumptions that the first few floors were conquered by the villager’s mage and the elven sisters, and the dungeon only mutated when the elven sisters were on the lower floors.
They immediately moved forward and looked for the entrance to the next floor. They did it several times until they reached the ninth floor. There they heard some fighting in the distance.
The group ran until they saw an old man and the three elven sisters in a corner fighting a huge number of monsters consisting of kobolds, Gnolls, and trolls of different varieties. There were warriors, archers, and magicians in the monster mix.
Mark saw that Monterra was on the ground wounded but still mobile and the corner was being defended by a magical shield that was cast by the old man. Eilintraee and Solinae were attacking the monsters using a combination of spells and archery and Solinae was casting spells from the ground but from their appearance, they were already in their last leg.
Mark immediately summoned his Forest Guardians, Tree Golems, and Bush Golems and commanded them to attack the monsters. He then cast Forest Sanctuary in the old mage and elven sister's midst.
